Never beat the rat at punch out cause I suck at punch out, so I’ve never read his ending text there. Gotta say, him calling you an ugly motherfucker for his last words is pretty good
Doesnt help that it's a really shit punch out, I can tell you the super nintendo punch out is way easier than this.

I counted 4 main references to the punch out part: Aran Ryan (hit with Casey, throw of ammo box) Bald Bull (charge attack) Soda Popinsky (heal by eating cheese) and Super Macho Man (the spin attack)
The heal could also be the part where doc Louis heals himself, if you know about that part.
I got the right-left-right-uppercut as a reference to both Piston Hurricane and Nick Bruiser from SNES Super Punch-Out, and the taunt from Soda Popinski from the wii Punhc Out.
Dont forger, star punches
The whole thing is a metal gear solid 1 reference as well. Down to having a fist fight on top of a mech after blowing it up with a short timed bomb sitting nearby.
also the tail slap move where he launches himself at you is an aran ryan move maybe

damn... so well handled and so much damage. also I had no clue you could break off parts of the mech. never won the punch out either
They could at least give you three life bars like the rat. But nope. And if you wish to get all his items you gotta finish each of his life bars with a 3 star punch. They just had to make it as annoying as possible, didn't they?
@@JJ18355 no offense to gungeon diehards but the entire game has odd balance issues and strange design choices. None of them game-breaking but all of them affecting the overall experience

@@magusperde365 Over a year later and having 100% the game a long long time ago, I can confirm this is true. Poor old me from 1+ yr couldn't get to the punch out phase enough to learn how truly brutal it was 😭

@Melone What??? The worst character?! Bruh i find her abilities very useful. Yes indeed her shotgun is trash i sometimes use it to waste a bit ammo if i got a green ammunition box to use it but her pistol is good, it does low damage but it shoot fast and its enough to complete the first three levels with it, the molotov is probably the most useful when you fighting of course bosses and large group of tanky enemies, her ability when you get hit to get more damage you don't have to (I think) completely hit yourself just to use it, it's more of a backup if you are on low heath to kill the enemy faster (Despite that I don't find it very helpful either, I don't see any kind of difference maybe it stacks but i don't wanna hit myself :/). Every character is good on its own if you use them well and I don't know how im gonna get the gunslinger... I only got at the forge once...
The pilot is by far the worst..yeah you can unlock chests for free and have discounts. But his starting weapon is the worst gun.

What happens if you get to the punch out stage while playing two player and only the cultist is alive?
Player 1 automatically plays punch out no matter if they’re dead and u gotta open a reg chest to rev them not the rat chests
