I noticed in 1985 downtown Hill Valley doesn't have as many businesses as it did in 1955. Guess when big retailers like Walmart or JC Penny move into town the downtown area loses a lot of its bustle.
One of my favorite opening scenes of all time. The song always gets me pumped and excited for the movie, and seeing Marty skateboarding, hitching a ride on the back of the vehicles and waving at the people in town is still so cool after all this time. I really wish I was able to go to school in style through a nice little small town like that! Also, i love seeing that vintage Burger King next to Doc's place, and I wish Burger King restaurants still looked like that. Man, the 80s seemed like such a cool time!

I love all BTTF films and part one is the best. It is actually about two love stories, George and Lorraine falling in love and Marty wanting to get back to his love Jennifer, for MJF in that look to Jennifer sums up the emotion of Love in one second (especially for teenage boys,I was one of these a few years after this came out)You can’t explain it, you just feel it.
This was the first movie I ever watch on the VCR not long after it came out. I had the movie and played it over 200 times, more than any other movie as a kid. Still when I watch it I learn some new reference or meaning off the movie, which makes it one of the best movies made! I miss the 80s. I cant stomach watching many new movies anymore.

This movie is everything to me. It was the summer that my mom told me she was done raising me n was giving me to my Dad, who she never let me know. I was 13. Long story short. Was the best thing that happened to me. Sure, there were bumps in the road, like in those first few months but this movie was my world. And even when life gets hard, it seems a bit easier to have at least one parent, who is psyched beyond belief your their child and love you unconditionally. I had my Dad the majority of my life. He got to know my kids. And loved being a grandparent. I miss him every day. Thanks Big Vinnie for all of it. *I apologize for the giant post. Just had to do it today. lol Kiss your parents. Tell them you love them and accept them for who they are. Remember we have all had dreams. Many make em come true. Others are put on a shelf for another day. And for some, our dreams morph into taking care of our own and others. Never make them feel less than. Don’t throw them away like my mom did me. Work your issues. Baby steps. We got this. ❤
