It's not incredibly recent but in Cyberpunk 2077 there was a bug during the Maelstrom warehouse mission where at the end when you're trying to escape Jackie phases through the door and then you can't interact with the door at all. I note this because I spent a solid 30 hours or so doing everything in the opening area of the game to have this completely lock my game and force me to restart.

You can make a whole video of sims glitches. The neighborhood action plans like foodies unite made sims come over and "attempt" to bake a cake. If you had several sims over, your house would be littered with unfinished cakes... rough housing encouraged and rock your body are also annoying cause they make sims fight and do push ups ALL THE TIME. #4 Even more annoying, there are several missions where waves of enemies spawn outside the mission area and stay there. Can't go to them because you fail the mission for leaving, can't progress the mission because they don't ever come to you. About 1/2 the time, the only way I could fix this would be by REINSTALLING THE ENTIRE GAME
The space Applebees wasn’t the only place where this happened, for some reason High on Life just loved to soft lock and make it to where you can’t get in/out of places. I had an occurrence where it removed my arm so I couldn’t shoot or defend myself and was locked out of the portal.
High on Life was one of the glitchiest games I can remember playing. Luckily none of them stopped be from finishing the game. Missed out on some achievements, though.

Even worse is it auto saves opening the door so it will carry over even after closing the game and opening it back up. As someone who found most of the bugs on release in Pokemon hilarious more than annoying (the worst is memory leak but there’s generous autosaves and I always took that as a sign to stop and take a break), I only play during major events like new pokemon raids until I know this save delete bug is fixed. @@anon_y_mousse Unless you have a hacked switch and use a save manager there isn't a way to back up your save sadly nintendo doesn't support cloud saves for it (probably to stop ppl cloning pokémon/items) which sucks. @@alexsutton7440 I guess I'll have to add that to my list of reasons not to do console gaming. I'd never really given save files much thought in the past, but then every game I play allows me to save at anytime and the saves are completely transparent, as in I can copy them wherever whenever and the location they're in is easy to see.
I don't play a lot of games, and thus almost never experience bugs. The one time I have, though, wasn't anything too serious, thankfully. In Final Fantasy 7 Remake, after the fight with Jenova Dreamweaver, Cloud runs out of the Shinra building to hunt down Sephiroth. He first chases him up the side of the building, all for Sephiroth and/or a Sephiroth clone to throw themselves over the edge. Cloud quickly slides down a ladder to try to follow, but they're gone. When he comes back down, a helicopter carrying Rufus Shinra is supposed to appear, kicking off the fight with him. Well, my first time playing, nothing happened after Cloud returned. All of my crew was waiting on the helicopter pad, but no one showed up (I didn't know what was supposed to happen, but all of my people were just standing around like a bunch of lost ducks 😅). I ran around for a bit trying to make something happen, before realizing what I was experiencing. As a casual gamer, it was almost fun to join such ranks as experiencing a bug, lol. But I know that you ALWAYS save after a boss. I usually save two or more times as I save right after a fight, shift materia around between characters, then save again. This saved me from having to redo the Jenova fight, which was quite the slog (there is literally a part where you have to play Whack-a-Mole with her tentacles, lol). My second time doing the cutscene, the helicopter properly appeared. I experienced no bugs before or after that.
Had a bug in my WWE 2K22 that would tell me I’m missing some Undertaker DLC and the only solution was to download it or delete all save data even tho I had it downloaded..
The new witcher 3 update apparently had a glitch which erased your save files except for the autosaves (thank god!). For a second i thought i was going to have to play it all over again for the dlc
This one killed me! Luckily it was fixed with their latest patch and it restored my old saves, but it was like two months of anxiety thinking the save I’ve been working on for over a year (I play leisurely and was trying to clear every location on every map) was just gone 🙃
Yeah, I remember The Sims 4 glitch, but I managed to fix it before EA finally fixed it by disabling autonomous mean interactions with MCCC. Honestly, that mod is a godsend as it has fixed multiple bugs that I’ve had in my game (like my glitched spellcaster/vampire hybrid that I absolutely didn’t want anything to do with her vampire side - all her older siblings were vampires and teen vampires are a total nightmare to take care of - and I cured her of her vampirism with MCCC), and I can’t imagine playing the game without it.
"they fixed this problem by adding the option for additional saves" this is not fixing the bug, this is giving players the opportunity to save often enough so you can try to avoid the bug multiple times
Super tiny thing that couple really be a cool add on to the format of the video, could you specify which platforms had the bug and if possible what time periods the bug existed so the videos can be watched at later dates and look up details. Plus helps form opinions on which platforms have a bigger track record of bug etc
I didn't run into any bugs while playing Dead space Remake. It played really smoothly except for a micro lag here and there, but it was so rare it didn't affect anything.
...I *just* bought The Good Life. I'm actually *enjoying it.* And now I see it's *no.1* on a game breaking bug top ten list. ...Guess I'll just enjoy it while I can.
The quality of most AAA and even some AA gaming is just going down the shitter. And that is BEFORE any sickening microtransactions, forced online for single player, and crap like that.
PSO2:NA had a fun bug back when it released for PC where the game would randomly become unrecognizeable to the system and you would have to redownload. That's not the worst of it. The old data never got deleted or overwritten, it just stayed in an invisible folder with your Microsoft Store apps, so you had like 90Gb that you not only had to redownload, but you also had to find a way to delete from your system or else just not be able to use. Took me 7 days to redownload on my connection never turning the computer off. It was a mess.
I go around deliberately starting fights with vampires in sims in order to fist fight them. I’ll also do it to people strange or coworkers I dislike. I never would have noticed people being randomly mean more often. That’s hilarious people actually complained.
RDR2s years old Steam/Rockstar Launcher loop bug that they still haven’t fix. You try to open the game but Steam just open Rockstar launcher and Rockstar launcher just opens Steam or Steams says RDR2 is already running. Paid $60 for this game and played just enough to not get a refund but have never been able to play again.
As far as I can tell, the Sims 4 glitch didn't really mess with my game & if it did it wasn't really noticeable! One of the advantages of having the High School Years social media app is you can use it to help undo any damage, at least when it comes to teen, young adult, adult, & elder Sims! I'm still glad they managed to fix it as it creates issues that can derail whatever it is your trying to accomplish, especially when it comes to relationships between Sims!
Even though now it's a bit older Rage 2 should be on one of these lists. There are some game breaking glitches I have heard about in reviews. Kinda stinks since the first rage was pretty fun to me (a year after it came out and all the patches made it pretty good, except the last level). It seemed like Rage was rushed near the end so they could play with the Doom games, so when Rage 2 was announced I was a bit excited and looking forward to the same if not better only to be let down from what I saw. I have contemplated buying it a few times but seeing reviews even recent ones (at least months ago) mentioning some of the game breaking glitches/bugs which still apparently haven't been fixed have put me off from getting it still.
Played through Rage 2 twice and I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs. I'd find a floating object once in a blue moon, or get some micro lag when moving from one area to another for a second but nothing beyond that. I know the devs patched out and fixed some issues when it first launched, but every game goes thru that process during the first few months.
I experienced this one, played rage 2 and loved it up to the point where I had completed the 3 "faction" questlines and was supposed to receive a final questline, but it crashed and when I loaded the autosave I had no quests making it impossible to finish the game. Went back as far as my saves would go but as soon as I got to that point it would just crash again. To this day I still have not finished the game as after a couple of days trying and failing to fix it, i gave up and deleted it.
Rage 2 gave me rage because the final mission wouldn't load and that's the bug. If you drive the tank vehicle BEFORE the final mission you can prevent the final mission from appearing. What's worse is I did ALL the side missions and then was ready to finish the game and... Nothing. I tried everything, even re-installing it and the final mission wouldn't appear.
When I first played Rage 2 I had a bug that caused the whole world to be empty. Like there were these enemy outposts on the map, but when going to them there was absolutely nobody to be found. No enemies anywhere. I was confused as hell but thought that theres maybe some quest or other stuff you have to do first. But nope. Saving/loading also did not help. However, making a new game did help, and since I couldnt do anything there was no progress made anyway, so it wasnt too big of a deal. Pretty weird and confusing nonetheless.
Never got the stand by bug but I did have a weird input bug. You’re able to pause while in menus and sometimes when I exit the inputs just won’t register
I had a glitch in Scorn where I was somehow attacked while solving a REALLY hard puzzle and the game auto-saved. Whenever the game reloaded, my character just died. I had to restart the entire level.
I remember I pretty bad one for WWF No Mercy on the N64 where you could never reliably save your game, sometimes it would be there when you went back but more often it wouldn’t and you’d have to just start all over
Pokemon really said "ok so we're gonna take away the legitimately fun and useful infinite glide speed glitch and instead make it so you all live in constant fear of losing all your progress :)"
Pokemon scarlet and violet's save corrupting bug potentially has a recovery method. Starting a new game in a different profile and getting to where you can save may make the other save accessible.
Division 2 drives me crazy because when it first came out for me it never crashed. Their updates seem to have destabilized the game completely and it is true to what reviewers say it feels completely random. Ive theorized that the issue is on their end servers wise. I mean if they messed up the update system theyve probably screwed up their servers too. Because there are days where you can play for hours without issues with friends and nobody has issues. Then other days where you will be lucky if you can get to the options screen before the game freezes. And if it crashes once, it will crash again if you try again. That is the only reliable fact for that game. If it crashes once for you, dont bother that day. Just exit and dont come back to try again till the next day.
UbiSoft never ceases to amaze. Managing to turn a "localization issue" into breaking their entire build system for a major game. They should have known better than to layoff Goldberg.
For the Pokemon Scarlett and Violet save glitch, I wonder how many people it's happened to were using a modified Switch. I know there are more than a few Mods for Scarlett and Violet out there
In the dead space remake i encountered a bug where a cutscene didn’t load in properly… the other characters didn’t load in for the cutscene. So it isaac was standing there acting out his side of the cutscene to no one.
For Hogwarts Legacy, how about the game breaking glitch that will literally deleted your save file, and all your progress for no reason? Happened to me twice 😢
I experienced the Hogwarts bug and literally flew out of it on my broom. Fell through the map, called my broom once I realized what going on and I carried on playing like nothing happened.
Yea in high on life, there's a part literally during the final battle where you have to go in and out of these huge pipes. Problem is once you go inside they close behind you. I didn't know this and I kinda door peaked and ran back and turned around and the pipe was permanently closed about 5 minutes from the end of the game and I lost ALL my progress because it autosaved the second the door closed. I was FURIOUS lol
One game breaking bug I've experienced recently is one that still isn't fixed in Lego star wars complete saga. There's several parts in certain quests where you go to another planet and get locked in a story sequence with specific characters in between missions can't change. No manual saves in the game just autos and once you finish the story missions you can't force the bug through. It's like stuck in Lego purgatory. Was like 77% done it sucks
COD Modern Warfare 2 (the 3rd release of that name…) suddenly deleted my entire game progress around 3/4 of the way through. I traded to COD Cold War, with the new 10$ visual grade. It crashed again and again so I looked up the problem and there was an easy solution! Turn off all the settings that I had just paid 10 extra bucks for! Way to go, COD!
A few years back there was a remake of an old RPG called Realms of Arkania: Star Trail. In the second story quest you go to a town and are meant to find a spy but end up being hunted and have to sneak out of town. You go to a pub (I think) and have to split your team and only some of them are meant to leave the town but there is a bug that prevents you doing this and makes it impossible to continue the quest meaning the game cannot progress at all. This was on the modern Xboxs and looking at the internet posts absolutely nobody has found a work around and the developers have never patched it. Meaning if you buy this game you basically cannot play most of it.
I hope there be a part 2 of these glitch videos because there is one bug that is in Far Cry 6 where you can't load your saves or in some cases can't play the game at all... I think the reason being is the new DLC Ubisoft put out ...
The worst game breaking bug i have experienced in the last few years was in Rage 2. Basically at the end of the game, once you complete all of the preparations for the last mission, if you dont start the last mission right away and quit the game, once you come back the last mission has a chance to just not appear any more. And if you are unluckly like me where you played a bit before realizing the last mission is missing (filling up all of the auto saves and not having manual saves) thats it. Only way to get to play the last mission is to replay the entire game.
Not sure how common it is but playing Mass Effect 1 in Legacy edition. The last mission driving the Mako through the Prothean tunnels there’s an energy barrier where you’re meant to exit the Mako and take a corridor to the right. If you instead attempt to drive through the barrier, the Mako is flipped and is in a continuous fall through empty space. The only way to end it is to reload a saved game.
Not sure where you got your info from but the Pokemon save file issue can be fixed by creating a new account, logging into that account then saving the game once available. After this jump back on to your original account and your save file will be back. This was announced by Nintendo a couple weeks ago.
Recent bugs I can remember that got me was Malenia healing herself without hitting you. Me and a friend did it in co-op but that was such an extra challenge lol
Hi Gameranx will you guys be going to Comic-Con New York or Rhode Island. Love the amazing content always looking for more videos to watch. Keep up the good work.
I started playing cyberpunk 2077 recently. Everybody said it's buggy as hell and it's kinda ok after v1.6. Well... 8 hrs into the game and it crashed like 15 times for no reason. Inventory, crafting and other menus causing significant fps drop even when I was playing at medium settings on RTX 3060 and mostly lead to the game crashing. Had to turn off ambient occlusion cuz it completely eliminates all lighting and reflections in game. Vehicles are possessed by ghosts. I really wanted to love this game... the world is incredibly interesting and absolutely gorgeous. Although the launch was a failure, I genuinely thought that if they fixed the game, it could become one of the best games ever made in recent times... But it's been almost two years now and it is still a big mess. It's a shame but I don't think I can "play" this game anymore.
Dead Space Remake is fantastic but yes I've experienced quite a few annoying bugs, my game will freeze from time to time needing a restart sometimes, & one where if you load the game up it'll literally get stuck on Isaac's shoulder and the camera is waay to close to do anything promoting a restart... Still a great game but wow lol
RDO has a devastating glitch where you lose the ability to customize your hunting knife and a player was forced to restart his RDO playthrough after Rockstar support screwed up So he decided to never play RDO again
For high on life I had a glitch where after that space Applebee’s scene I never got the rest of the guns back. Not game breaking but I had to play the rest of the game with Kenny.
Not sure if this has been fixed, but the Soul Nomad port on the Switch had a glitch where after a single battle, even if your rooms were still equipped with decors, none of the effects would be working. This usually only happens when you run inspections, as otherwise decors are used up. But it was infuriating to deal with. And I'm not sure how it impacts permanent decors.
Ubisoft doesn't build games for Steam, they build the games to run from the Uplay Launcher. Adding any other launcher on top of that can break their games. It's been that way for more than a decade. The missing Artifact bug was fixed in the Metroid Prime Trilogy released on the Wii, as well. Strange that they remastered the GC version rather than the Wii version of the game that had already been partially remastered.
The SaintsRow22 coop on PC has a plethora of bugs, like literally a whole page of bulletpoints of getting softlocked. Buggiest game since cyberpunk on day one ps4...
Hogwarts Legacy completely broke on me, I went behind a waterfall and was faced with just a pale blue screen and a silhouette of the character. Couldn't pause it to load an old save, literally couldn't do anything but delete the game and reinstall it. Thankfully it only happened the once and the game was otherwise very good.
So I got the falling glitch in Hogwarts Legacy, I didn't realise it was a normal glitch, I was messing around with the speed of the game and went through a warp (to a dungeon) thought that triggered it happening, but eventually I did land at the bottom left side of the map, which I guessed they store places you warp to. I traveled through clouds and then eventually landed on what looked like a glass like texture and I could see water and stuff underneath, it was actually really cool.
Honestly, the Pokemon bug being rare makes it worse because you keep playing thinking "oh it probably won't happen to me" so when it does happen it destroys that much more of your hard work.
Surprising XCOM 2 War of the Chosen on PS4 wasn't mentioned. Original game was ported to PS4. When I first played it it had some game crashing bugs (which also deleted most of the time your save on the mode where you only had one save), but I thought it would get updated over time. One year later, I retried, still the same bugs. Turns out, the company that ported the game just did the port and the bugs were just left as is... Only way to complete the game on Ironman mode was to save the game, quit, copy the save file to PS backup and restart the game to be sure I had a backup. "Base" game without WOTC campaign actually did work without bugs, but the base game got stale for me fast. WOTC DLC was really interesting but unplayable with the bugs... So you end up uninstalling
15 years ago we were told bugs such as these would be fixed and patched by day one. The main reason we put up with day one patches that were and are bigger than the game we just paid for. But they are still here. And apparently worse!
In borderlands the handsome collection on ps4, I’ve had crashes that corrupt my save happened to two of my lvl 72 characters and my friends lvl 42 character. It’s hundreds of hours gone down the drain. It happens when triggering cutscenes and still has not been fixed to this day, years later. It’s a real bummer as my friend put over 60 hours into his character and it just gets corrupt from a cutscene
One of my most infuriating bugs ever was in Greedfall. I got permanently blocked inside a house by not just the npcs that "owned" the house but my party as well. Literally no way for me to get out since there was body collision and no AI to make npcs move out of your way. They probably patched the issue but who knows.. I saved inside the house after handing in a quest and my only option was to start over. Pissed me off. Was like 3 hours into the game.

"At least you're not trapped in the everything bagel"
i love thats a thing now.
"they fixed this problem by adding the option for additional saves"
this is not fixing the bug, this is giving players the opportunity to save often enough so you can try to avoid the bug multiple times
About The Good Life, apparently it is rated highly on Steam, with 80% positive. And as of last week, they are still patching the game.
As someone who just bought this game and is enjoying it a great deal, this is reassuring! Thank you!
I go around deliberately starting fights with vampires in sims in order to fist fight them. I’ll also do it to people strange or coworkers I dislike. I never would have noticed people being randomly mean more often. That’s hilarious people actually complained.
The only glitch I enjoy is when Gameranx uploads twice in one day.
I like how I was watching previous glitch videos from a year or 2 ago straight to the latest one right now
Haha perfect
3:32 I laughed way too hard when the band aid pulled up🤣🤣
Even though now it's a bit older Rage 2 should be on one of these lists.
I remember I pretty bad one for WWF No Mercy on the N64 where you could never reliably save your game, sometimes it would be there when you went back but more often it wouldn’t and you’d have to just start all over
Always nice to see a gameranx upload right after work!
🤝
Your videos always save my day 😊
"Trapped in the everything bagel" got me lmao
UbiSoft never ceases to amaze. Managing to turn a "localization issue" into breaking their entire build system for a major game. They should have known better than to layoff Goldberg.
My daily dose right here, love it
🤝
"A collection of bugs calling itself a game"...damn😂😂
For the Pokemon Scarlett and Violet save glitch, I wonder how many people it's happened to were using a modified Switch. I know there are more than a few Mods for Scarlett and Violet out there
do you know anything about the muller-powell ?
I just want to give a shout out to Falcon for being the best host at Gameranx :) Stay Awesome!
What glitch?
Happened to one of my coworkers too apparently.
Really? Damn. I have had a few crashes but that's it.
I’ve lost my saves and it even deletes steam api making it so you need to redownload it
Same here on epic games
These aren’t all game breaking bugs they’re just bugs if you can just close and reopen the game or reload a save it’s not “game breaking”
Yakuza 0 Bug is the best thing! Switching your items into trash is the best. 🤣
Yay more glitch videos (It's been a while!)
The Division 2 sad but biggest flopp after a successful The Division 1.
Way to go, COD!
best gaming news channel ever keep it up😀
you can use your broom even if you fall through the floor. but losing all your saves is another bug that ACTUALLY breaks your game.
"And number 7 is the Metroid Prime Remaster. They even remastered the glitches!"
I laughed hard at this.😂
I hope there be a part 2 of these glitch videos because there is one bug that is in Far Cry 6 where you can't load your saves or in some cases can't play the game at all...
I think the reason being is the new DLC Ubisoft put out ...
I can’t get past the intro being cut short by .8 of a second 💀
I've had a very busy day and just in time, this video pops up. Thanks.
👌
Should do a top 10 worst designed bosses/mini bosses in recent games. First one that comes to mind is the three berserker fight from GOW Ragnarok.
Thanks for your suggestion
“They even remastered the glitches.” LMFAO
IM SO FUCKIN TICKLED BY THIS AHAHAHA
Dead Space Remake is fantastic but yes I've experienced quite a few annoying bugs, my game will freeze from time to time needing a restart sometimes, & one where if you load the game up it'll literally get stuck on Isaac's shoulder and the camera is waay to close to do anything promoting a restart... Still a great game but wow lol
for some reason i have been cackling for 10 minutes over Falcon saying "trapped in the everything bagel"
RDO has a devastating glitch where you lose the ability to customize your hunting knife and a player was forced to restart his RDO playthrough after Rockstar support screwed up
So he decided to never play RDO again
Having an occult heavy Sims 4 save turn into a magic-fueled free for all sounds pretty dope, ngl.
Love the "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" Ref.
You're a Hero Falcon. 👍♥
Ayyyyyy! The Everything Bagel! Good on ya, Sir Falcon
If recent games were more polished and less rushed...
Thought they where moving ai without talking or being real “ SWEAR “
