Been and done the money and cave trip on a previous visit so this one was more of a meander around the town. Think it’s expensive for the ships to dock there now so we were only in port until around 1pm. Previous ports were night time generally around 9pm.
I never get rid of my older versions if the newer ones have a different cover art or doesn’t include the bluray , I’m just gonna regret it later and re-purchase it so I’ll just keep it
Hi Phill ,, great video . Really enjoy the content. My Tarantino and Rodriguez collection blend together with the grindhouse, four rooms, dusk till dawn connection. No bookends needed really . Enjoy the mexico trilogy.
@@vaha427 I was in a quandary for those movies to be honest. Grindhouse at four rooms currently sit with Tarantino for me. Dusk til dawn with Rodriguez. Although I’ve not got the sequels for dusk till Dawn… I have however just ordered the tv show. Couldn’t resist. Glad you’re enjoying the content ✌🏼

I remember spending a year in the Netherlands and during being there it was the changeover between VHS and the start of DVD and i had the chance of moving between Belgium and Rotterdam. Freerecordshop was massive as well as every other kind of music store sold some manner of film. Lets just say i was scared of coming home with my bounty back then as a lot was still banned in horror back then.

I remember importing a few myself, I had that fear of ‘what if they find my packages’ 😂 It’s almost too easy to find things without too much worry. Ordering films to be waiting for you is a good idea, that one I haven’t explored, although when I went to American last time (Florida) I ordered films to be delivered to the nearest Wall-mart to be collected (I had to use the hotel address as a base 😆) it worked though, I did it the day before the flight and they were there a few days later 👍 I don’t know why but I thought there was a CEX in Gibraltar 🧐 sorry to hear there were no movies to be found ☹️ still that mini guitar was a great addition to your Robert Rodriguez collection, I picked up a movie of his yesterday (Hypnotic) nice one mate, take care👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost am I right in thinking Hypnotic is only DVD in the UK ? I had a Quick Look and could only find a DVD. I couldn’t find a CEX but I left more places that needed exploring as we only had a limited time in the port. Shame there were no movies there but there are plenty of opportunities back in the UK. @@lippmb78 I got the time with my family and a break from work… other than that, nothing in the way of physical media. Zero movies to be found anywhere that we wandered. Disappointing
That’s too bad,well at least you got take in all of the scenery, but as for me I like take in all the sights and sounds and I’ll buy a few things here and there, physical media is the least of my concerns (since foreign DVDS and blu-rays don’t play Region 1 media players anyway in the USA).
@@blujustin4175 y’know. I’m not sure why but seeking out movie locations never really crossed my mind. I have done the ordering things to come home to before. To be honest, it’s one of the things that sparked me off on limiting down what I was buying and culling some of my collection. Coming back to a massive amount of stuff. At a point it just seemed slightly ridiculous. Especially when after a good amount of time, some of the things hadn’t even been watched.
Shame there wasn't any bargains to be had but the guitar definitely suits. I managed to get John wick 1-4 4k for £30 in hmv might be worth a look if you've not got them. Also I've preordered trick r treat and exorcist 3 4k in hmv 👍

Thinking of the weta mini epic for Alita at the other bookend. Not a bad price on the John wick. I’m currently considering the crow 4k which I think is already in the 2 for £30. Point break has been one tempting me too. Trick r Treat 4k is one I’ve had my eye on but resisted so far. I got the scream factory blu ray release… but 4k would be very nice. Oh Nightmare on Elm street also tempting me but don’t think it’ll be in-store when I visit. Dont think it’s out until October (14th I think)
@@PhillwithadoubleL yeah nightmare on elm street and crow is a must imo. Without the risk of sounding elitist but since I've moved more to the 4k side of things I don't have the heart to buy blu ray anymore as the quality is fantastic (on most releases anyway) it's notocoble which before hand I was dubious. Does you have this issue? Or does is affect your spending habits in anyway?
@@HALLOWEENSLASHER not so much at the moment. My set up just isn’t strong enough as it is at the moment. I have been that way in the past between Blu Ray and DVD but recently I’ve started kinda giving DVD a break for some movies. When the Blu Ray is out of print and the dvd is there super cheap… I’ve been just accepting the dvd for what it is… just to see the movie. But… if it’s a movie I love then I will look at getting the best physical disc possible.

I often buy movies from overseas on the internet, but I only buy movies that are not available in the UK. As for recommendations, I find that difficult as your average person only watches mainstream movies, but my picks of recent releases available in the UK would be, Super Space Theatre box set (Space 1999 movies), Red Sun, Soldier Blue, Bruiser, Laurel and Hardy The Silent Years, Furiosa, Clockwork Mice, The First Omen, Island of Terror, Santa Sangre, Sting, Who Saw Her Die, Viva La Muerte and The Primevils (USA import region free, available from Amazon UK).
