- Still a fair bit of work to do on this one. The clouds don't seem to want to go above about 30,000 feet, I need to work on the ending data to make it smoother (an anomaly in my digitization causes a sudden acceleration towards the ground in the last couple seconds, was in a slight rush), and of course the aircraft's tail number is wrong.

I wish these horrific audio recordings were not available on the internet. Too confronting to listen to and shows no respect for the deceased and their loved ones. Hearing people screaming because they know they are going to die is just too horrible.
That would also go with every documentary based on a tragedy…

Yes. I may end up doing this in XP12, due to the more advanced weather system, as I find 11's weather to be inadequate.
How do you make fdr?
The couple of times the plane started turning the other way, I wonder if that's really what happened or if it's an error in the data.
It could be the thunderstorm winds causing a change in direction. A lightning strike could also potentially have caused compass errors, but I think those would have been much more instantaneous than these turns.
It's a nice simulation, but how do you create these?
X-Plane has a .FDR playback feature which allows you to plug flight data into a file to be played back in real time. www.x-plane.com/kb/fdr-files-x-plane-11/

Ah, I've just been making backups of the default liveries, and replacing the image files with the new ones. Usually there's one for the fuselage, wings, and horizontal stabilizer.
