This video literally motivated a good friend of mine to get in shape and lose lots of weight. Every time we were at the gym together and he'd start to get lazy, he'd just say "eat less, move more."
@@kennethshaffer wow i can't believe i made this comment 15 years ago lol...he's doing ok. doesn't go to the gym anymore unfortunately, but he's in ok shape
@Va Lin spoken like a guy who didn't look at any research I noted. And everything you said is a myth. A horribly dangerous myth. You think if a caveman wanted food, that the body would eat muscle instead of fat, which is what it's for, to make it HARDER to chase down a rabbit? That's not how it works AT ALL! Don't eat. Your body will eat fat. That's why your body makes fat.
sevencolours don’t tell people what is too fast or not for them especially when you do not know their starting weight or lifestyle: you are not a doctor and you definitely cannot say that over the comments to someone and secondly that is not a lot of weight in one year or if a person is at an obese size or eating well above maintenance.
"You'd rather have invasive surgery than lose weight by eating less and moving around?" Exactly what goes through my head when I hear someone talking about having their stomach stapled
If you aren’t morbidly obese or never have been, you have no idea what an obese person goes through. If the person feels that “stomach stapling” will bring them to a healthier size and help them to maintain their weight, that’s their business. Not your decision to judge, especially if you have never been obese.
The ironic part is that if they go that route they are FORCED to eat a very restricted diet because certain foods become dangerous to the person. I knew somebody that got bad surgery twice because she popped the band the first time eating things she wasn't supposed to eat.
There was a MadTV Sesame Street skit on childhood obesity. And Keegan-Michael Key once again used the phrase “invasive surgery”. I’d only have 2 nickels, but it’s weird that it happened twice
LOL! I literally just searched this skit to illustrate the absurdity of the current body positivity movement in 2022! It was way more accurate than I even remembered! Goddamnit sad and funny at the same time
Fucking brilliant! Why hasnt Mad TV won a Nobel Peace Prize for medicine? I guarantee every medical doctor and peer-reviewed journal would agree with their breakthrough weight loss technique.
This is one of the funniest things I have ever seen!! I think it is so funny because it is so typical of people's attitude toward diet and exercise. So funny!!
This is so sadly true! It's what my typical client sounds like, and my health and fitness programs really do save them money! It's crazy! LOVE IT!!! SMILES!
I've been on the eat less move more program for the last two weeks.....I would like to inform everyone an added side effect is MORE SEX, yes MORE SEX .......which coincidentally happens to involve more movement...
This is simple comedy that couldn't get done in 2021 without a firestorm of personal attacks against the actors and writers. Maybe they could do it if it targeted a specific high profile fat republican and made it personal about them.
@HighQueenLunaris Metabolism can be increased by eating less (and healthier) and moving more. It forces the body to be more efficient. It's the same concept as expanding lung capacity and increasing oxygen intake by living in the mountains.
A thousand years from now people will still find this relevant and funny at the same time and I'll still be here to read the future reactions in this comment section.
@CanadaCraig this is correct. Fat storage is a direct cause of elevated Insulin levels in the blood. Unfortunately the high carbohydrate society we live in has caused this epidemic of obesity. Some people have a natural ability to process carbohydrate, but most do not. If people moved from to a meal plan focused on meat and fats and vegetable... and dropped the breads, rice, pastas and refined sugars... the world would be a healthier and skinnier place. Should check out fathead-movie.
I want another update, please. I find that this is the most maintainable diet plan...eating less and moving more. Also, a restricted caloric intake helps you live longer by up to a third longer maybe, since you'll have more NAD for your mitochondria. This is actually true, probably.
If it were that easy no one would be fat. When I studied abroad in Russia I lost weight but I had trouble continuing to lose weight back in the states. I didn't gain self-control on the plane ride there and lose it on the way back. It isn't fair to blame the individual when everything in your environment is working against you.
I do eat veggies and only eat little amounts HELL I even skip meals cause I'm not hungry and I don't go eating more the next meal i eat like normal. But my problem is the move around part. I have health problems that make it hurt to move longer then 30mins. But a friend says if I go looking at stores buying or not for 4hrs twice a week its the same as 1hr work out so what ever lol I might just do that. great video though lol
"This is a poorly designed pamphlet" is a brilliant line

Truth-in-comedy right here.
"You know what, lady, I don't think you wanna lose weight"
"Bull crap! You don't know me"
This is the only philosophy that has helped me lose weight. I lost 60 lbs in a year by doing this.
Too fast, you'll regain it, if not already.
sevencolours No it’s not at all. Watch Dr. Fung or read his book “The obesity code”. Not eating works...and it’s the best and most obvious solution.

Tracy Carmack do you still have your pamphlet?

I've had conversations almost exactly like this.
The sad part is that there are people like this that exists lol.
@ me
+SikeNaw Gaming MILLIONS OF THEM
same group can't figure out how to reverse AGW. WHICH IS EXACTLY THE SAME!
Except carbon instead of food.
burn less, sequester more.
@@GhostlordGames your comment is such bull shit ....
Lol. Yeah..me..intermittent fasting has saved my life though. Lol
I love the way she talks, it really makes this character perfect.
This is one of my all time Mad, TV Favorite Skits. Extremely funny but true to life!

1:59 - I love the ecstasy she subtly puts into munching the cookie xD
The Kebler elves love fat ladies. We're like black dudes that way!" HILARIOUS!!
That "Don't forget your pamplet" toss sent me.
LOL! I literally just searched this skit to illustrate the absurdity of the current body positivity movement in 2022! It was way more accurate than I even remembered! Goddamnit sad and funny at the same time
😂I just found out abt this skit from a bopo reaction channel! Love it!
so funny and true, more people should see this, this way those weight lose scams would lose some ground
Nah it wouldn't help. Most of those programs are predicated on people wanting instant gratification or not wanting to exercise.
God, I luv Christa Flanagan. Even when she's heavy she's funny and cute.
I miss this show :(
Fucking brilliant! Why hasnt Mad TV won a Nobel Peace Prize for medicine? I guarantee every medical doctor and peer-reviewed journal would agree with their breakthrough weight loss technique.
“You’d rather have invasive surgery then eating less and moving around?”
“At least I’d be asleep!”
Honestly same.
Honestly sad, talking from personal experience I hope you care more about your health it improves your life immensely, It sure as hell improved mine
Not even fat, and I feel the same...SLEEP!!!
We need Mad TV back.
OmG, one of my MadTV faves!
That's Keegan Key isn't it?
Bingo!
Hand looks like of Dr Phil
"At least I'll be asleep!" LMAO!!! And what the HELL is she spending $350/day on? I wish I had her money!
Anne Brown Yeah, I don’t know if you noticed, but this isn’t real.
Even i can only spend 80 dollars a day going to a restaurant for every meal
She’s on a Keebler budget. The Keebler Elves love fat ladies!
Poster child for the body positive movement.
This is one of the funniest things I have ever seen!! I think it is so funny because it is so typical of people's attitude toward diet and exercise. So funny!!
$350 a day lol!!
What does she do for a living that she can afford to spend that much in groceries?!🤣
@@Lemons19902010 But I like that he suggests that she can save $200 a day... leaving her at only $150 a day!
I still love this. It is so true. Best and simplest explanation ever.
So perfect showing of how we say i want that! but sometimes we just dont want to pay the price for it, for all the reasons this vid shows. Awesome!
True.
This is Timeless lol
dont forget your pamphlet, lol xD
This is starting to sound like a scam, something you do to an old person...
I think Crista was the perfect choice to play this one! Meanwhile, if she's not going to eat the cheddar cheese crackers....... could I have them?
A few years ago I lost 40 lbs in 4 months only using Eat Less, imagine if I'd flipped the pamphlet over. The weight's still off btw. It really works!
I lost 90lbs on the eat less, move more diet. It REALLY works! ;P
40lbs down in 5 months, thank you MADtv
and yet here I am lying on my ass and eating ice cream while stumbling upon this video...
.."at least I'd be asleep!" LMAO
this is one of the best skits. oh my god so funny!
BRILLIANT CONCEPT....more people should try it
thanks for posting this
What... This is free? Sounds like some sort of scam, I don't know if I can believe in losing weight just simply by eating less and moving more
The “body positivity movement” in a nutshell.
A skit like this would never fly nowadays.
millennials
Yes it would, the only one complaining about hypothetical stuff that would “fly today” (all completely random) are old farts like you
Absolutely brilliant!
These instructions sure are complicated.
This is so frickin funny
mad tv saved my life, i lost 25 pounds on this diet and avoided eating my neighbors dog
Well you’re not Hatian 😅
ngl those fudge slugers look really good
i prefer to eat more move less
MADTV……….Ruled the Comedy
LMAO!!! One of the best skits ever!!!
also expecting 6.5 billion people to all work the same inside is like expecting everyone to be 6 feet tall because you are.
They should show this to students in health class
Get the body you deserve- what a catch phrase.
It gets more complicated the more you describe it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
eat more slowly, then; you'll get full before you're done eating.
Haha, that last line is the best part of this whole video!

Good Lord!!! hahaha
$350 a day on food??? Good Lord indeed!!!
Kids in my health class love this one!
This is so true. Thats all we need to do! Everything you want you must work for it.
I hear all you have to do is 'Eat less & Move more'
Getting your stomach stapled’s point is eating less.So if both cases, you’re eating less
The trick is that it doesn't happen in a day or even a week. Most people get discouraged when they don't get instant gratification.
This is so epic.
@meloveanna OMFG! just saw the pics. thank you thank you thank you!
OH MY GOSH! That's amazing!
I'm fatter now than I've ever been, haha crazy!

Surely Spishak has a weight loss pill I can take.
This is crazy enough to work!

eat for your body
not for your ego.

When you plateau, you need to move MORE than what you did.
it works i lost weight!
It's sad how the obesity rate has gone up mostly in southern part of the u.s
