I started coaching my cousins and they're very different body types..one is 6'3 250lbs the other is 5'6 and weighed 130 when he started. I did a sort of energy audit by asking him everything and I actually had them track 2 weeks of how they regularly ate. The 250lb cousin had jumped on a very strict diet and was averaging 1600 calories with very little protein and had been stuck for 3 weeks and even started gaining weight, I still think he was a case of metabolic adaptation. right now I bumbed him to 2500-2800 cals and after 4 weeks training with me he still weighs 250 but has gotten better body composition. My 130 lbs cousin was eating 1800 but no protein and after putting him on 2400 he went up to 142 but has significantly better body composition.
Have you experienced someone's appetite (not just want for food but physiological need) not matching up with one's actual caloric need? I run into sleep issues (predominantly being able to sleep through the night), dizziness, lethargy, nausea, and irritability/low mood when attempting even a modest deficit (~250 calories). Just maintaining my weight feels quite restrictive, even though I'm eating a normal amount of calories for a person of my size. It feels like my body seems to think it needs around 300 to 500 calories more than it actually needs. Also note that I'm not lean, I'd say I hover around 27 to 30% body fat percentage and even that is a major struggle. I just can't seem to function when I cut calories and it's really frustrating since I do everything else right but can't seem to do the actual important part of losing weight.
Powerlifting with gear is and always has been the stupidest thing actively utilized in sports. I guess it’s fun, but it’s a pretty underwhelming way to display strength.
The people who hold onto the treadmill handles are the same people who clap when the plane lands.
holy shit lmao
The Dinnie stones at the Arnold's were indeed replicas.
Love the “energy audit” label! I go through this process with clients- but now I have a cool name to give it. Lols. You guys rock!
Loving the frequent uploads!
Eric Trexler will be an elite athlete in 3 different sports once he runs his marathon. Absolute beast. Maybe the greatest athlete of all time.
Awesome 👏 I love the cardio explanation of modality.

Tell us how you incorporate your training for a marathon
As Eric is the true and only host, he can't really steal the session. He is just a little bit less generous towards his temporary guest.
1:03:10 Eric absolutly nailed it, stole the show like the
enlightened chad he is
This is my logic.
Do you like Gundams/mechanized frames/Power Rangers?
Then... maybe cut the equipped lifters some slack?

It's just a mechanism by which to do sport, not obviously better or worse than like, stick and ball or the handegg.
If a permanent host can steal his own show from his temporary invited guest, does that not beg the question of whose show it was to begin with?
