Guys please u need to understand this. Not everything can be shown in the episode. They have to compliment dishes even if it was not tasty for the finale. However some dishes might be duplicate or copied from a popular chef. And the judges found out about and made their decision based on whom they think come up with a new idea. They cant just say you copoed Gordon Ramseys recipes to the camera

@@merrymanson with the title he got from this show, there's no seeing that he will make good money from cooking. Even in itself, 1st season winner eric chong had an engineering degree and still saw this show as an opportunity to do something he truly loves more.

Rewatching this, it's pretty crazy to see that the first 4 winners of Masterchef Canada were cooks that basically everyone (at least on TH-cam lmao) wanted to win. Eric as the underdog/ someone becoming his own person, David cooking for his family (and winning like every mystery box), Mary being a solid cook and super kind throughout (and for looking like Velma and Taylor Swift), and Trevor who was consistently at the top.

I love Thea, always have. But in the bits and clips I’ve seen, I feel Trevor is for the winner, from the very beginning he’s always had a vision. Not that Thea hasn’t. But Trevor was a plumber, that knew how to cook really well. The passion oosed out of him.
