Great music, especially the last movement! Hearing this it is hard to believe this music was originally composed for clavier.

Ich finde es eine tolle Interpretation. Im Speziellen ein Lob an die Kameraregie, die die Partitur kennt😄👍🌹

One of the hardest piano pieces to interpret for orchestra? Interesting Idea

Interesting combination of fantasy in c minor k.475 plus sonata no.14, 1st movement~~ The fantasy ends about 9:00 and goes on to sonata no.14, both c minor~Piu Allegro part reminds me of J.S.Bach Brandenburg concert no.4, 3rd movement~~ Well, no offense, Just curious, why the arranger, Carl David Stegmann didn't finished the arrangement work at 9:00 and go on to sonata 14, 1st movement~?:)

The Fantasy for Piano K. 475 is concluded in Stegmann's arrangement with the first movement of the Piano Sonata K. 457: The two works were published in the same edition, initiated by Mozart himself in 1785, which insinuates a more than "certain" connection.

Thank you for the upload! Now, I absolutely don't like the tempi in the KV 475, this unbelievably profound and unsusual, wildy chromatic piece sounds rather desperatly rushed and devoid of expression. Adagio means not only slow, but that the metric is subdivided, deliberate, and that the flow is ad-agio, meaning rubato, flexible, somewhat improvisational especially in this case - and at the very least, slow tempi could have a definite cantabile quality to it. None of that in the Fantasia - as much as I adore Goebels amazing, brilliant work with Musica Antiqua Köln. The Sonata's first movement sounds fresh though. The orchestration mostly works, it's really not grateful to translate delicate pianistic passage work into orchestral writing.

"Desperatly rushed and devoid of expression" you say. Sorry, are we listening to the same music? I respect you opinion, but I have to say I dont agree at all.

@@staffanolofsson8201 your question might sound like a rhetoric one, but it's indeed a great question - and the answer is: while we might be listening to the same sound, we are evidently not hearing the same music.

@@staffanolofsson8201 thank you, I appreciated the corteous exchange with you. I've just listened yesterday to Sokolov playing this piece, didn't know that interpretation before, quite amazing. There are many others too. I wish you all best!

Thank you Fabio, now I have listened to Sokolov in this Fantasie. Very very good! And perhaps this music is best on solo piano?
