Just when i thought this couldn't possibly be more amazing, they took it to a whole new level by replicating a flaming crash.
The burning plane is a training scenario for the fire brigades, that is also the reason why normal airport operation continues.

The metal cylinders attached under the planes should've been transparent but all in all, this is fantastic, hope to have my own one day :)
Currently there is no transparent material known which would be stable enough.
Not real enough. What I mean is nothing at airports runs like this, everything is a cluster all the time! This airport is the most perfectly run airport in the world. Well done thanks for sharing!

All of those planes were magnificent and the attention to detail was so precise I looked as close to the real thing as it could. Also the time, effort and money gone into thus us astonishing!
This is one of the coolest and cleverest things ive seen on TH-cam!!
Try to see it in real life, you will not be disappointed. But watch out for details, especially the easter eggs, which can be found in the entire model railway display.

With an initial investment of $3 million to now over 150 full time employees and artists constantly maintaining , upgrading, adding-on to this marvel I'd say brothers Frederik and Gerrit Braun were nothing short of pure geniuses in their vision to have the largest and most technically advanced model city in the world!! Wait and see what they will have completed by the year 2020 in their grand vision for their "Wunderland" located in Hamburg, Germany. Much respect and love to those Germans and their ingenuity!! which I am 50% myself.lol!

Ich war auch vor vielen Jahren zuletzt da. Definitiv ein Fehler. Der Flughafen ist absolut klasse. Detailgetreu und realistisch, wie die gesamte andere Anlage.

There are many people working at the Miniatur Wunderland, including a few dozens of model makers. One of the founders, Gerrit Braun, did the programming.

The Miniatur Wunderland has more than 1000 trains, so you would enjoy a visit not only because Knuffingen Airport.

It took six years (150000 hours working time) and more than 3.5 million euros to build Knuffingen Airport as part of the Miniatur Wunderland.
They stick every take off and landing so perfectly. Awesome computer timing.

Sometimes there is even a YT-1300 listed, coming from Death Star. And yes, it will land at Knuffingen Airport.

Rafat Atwa Yes it's awesome and obviously costly to create! but I think they could have made it even more awsome with more detail, for example there is nothing weather beaten, the planes the tarmac, no tire marks etc...
and planes taxing to and from the terminals are moving and turning way to fast to be realistic for that scale! I'm sure some of you had noticed that.
but still very very darn impressive!
