Good tutorial, I'm trading a 2006 Maxima with a 6 speed manual for a 944 with a bad throw out bearing so I'll replace the fork and TO bearings. Looks easy but its a lot of work to get there!

Be prepared to change out a lot more than you bargained for. There are always more issues than initially meets the eye. The forks are NLA, so you might have to find a used one.... but if the one in there is good, just change out the needle bearings, and probably the pivot shaft. Fork only moves about 30 degrees or so, and the needles wear groves in the shaft.
Good luck with the project, it's a very well built car. It "feels" great to drive and tinker with it.

@@mechanicstuff7474 Thanks for that, the seller put 66k miles after buying so I'll replace the clutch too. Too much work not to look at everything including needle bearings. I'm trading Sunday unless he backs out. The paint is a 7 out of a 10 and the interior is a 9 because its a 3rd owner car and it was garaged most of its life. Mileage is 182k assuming the odometer rolled over only once.
