- In short, this video's purpose is to prove that the Wii is a perfectly capable console that has many great games. If you get one but don't seem to like it, give it another try.

I purchased the Wii 3 times, and 3 times I got rid of it (mainly because I already owned most of the big classics) , though I know the library has gotten much better since my last Wii. Next time around I'll hold on to my Wii though because I know it's very much worth owning. The amount of classic gems in it's virtual library alone more than deserves it's purchase. Your are not a complete well rounded gamer until you own and experience the classics. Very good vid.

I like the Nintendo Wii, but we still need to see F-Zero, Star Fox, Wave Race, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and another Fire Emblem.
@morriscorpio You mean the Wavebird? Yeah, that's Nintendo's official wireless controller, it has no rumble but I still love it. They are kind of hard to find now so your best bet might be something like eBay.
Yeah, I really hope a new Star Fox gets announced soon that's in the vain of Star Fox 64 and/or Assault. That kind of arcade-like gameplay is the best part of Star Fox IMO.
@mopbrothers Well, technically MM9 & MM10 are also on PS3 and 360, but the Wii does have the best controller out of the three for old school-style Mega Man games.
I'm disappointed about no Wii Star Fox too. Although I have to say Star Fox Assault is a recent SF that I liked. And about the team being gone, I heard that it was essentially the old team (or maybe the SNES team) that worked on the DS SF game and that they have no desire to make a new one for Wii.
the reason Wii is awesome is cuz its exirsise and fun at the same time i use Wii to help me with foot ball it keeps me in shape
Yeah, a few months after I made this video, I finally bought a 360. It's a good system but if you have a decent gaming PC (like me), you can usually get the same games for PC for less. I really got it more for being able to play great next-gen games with friends than anything else.
Wii does have impressive graphics. Look at Skyward Sword, Mario Galaxy, and Rayman Origins (the latter is on other systems, but it still looks good on Wii).
(although Donkey Kong Jungle Beat came close)
I'm pretty sure the Wii is the #1 seller because it's the cheapest and it has motion controls. It has nothing to do with hating violent games, all mainstream consoles have at least some of them. The PS3's #1 seller factor is most likely the blu-ray player and since people don't feel much presser to buy blu-ray, the PS3 is not selling as much as the Wii. The only one left is the 360 which has the selling points of its online most likely (even though it costs extra)
Megaman 9 and 10 alone make the Wii worthwhile.

@TheSmegOps The only problem is Nintendo tends to update the Wii in an attempt to stop modding. Besides, I'm pretty sure that's not legal to be playing emulations that you did not pay for. There's a reason the Virtual Console exists and it's because it provides people with a legal option to play games from the past from systems they may not have. I'm alright with modding to play legally purchased content, etc. like foreign games on an American Wii, but otherwise, not really.

All the games I showed are on the 360, PC, and PS3? I have all the other systems, and at the very least you have to admit that you'd have no way to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, or any other Nintendo made games without a Wii.

Wii Is great! but everyone seems to diss it just becuase you can't shoot the crud out of monsters. or becuase it dosn't have the best graphics (not saying the graphics are bad though
some wii games have amazing graphics) And the Wii has alot of good games I reccomend
Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl/Melee/Classic. Those are just a couple of awesome games on the Wii. The Wii is a good system You just have to have the right games.
The others I agree with, but I'd rather have Intelligent Systems work on a new Paper Mario RPG than a Fire Emblem game. I still feel cheated about the last Paper Mario being a totally different kind of game.
I own a Nintendo Wii as well as an Xbox 360..and even tho im a Nintendo fan at heart, i still believe the 360 is the better system..
I don't own, only play, and love nintendo for nonviolent games, I love it because I have a console that has games way beyond gore. Granted all consoles have games like what I'm about to mention, but Nintendo games are more about story, morals, messages, and the experience. I don't need what Gears of War, Halo, God of War, and others offer via violence. I just need real reason to play the game and be in the world. Not a chainsaw gun to cut someone in half, and have nothing more to it.

Well, in my point of view, since the Wii can play all Gamecube games, it seems to make the Wii better than the Gamecube. If you took away the Gamecube compatibility, then the Gamecube may come out on top then.

I'm confident you are in the minority about Starfox Adventures and the walking style Starfox being better than Starfox 64 and the flight style Starfox. I'd also much rather see new Paper Marios than new Mario RPGs but I know that opinion is more split. On the other hand, I'm sure people would love a new (real!) Donkey Kong game for Wii. That Donkey Kong Barrel Blast thing was a joke. There hasn't been any real DK IMO since Donkey Kong 64.

No, the Wii Wheel is incompatible with all Gamecube games. Since the Wii Wheel is just the Wii Remote inside a shell, and the Wiimote doesn't work with Gamecube games, it does not work.

You aren't a fan of using the Gamecube controllers? You'd be in quite the minority since almost every gamer I've talked to about controllers has had only good to say about those (except the d-pad). And you dislike the Classic Controller as well? It's extremely similar to the SNES controller, which is considered a classic, practical design.

What are you talking about? First of all, Twilight Princess isn't an exclusive, its also on gamecube. Second, have you even played Rayman Origins?!
I cant believe they havnt come out with a new StarFox game. Like a sequel to StarFox64 (the others sucked). I guess its cuz the original N64 team is longgone and nintendo doesnt know how to make a good new one.

The Wii ROCKS compared to the PS3, Why? Because instead of other consoles The Wii actually makes you stand up and do some excercise.

Dude, Wii has some amazing games, but most of them are buried in the crapton of shitty 3rd party wiifit type games and poor motion control games. The PS3 is my least favorite of the three modern consoles, though it does have free wifi play, soooo, it's ok. Nintendo is my favorite out of Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. Sony steals ideas (ie= Move) and has few great games coming out. Microsoft makes you pay for online play... also, it stole from wii too, but at least (next)

Microsoft was more creative with stealing Wii's shit by taking out the controller, but Kinect is falling prey to the same shit Wii did, crappy fitness games. Nintendo has a crapload of stupid 3rd party games but Nintendo is still MAGICAL with their releases...
