I believe they are new, if you watch The late Brake Show th-cam.com/video/Y01m9Q9ToCQ/w-d-xo.html I think he mentions it, either in this video or the one about the Mk2. Both of which are absolutely gorgeous, and I would be hard pushed if I had to choose between them, I had both Mk1's and Mk2's when I was younger, and then I preferred the Mk1, but now I love both equally.
