As an auto detailer this is essential info. I spend a lot of money on high quality towels. I did not know about the 140 degrees that is great info. I will kick up the heat a little bit. Everything else is spot on from my experience. Thanks
Oh good, I have been washing them correctly. I use All Free and Clear, Vinegar in my spot for fabric softener and warm water then I just dry them hanging on a rack after I put them in the dryer on low heat for about 20 minutes. This just seemed like how they should be washed, not that anyone ever told me.
Thank you so much for the quick and super helpful information! I've been googling the past couple days and your video was the simplest and most helpful.
Hold on. Don't some washing machines heat up the water? A simple google search says yes some can. So I'm wondering if the temp can heat the water above 120 or 140 degrees... Can't seem to find that info.
Awesome video and awesome mic. If I dont have a dryer, then I assume rubbing it on a plastic/glass stick would also give it back its static charge? I would appreciate if anyone has experience with this.
Thanks for the vid. I ruined a bunch of microfiber towels after washing them and putting a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. Whatever it left on the towels would transfer over to my car windows. I have washed them over and over but it won't come off the towels. So that is why I am here looking @ vids to see what liquid detergent I can use on my new microfiber towels. I was thinking of using SalSuds from Dr. Bronners, what do you think?
Sounds like washing by hand would be best, don't want to use a washing machine for a couple of microfibre cloths on their own, would work out way too expensive, so I'll wash them by hand, but thanks for the info about what detergent to use !
I love your clean cut clear videos. thank you. now for my question, I hate the feel of microfiber on my hands. But they work, so... Is there a Microfiber that you would recommend that is better than others and can you use cleaners, etc. with them, or just plain water? thanks.
Isn't your dryer going to have residue from previous uses of dryer sheets? Would it be a good idea to maybe run the dryer empty on hot temperature, maybe put in an old towel to clean that stuff out?
I'm in a pinch. I want to use my microfiber clothes tomorrow but they need to be washed. If I use regular detergent this time but go back to the one you suggest (which is the one I used before but I'm out now) will that work. O does one time washing with regular ruin the clothes. I'm over thinking how to type this out so I hope I;m being clear.
Not sure if you've done this yet but can you do a video about cleaning electronics and screens? I always need to clean my phone and laptop but never sure if I'm doing it the right way or if I'm actually destroying it.
Yes ma'am I have all of those videos already made and ready to go for you: iPad = th-cam.com/video/kDWMs6EEKyo/w-d-xo.html Laptop = th-cam.com/video/flm98oW12DU/w-d-xo.html Tv Screen = th-cam.com/video/IBV6LizqCK8/w-d-xo.html fyi the info from the ipad video is the same for an iphone, Samsung, etc
Most microfiber towels say yo wash in cold water. But it confuses me now if hot water is best to wash dirty cloths and towels? I need more in-depth video answers of this topic.
Already have dozens of microfiber cloths, that apparently I have been washing and drying wrong. Are these ruined or can I just start using this process and they’ll be OK to use and work properly? Thank you for the video.
my mf towels sheds tiny fibers all over when cleaning glass. then it’s so difficult to remove them from the glass. are these towels destroyed? Should i trash them? I’ve washed them over and over and still occurs.
Since detergents have oils in them I just stick them in a bag with isopropyl alcohol. It absorbs oils and cleans them just fine and the alcohol evaporates quickly
Great tips, I never knew this and most of your / the instructions are actually printed on huge labels on each cloth I own. Go figure {:>) Thanks for forcing me to wise up.
I have a question that maybe stupid but is it necessary to clean them before using them? I have a big cleaning job coming up and I want to use fresh brand new microfiber towels should I wash them first? Or will they work just as good straight out of the package
Thank you! I appreciate that you covered the different types of dryer settings in case my dryer didn't have the usual cold/cold or warm/warm settings listed. Mine has air dry
You are welcome! If it’s a hot summer day and the sun is directly shining on them, I would worry about them getting to hot. You would probably be better off hanging them to dry in a laundry room.
My biggest problem with my microfiber cloths is what you mentioned about stuff sticking to them. Now that I know better I was wondering if there's a way I can remove all the debris from the towels I have so I can start anew? Or am I better off just getting new towels. Thanks!
Or use needle nose tweezers to pull out the stuff. You can renew your microfiber products while watching a movie or television program at home while removing the debris.
Thank you for not taking 10 minutes to explain this. I appreciate your video.
Happy to help

shot at the other video 😭

Did your towels get messed up? I learned from Larry of AMMO that even if temperatures don't reach 140, your towels will be negatively impacted.
@@TsunamiDragonEX i mess up my towels Throwing them around long before my dryer does. I didn't see a negative impact from washing in hot water no
I appreciate that you answered all of the important points of washing and drying microfiber clothes in just 3 minutes! This is a keeper vid!!

How to keep them before washing in a solution like vinegar water or dry? It's ok to wash after a week with accumulated microfiber ? Thanks.
Thanks for the vid. I ruined a bunch of microfiber towels after washing them and putting a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. Whatever it left on the towels would transfer over to my car windows. I bought some pricey microfiber towels that had directions to boil them if they got too gunky. The hot water releases the embedded yuckiness.
Sounds like washing by hand would be best, don't want to use a washing machine for a couple of microfibre cloths on their own, would work out way too expensive, so I'll wash them by hand, but thanks for the info about what detergent to use !
I was wondering why my cloths were worse after washing! Thank YOUUUU for this! Took notes for a better microfiber maintenance process.

Thank you I always hang mine but I'll put them on air dry from now on..great information.

What if I only have 1 Microfiver towl? :P
Thank you for this. After watching loads of videos with a lot of talking but nothing actually useful, this was the best video covering it.

I already answered your question. Microfiber melts at 140 F. As long as you stay below that you are good.
Great info thank you .

How about for non americans without those kinds of detergent
Hi, I was wondering if it is okay to use wool dryer balls when drying microfiber towels?
I agree with previous comment: "Thank you for not taking 10 minutes to explain this. I appreciate your video."

Is it bad to dry them on an outdoor clothesline?
You are welcome! If it’s a hot summer day and the sun is directly shining on them, I would worry about them getting to hot. You would probably be better off hanging them to dry in a laundry room.
Very helpful, thank you!

You just have to pick out the debris with you fingers one piece at a time👍
Or use needle nose tweezers to pull out the stuff. You can renew your microfiber products while watching a movie or television program at home while removing the debris.
Great tips!! Thank you

Ha it’s called a hot water tank. What is really is, is a cold water heater. Saying hot water heater is like calling a dryer and dry clothes dryer. 😉🫶🏻
I’ve been correcting people on that face for a long time
