Boxes like that tend to prefer loading the port, so it's nuts to see a sub reach xlim like this, although at 60Hz you may have gotten away with making some sort of horn off the port, may have gotten a few more dB at 60. A 2x2ft horn mouth should be enough.
not when youre throwing tons of power to a single sub like that. Bigger boxes does increase output but also reduces the sub's ability to handle power. SPL is all what the name implies, Sound Pressure Level.

because simply put, he has 6 times more speakers, the speakers are vastly bigger, and he has a lot more space to work with, whilst also having 3x the power, budget and everything else... its not like his "demo" build is made for demos either.. i highly doubt a 50+Hz box tune can play more than just those high tones.. its weird how when jp got, arguably the best subs in the world, that are literally designed for excursion and lows, lowers the volume on the lows.. and theres been all kinds of bs excuses, "got no power" "running only batteries" "alt belt is slipping" and so on...

true story. i had 2 jl 12w0's running about 1400w and it was painfully loud in my camaro sitting on the hump in the back. same setup in a blazer was still loud but nothing compared to the insanity of the hatch.

What is the size of the box and the port? The most important is what is that box made out of ? It looks like the styrofoam aluminum foil backed insulation board . That being said the box looked like it could not have been over 1.5 cubic feet the port was like 12” long maybe 8-10 ! Those numbers are off bad . Cause the areo port looked like 4 inch pipe . I guess its damn fine job and build to bring that manny db’s then to put that amount of power on it is insane. Kudos to the guys build and his kick ass system he’s got there . Just goes to show you dynamite still comes in small packages ! If I can get 120-130 from two x-max monster American bass 15’s with 8k nvx amp and 4-12” pioneers sealed on a synergy wfo 2250 when I get it all together in a 2004 4Runner I’d be plenty happy with 120-130 db’s of course I’m hoping it might do a little better . Also it’s set up to get all the frequencies I can get. Im going for listing pleasure not SPL But that’s not gonna stop me from getting loud I’m thinking after if I’ve got room for a 6th order maybe my sundown x15 d2v3 to get tuned to the frequencies I might not have enough of between sealed and ported . Maybe I can use it to advantage band passing the other to frequencies if the perimeters will let me . I really wanna have it setting there playing with the first set up and watch the bass start in one set then as it goes to the others the first set will slow down . We’re you can see like 30-50hz in the ported box then around 70hz the sealed box picks up and goes up to maybe 120 . Im kinda thinking I may having a 20hz then 60 hz in my band pass . But I know my other two may meet in the area of 50-70 just fine but if there tuned to play well at how I’m thinking I could use that bandpass to be entirely sure I can get every thing from sub 20s to 140s . I ve never seen any one enfisize on trying to hit all the different frequencies as loud as they could . With every box theres gains and losses . So what’s a man to do but combine them to get the full effect of all the flavors . I run a epicenter in my system I always have they tend to get a lot of bass that is lost or hidden in different music . Im just hoping to run one I don’t know if it’s gonna be posable I don’t know about getting them all tuned to be able that’s a thing I found I have 2 sealed 12s an 1 ported 15 right now . Sounds good but there has to be adjust the epicenter to sound good on the 12s then bring the remote gain for the 15 in the mix . Then maybe go back to the epicenter kinda back and forward till it sounds best ! Keep on breaking windows , setting car alarms off , and turning on those bass freaks out there !
Gotta love sundown. Im very happy with my 2 sa10's. People are always thinking they are 12's by the extreme lows but they are surprised when I tell them it's only 2 10's on a 1200 watt amp at 2.3 ohms. I used to have them on .7 but my amp is only 1ohm stable and I didn't want to blow the amp. I also have a 250 watt xplod amp pushing the back door speakers which are pioneers and the fronts are just going off the radio. I'm very happy with my setup and other people seem to be impressed with what my 2 littke 10's can so. I should also mention my box is custom built SPECIFICALLY for my subs. I'm sure im hitting around 145db at around 30-35hz.

That would require 27.5 amps of current at 110volts. Most standard outlets are 15 amp and could provide 1650 watts, and 20 amp would provide 2200 watts.
Serio I bet those things were scorching hot at the end of the burp. The bottleneck at those connectors is probably part of the reason the coils didn't fry though. He def wasn't seeing anywhere near 16k at the coils

That's why it can take 0 gauge wire for 2000watts DC and output 2000watts AC over 14gauge. Higher voltage over AC travels with less resistance therefore doesn't require as thick of wire.
I would think for quick burps it would hold up but for constant play would bring box rise and resistance in the wire which could heat it up pretty fast at those numbers music and burps have different effects. Not a professional or anything but from my understanding I think that’s why it didn’t fry it
