i just got a 18 coupe and all the car need was a sub once i got a sub its a whole new car when it came to car audio
Best Honda SI channel on TH-cam ! Hell yea 🔥 I’m putting my door speakers in today !
Had the same kicker as you but decided to spend some more money and the top performers are RockFord Fosgate and Skar audio and went with the Rockford and it’s a substantial upgrade from the kicker 👍🏼really recommend
which exact speaker?
what model
Do a search on them, and pick which one fits you best. It’s definitely not a Walmart off the shelf speaker, even if it has low ratings on paper. It’s all underrated when you watch tests anywhere on TH-cam 👍🏼
I changed the sub to a kicker solobaric 10”. Powered to what the sub could hold perfect can’t rem name of amp, and just changed the 4 speakers inside left them on the stock system. Sounds great and small. My buddy got a 12” for his car a Camry and mine hit harder than his does. Did it all for $425 as he donated me the 10” cause it didn’t hit hard enough in his…lol. Would have been near $750, but still would’ve been good for the price. Plus having a friend that knows the electrical side of it. Free install
I was always a fan of rockford Fosgate back in the day. I had 2 of their 10" punch models way back in 2000 in my 1988 vw gti. It was so much bass it literally blew out my rear hatch glass. I was pissed! Subscribed btw.
royalty free music is your friend for youtube and car audio
I like this video I thought the Dino Matt was supposed to cover all holes. I was just not understanding.
Hell ye, thas wassap mang. Imma let you know tho the 8in, in my opinion, is a tease even with amp power. It left me wanting more. You pointed out that ur looking for a sub that can give you space in the trunk I say go and check out the kicker downfiring L7T sub and pair with one of kickers small mono block amp. I went with their 12in sub because why not right? lol I attest to it because thats what Im rockin right now with the audiocontrol D5.1300 amp and believe me when I say its the truth. Its the perfect match and fitment in the trunk for our small coupes and you could stack anything on top of the subs. Also, you can easily remove them on the fly and use ur 8 in sub in case you really need more room. I say check um out.
I try to install the new sub, but give up..my panel isn't put back yet haha. Thanks, I might do it again
Where do I find the speaker and the bracket?
In heaven
Can’t seem to figure out how to fit the sub in the hole
I did this and right away I reverted it back to stock. not much improvement but once you start giving it more power with an amp you will have rattle after rattle that is hard to find all over the rear deck. I got myself instead a ported box for the kicker and it sounds better that way.
Take the L
Deberias de hacer videos en español carnal, hacen falta para los latinos, saludos.
Do all sub like this come with that connector you put on the kicker? Thinking of going skar but wasnt sure
Nice!
Is that bracket still good to purchase?? I don't wanna spend my money and not get anything, lol
I put a link for a newer bracket that is available in the description!
So the reason you wired the new sub red to red and black to black is to convert it from a 4 ohm to a 2 ohm to be able to use it with the factory radio and amp?
Yessir!
did that adapter just sit on top of the subwoofer and just presses down on it as you tighten the screws?
Yes! And I used double sided tape as well to hold it down better but once I tightened it down, the speaker felt secured. No issues to this day! I’ve since added an external sub and amp. I kept this one still though
I just purchased the kicker sub you recommended. Do you have a link for the 3d file? Your one drive link that you shared says that "the user has migrated, and the file is not available". Thanks!
Ahhh damnnn, it’s also hidden in the forums page I attached! I’ll try to find it again, I’ll let you know if I do!
Is the stock amp powerful enough for that bigger sub? I have a 9th gen civic EXL and the "Premium Audio" is awful. Changing out all the speakers will make that much of a difference? Or do I pitch the stock head unit and replace it with an aftermarket double-din and a better amp for the sub?
I do not know much about the stock AMP power rating, but what I do know is that if you upgrade all your speakers, it will be a huge difference. No more distortion or static noise when blasting music. Just get high-quality speakers. The rear sub is worth the upgrade, but a boxed-in sub will always be best which is what I have now also.
@@ElPinche97 I'll need to put down some of that insulation tape cause every once in a while when it does get some bass the back deck rattles
What kind of 3D print material did u select ?
The 2nd option, the one that comes in black , not the first one
less fucken gooooooo
How did you fit the sub in the frame
It goes in at an angle, if you’re scared to scratch the rear window use a towel to cover the speaker so it won’t hit
@@ElPinche97thanks 👍
@@ElPinche97I just realized mine didn’t come with the wires
Do you happen to know the rear deck speaker sizes ?
i believe they are 4inch
@@ElPinche97 thank you. I managed to fit 5.25 kickers 46CSC54 with 1” adapters in back. Rear deck clears very well.
I need the link for the 3d file thanks boss
can't find the original file. But someone made a bracket available to purchase online and its for aftermarket subs that are 8" ! mobilemaxcaraudio.com/product/acura-8-inch-subwoofer-adapter-spacer-bracket-w-speaker-connector/
