You can truly feel the passion of those who worked on this, comrades. People say the British Airways Concorde is retired but that couldn't be further from the truth when it still serves Knuffingen Airport to this day! This is an almost perfect model airport. Almost perfect because we wish Air Koryo was represented since it's the world's best airline but alas. At least a Korean Air jet didn't land while based Aeroflot did.

Oh to be a little person boarding a little plane at a little airport going to another destination in a little world...the attention to detail is everything from the lights, the announcements, and even the sound of the gear touching the runway when the planes land. And this is just one part of the layout that is Miniatur Wunderland. Truly a one-of-a-kind place

still, I wouldn't want to take off from that airport. I've seen what happens once you disappear in the clouds, and it isn't your fun vacation destination...
I live in Hamburg and I can say that i'm very proud to be part of this beautiful city. Come and visit Hamburg it's the most beautiful spot in Germany. 🥂😎

This is the best display of a model airport I have ever seen. Even the sound of jet engines makes it real.
I think its timing is also based off the real thing
I visited this about five years back and was blown away. Watching this video, I’m still noticing some amazing details, like how the tyres sqeal on landing and the cabin lights brighten as an aircraft approaches its gate. I can’t imagine what it’d ever take to surpass this!

The fact that they have an MD-11 (my all time favorite) is simply amazing. It just shook me when I saw it!

This miniature airport is amazing. I've seen several videos of it. They even had a Thai A380 do a missed approach and go around but I never seen him come back. Probably diverted.
Why can't the US do something like this? This is amazing. Wish I could visit Germany just to enjoy the sight of the airport.

How do the planes taxi? Magnets under the tarmac? cause there are not any things for the things to come up and attach to them to pull them! I know the planes when they take off and land have some things that attach to the bottom, but how do they taxi? Also, 7:07 to 7:13 the Air France became a China Eastern! I can tell because the one car is the same and the ANA 787 is there!

Thats true, there are magnet-strips under the tarmac. A computer acts like the tower in reallife, it directs and leads the planes on the ramps, taxiways and runways.

The Knuffingen airport use it for fire drills. There's LEDs in the front to simulate fire, and occasionally the fire trucks will "put them out".

inselvideo Vielen Dank! Ja, das war mal etwas anderes - endlich mal kein Wind beim Filmen :-D Dafür weiß ich jetzt aber auch, wo die Schwächen der AX33 liegen. Unter low light Bedingungen läuft die definitiv nicht zur Höchstform auf. Es ist ja eh recht dunkel da drinnen, aber spätestens bei der Nachtsimulation des Flughafens rauschen die Aufnahmen dann gewaltig.

This is incredible! But it would be amazing if they add a little smoke machine on the runway so on touchdown, smoke comes out! But anyways it is amazing and I want one of these airports at my home!

Every couple of hours the Millenium falcon takes a little turn around the airport :D
So realistic, germany has the best engineering, hats off! The attention to details are more than amazing in this masterpiece. Wish i have the privilege to see it with my own eyes. >
If they added RyanAir, the landings are going to be hard.
edit: ryanair is a good airline, but if you want a hard core landing some percentage of a time, then go for it.

Visited this place a few years ago while on the way up to Norway from the Uk it’s is honestly breathtaking and I spent a good 2 hours watching this when I was there

If you consider a miniature funfair/carnival close enough to a miniature amusement park, you should plan to visit the Miniatur Wunderland, as it offers all items on your list, plus model ships and an erupting miniature volcano. This airport is just one part of the entire display.

MiniaturWunderland in Hamburg is the answer.
There's a complex of old bonded warehouses in the docks in the centre.
Inside which on different floors the fantastic fanatics have built HO gauge representations of Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Sweden,
u.s.w. and soon Britain apparently.
I've been there six times. It's not enough. I live in London too.
Treat yourself to a back stage tour WHEN you go, because you ARE going, I know.
On these tours, you can pilot a container ship down the Elbe , get naked sunbathers pointed out to you, see just how clever the night and day periods are, see where the moving road vehicles go to charge up all automatically.
And you'll see where the planes go. Won't tell you!

I might go to hamburg in the summer.
Looking at the emirates 777 and the ana 787 cockpit windows makes me want to cry
