Hello, Have a 2014 A class 1.6 petrol, when replacing the clutch does the whole engine need to come out on this model? been to 2 garage they said engine needs to come out🤷♂️.. please advice
That’s a million. Just bought a b class 1.5 cdi and was hard pressed to find how to do the full service. Obviously the oil and filter are easy enough. Lucky this is the same engine. Saved me a few quid, thank you.
Another great how to video. I see you didn't use my method with the pick, when doing the clip on the fuel filter(always stick it through your finger)🤣. I have watched a TH-cam video of a so called mechanic in the USA , he drops the oil for all of 30 seconds and then replaces the sump plug. Then he removes the oil filter, putting 1/2 a pint of dirty oil back into the sump. Then to add further comedy into the job he refills the oil using individual 1 liter bottles, and we all know how cheap they are. The front tyres on car in the video don't look to great, but it may be a trick of the light. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! Haha no managed to ovoid that this time 🤣🤣. Haha ohh dear 🙈 there’s a few cowboys out there!! 😬 . Yeah you were corrected it had 3 tyres getting ready for replacement! Forgot to mention that on the vid👍
There not just a Renault engine,,there actually a Mercedes engine also,,,Mercedes Renault and Nissan were involved in the RnD and production,,so there just as much a Mercedes engine as a Renault...

Thank , I’ll try find out .. I should have listed one in the video description
Thanks for sharing 🔧👏💥
👍👌
Are you not suppose to bleed the lines to get rid of any air that maybe locked in before striking it up?
Looks like my Renault 1.5dci engine. Didn't know they ended up in a Mercedes, but they are cracking engines though.
👍 yeah fairly decent , reliable motors tbf! ive got to out a cambelt on this shortly
Is there a size for that square drive? For the sump? Thanks for the guide 🙏
Not sure of the exact size as the usually come in a set
@@diydaly i bought the set! Haha :) thanks for the reply bud this guide helped me so much even led on the driveway!
So the service process on this Mercedes is same as servicing the Renault Clio 4 1.5dci when it comes to the engine ?
Pretty much mate ; maybe different locations for the fuel and air on the Renault
Did you changed also the auxiliary water pump?
No only the main one
Thanks!🚗
Welcome!
Thanks
Welcome
Was it the A class that used to have the motor under the body? The early ones were tiny.
yeah the "wedge of cheese" shape ones 😂
@@diydaly yea that’s the one. It was tiny!

Can i use this all on a A200 2014 plate?
Yeah if your got the 1.5 diesel it will be the same
Mines 1.6 petrol where can I find the right parts for mine?
@@CameronCiaravella-qf6qo arr it’s completely different then
👍🏻👍🏻👏👏
Thanks 🙌
0w 30? I’m sure the Renault dealer who service my car last Saturday put 5w 30? Unless Merc requested a different grade
yeah they may well do & 5w30 could easily be an alternative 👍
Ewww Yuk…. Oh my…. That looks like a Renault engine.
It is 🤦🏼♂️
