🌮 Here is the recipe for the beer battered cod:
4-5 cod filets (cut into long pieces)
1 1/2 cups of flower
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 18 oz can of beer ( I used Coors Light)
( I seasoned with Lawry's, but you could also use Old Bay)
40 oz Canola Oil
pour the oil in a cast iron skillet or pan and bring to a medium heat. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, add beer and whisk slowly. Submerge the code in batches. Test the oil is a drop of the batter, if it starts to sizzle around the edges, it's ready! Add the beer battered cod into the oil in batched, turning over when they are golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain the oil, and enjoy!

I kind of felt that way on Easter! My house looked great, but some of the food was just ok.
Lauren you’re a good Momma ! Remember, grief is complicated. My mom has been gone for 21 yrs. Sometimes a song or a feeling will touch your soul . It’s okay to stop and embrace those feelings. Grief is like a scap, sometimes it gets ripped off and we need to embrace the pain.

Oh yum! That dinner looked so good and I bet it tasted great. Loved all the blue and white and lavender Balsam Hill flowers. The patio was so inviting when you were done. I wonder if you could just spray paint the little coffee table where the kids dripped their paint? And those naughty chickens clucking at you to leave their eggs the “cluck” alone🤣🤣🤣

Lauren Dollar Tree has a cleaner you can use to remove the paint your kids got on your table. AWESOME it works. I used it when we remodeled at work to remove paint splatter from our floor. Love your decor ideas.

The patio is absolutely gorgeous. It is hard to try and duplicate the look as Balsam Hill... although stunning... is beyond my retirees budget... even on sale. The tacos look amazing!!! I am a taco fanatic... shrimp, fish, carnitas, chicken , steak . Every time I go out someone says ... are you getting tacos again! haha Crispy fish tacos are my absolute favorite!!! I also found a great dressing in my produce cold section ... its a Cilantro cotiha green creamy dressing that I drizzle on my homemade tacos. Yummmmm

Love your style. The hydrangeas and lavender are such a beautiful combination I might do that for our back deck. I live in snow country and even though it's officially spring it's too cold for less hardy plants still so this year from your past inspiration I did fuchsia (bright deep pink) colored faux geraniums to decorate my front porch. I have black wrought iron furniture and cushions and black & white buffalo accent pillows. It really pops. Always look forward to your content. Keep up the great work!
