Great video Brian, I also run the RBG 712 I had I a little over 2 years and it is a game changer! In my shop I have a blade sharper station and right behind the grinder I bought a piece of aluminum and screwed it to the wall to keep my shop from burning down!
I bought the mulch blade sharpening kit for my RBG712, around $ 150.00 extra. The machine has paid for itself all ready. I ordered it right after you got yours. Thanks for the review
You know you can just take the old paper off and buy coated PSA stick on sanding discs? Save you a fortune and you can replace them as often as you like and you can choose the grit you want.
Hello Brian, Hope your Doing Well, I also have Owned my RBG 712 for 2 Years Now Too & I Love it 👍🏻 It Really does an Amazing Job on Sharpening my Blades for Both of my WRIGHTS (Intensity & ZK) Thanks for Sharing, Take Care and Be Safe Out Their 🇺🇸
Thanks for the video. I too have used the grinder and had problems with the angle after a few sharpening. I find I am more accurate with a flap disk. But they don’t last as long and require you to sharpen more frequently. Never had a true setup like you have. I’m just a DIY Home guy.
I have been watching Johnny Mow with his, I have looked at them for the last year and ordered the 750 from them at the GIE. thank you for show us how to change the wheel.
I have the same blade grinder. I use a regular bench grinder first to take out any back nicks. Helps the grinding wheel to last longer on the blade grinder.
Hey brian what do those run I have used bench grinder for 33 years but I have couple buddies use those type I thought they told me there's were around 4 to 500 dollars
I have to admit, that seemed to work really well. How much is the RGB v's Magnamatic? You should get the Magna balancer though. Its amazing how much blades go out. Juries out on if unbalanced blades cause problems with spindles but I could certainly hear and feel when they weren't balanced. Manu's may have got better but so many blades I bought over the years arent balanced from the factory. Vibrations are an enemy of the body over long periods.
Man you will be amazed how much easier it is with sharpening the walker blades! You will be more likely to sharpen your blades on them long days when you don’t really wanna do it after a long days work as this grinder saves you a lot of time with angles and sharpening
@@CranfordYardworks I sharpen them every 3 days regardless. My commercial Neary blade sharpener is awesome but with the cones on Walker blades it's a pain....
The reason the cutting edge was jagged is due to prior nicks and chips in the blade. The only way to get the cutting edge straight is to grind back to biggest chip or dent. Most people compromise between grinding a way a lot of the blade, or just have some of the cutting edge jagged. In the past I’ve taken a file to areas that were not fully “sharp” after grinding. This way I get a little more life out of the blades. It only takes a few good size rocks to dent the blade edge enough to require a lot of grinding to get it out.

Man I have the RBG 712 and I absolutely love it! Great tool to have if you like to keep a great edge on those blades!

It does a fine job on those blades!...It was really awesome meeting you and your son at the GIE...Thanks for signing our Louisville slugger 😉
No, thank you. One of the highlights of the trip.

Yea, it's about $450 online
Great video. I would love to have one of those.

the rbg is about $450 I think. Good to hear from you Mick, hope your doing well.
Thanks man, doing ok! Cheers
How much does it cost
Can't wait until mine shows up. It's half of what my Neary cost and will do a much better job for Walker blades like we talked about

Your exactly right!
Can you say cat skid steer.
It was really nice meeting you and Tyler at the GIE
What kind of blade is that
Hey Brian, just noticed in the back ground looks like someone turned all your Jayhawk stuff upside down in your garage man.
M.I.Z.
Der worth every penny
You show us how to change the wheel, but don't give us a link, to where you bought it?
They make a attachment for mulch blades
I'll have to check that out.
I seen it at gie
Cost?
Are you or how are you balancing those blades ? Everyone has their own way of balancing ..
Not a single reference to Sling Blade. Karl will be upset.
Haha
Looked like only the angle was good. The cutting edge was still jagged
