I don't eat any type of fish (or chicken) skin, so I always take the skin off my salmon before cooking it. Using hot water is a bad idea, just use a sharp knife to take off the skin. Also, I air-fry my salmon, no frying, but I do baste with melted butter :-)
when I cook chicken I remove skin and freeze it...when I have a full zip lock bag I cook it in the air fryer.. maybe I could do same with salmon skin ... wonderful appetizers 😋😋

Do that after it's on the plate. As for the salt just sprinkle a pinch of Red Himalayan rock salt on the salmon. It's crunchy and will remove heavy metals from the fish.
Anyway, if you guys want an actual delicious recipe with salmon here it goes: keep the skin, add salt and pepper, coat your salmon with mayonnaise and some orange juice (preferably squeeze fresh orange) and bake in the oven at 180-200°C for 15-25 minutes depending on how thick your pieces of salmon are.
If you cook your Salmon on a fairly high heat .. the skin will get nice and crispy with the salmon flesh perfectly cooked. Tender and flaky.. not overcooked. It cooks quickly. You don't want it deep fried.. over done.

Just to put it out there, regardless if you enjoy the skin or not, its actually usually easier to remove the skin after cooking because the heat causes the thin layer of fat between the skin and flesh to render and become easily removable either by your fork or peeling it off
