In the comics he found Red Skull than beat up and buried him alive. Red Skull started repenting and almost died too if he wasn’t rescued. I would love to see that in a movie.
Couldn't agree more, Fassbender truly portrayed the perfect young Magneto. The scene with him and Charles on the beach after the bullet hit his spine as well as the speech he was giving in Days of Future Past at the White House to his fellow mutants was pure cinematic mastery.
Even the subtle element that magnetos powers are relatively weak. The guy moving the gun, i felt it hinted at that. I may be wrong but i believe this is before his training with Xavier. Regardless he's supposed to be a slightly inferior mutant compared to old magneto. I felt that played well
@@NorthernTallow yeah he hadn't awakened his powers till Charles taught him to not rely on anger as his motivator. At this point he wasn't strong enough to even lift a boat. A minute of silence for the genius that decided on this and everybody up in the chain that let it slip "Villa Gesell" (A coast town by the Atlantic) into most probably "Bariloche" with mountains and snow. Still remember the day at the local cinema and everybody laughing with the WTF face.
Exacto, aquí en argentina ese lugar no existe en villa Gesell. Paisajes similares a lo de la película hay en Bariloche o en Neuquén, más para el lado del sur argentino...no en buenos aires jajajajaj

Funniest thing is, the guy with the knife had no idea this man already controlled the knife. And every bit of metal in that room. Magneto is terrifying
Erik is fluent in so many languages! German, English, French, Spanish. It’s really such a waste that he never became a teacher at Charles’ school. He could’ve recruited and communicated with so many prospective students from all over the world. (Maybe in the post-DOFP timeline, he did.)
You forget, this scene happened back in the 60s or 70s, clearly after a few decades the lake grew to become the sea, and the mountains eroded to become a beach.

I'm not sure it does. I think he made the decision to go for a very neutral accent. Not German, not American and certainly not Irish. It sounds great to me.
One of my favorite little details about this scene is that when the Pig Farmer draws the knife and tries to stab Eric, he's able to stop the blow WITHOUT USING HIS POWERS. It's a nice little touch that shows that even without using his powers this Magneto is still a serious badass as a younger man.
I found out this year that not only am I Jewish (from Poland), my family was actually IN concentration concentration camps in Poland and I’m not sure if they made it out. This scene hits harder now.
There are public records you can ask to access, all known Nazi camp locations can be queried for information about relatives - it usually takes an email with some basic details of the relatives (name, date of birth etc). It takes a couple weeks though.
