Fun fact about primeval ones: The blue is sexually dimorphic! It is only visible in the male. Also the quills on their back shake aggressively like a rattlesnakes tail, which is a cool detail.
They gave it quills so it could have an integument covering its body, since they didn’t have the time or budget to animate & composite feathers on the whole model so the quills were a compromise. It’s also why there’s that little line of dialogue from Abby about its bone structure being similar to a birds.
Weird fun fact about Primeval’s Deinonychus, in Series 3 & 4A they reuse the model for an “Unnamed” North African Dromaeosaur, this bizarrely aged quite well because we now know there was a Dromaeosaur that lived in the Bahariya formation alongside Spinosaurus, so well done Primeval for being ahead of your time.
Hooray! and Thank You! Carnosaur is 1 novel, and 5ish movies, technically 3 but two other movies using stock footage. In Carnosaurus 2 and 3 they were changed to velociraptors thanks to JP. Dino-riders came out in the 80s They are adorable in paleo pines
I also like it when raptors are depicted in blue, green, and or black, because as a kid I used to have a puzzle set that had a blue feathered raptor in a cool pose and it has been imbedded in my memory since then
Quick tip: playing prior extinction console isn't really recommended if you want proper gameplay because half of the controls are invalid and it's a little difficult to mess around in but it's better then nothing.
@@MarkTheDilophosaurus281 not sure. I'm guessing the idea they were going for was that because it's egg was laid by a chicken,it inherited some traits that it later outgrew.
The Fossils and Archeology Deinonychus is also pretty good looking. Its whole face is white, giving it kind of an edgy skull look. I honestly wish you on include the Fossils and Archeology designs more, and possibly other Minecraft mods.
You know how every now & then you get a depiction of a prehistoric animal that becomes the canon interpretation/look of the animal. For me, Primeval’s Deinonychus is the Canon look of Deinonychus, I don’t care if the model is wildly inaccurate, it’s an awesome design, they knocked it out of the park with that black & white underbelly striping & the sound design in series 2 especially.
Carnosaur! Now that's a blast from the past that I did not expect to see, and I didn't know it had a novel tied to it! Now I have to go watch the films again... apparently there were 5... I only knew of the first two because I rented them and saw them on SciFi. They were interesting movies to say the least and for their time (1993, so in that JP era of things) they were a neat watch.
Deinonychus also appear as enemies in Turok: Evolution, Turok 2008 and Jurassic The Hunted. In Jurassic The Hunted, they resemble the JP3 male Velociraptors with 3 different colors. In the Turok games, they're Jurassic Park-stylized. 😅
Wsg dinoguy, idk if you’ve heard about it but a few days ago a new genus of Diplodocinae or smth (idk how to write that) was named, it’s called Ardetosaurus Viator, there’s a skeleton of it in a museum here in the Netherlands (it was thought it was a diplodocus until now), it has the nickname Kirby
There are at least 2 Carnosaur Movies and they are way too different from the Source Material. Basically someone came up with the Story, and liked the Title of the Book. From what I've heard so far about the Book, I think a Movie Version of it, could be pretty nice
Be warned, #DinoGuy8 The Roger Corman “Carnosaur” films are graphic and deviate from the book. The first book clones states the dinosaurs being cloned from a species of bird (IDK which), by a rich a-hole who wants to replace humans with dinosaurs. The scientist from the film uses a chemical weapon in a Jurassic Park-Xenomorph (“Alien”) hybrid plot. “Carnosaur 2” is “Aliens” with inaccurate dinosaurs. I can remember “Carnosaur 3: Primal Species” very well.
Wait. Did they give the Primeval Deinonychus a few proper Feathers on the Back? :D Remembered them completely featherless besides the few Protofeathers
Thank you for adding Path Of Titans! I got a heartache last video because it wasn’t there 😅 Also, did you know Path Of Titans deinonychus can double jump now? First by the way

That’s pretty neato

My favourite innacurate dromeasaur design in fiction
4:28 It’s RickRaptor105
When’s Rick gonna review I am T. rex 2023?

In the old primeval tributes he was just called dromaeosaurus

He is on pc he just did the menu scroller
I can tell! Haha, I’ll definitely be switching to PC now 😅
Fun fact: In Carnosaur, the Deinonychus has feathers early on, though this is only seen in BTS photos.
Why the heck didn’t they include it?!

I love the Primeval Raptors. And the variety we see across the shows. The Raptor, Swimming Raptor and Utahraptor all look awesome!
Nice other video of the interpretation of the Deinonychus in media and finally, you added Path of Titans which is really cool.
DinoRiders was a 1980's property.
i dont know where you live but i love when you upload videos at this time bc i can watch them before school
Good to see the honorable mentions👍
Deinonychus is so good now in PoT, it can survive 1 shots, double jump, and sense footsteps. It combines the best abilities from struthi and rhamph.
3:00 Before. It was an 80s cartoon for the toy line.
deinonychus has a lot of lore
Not today babe, new deinonychus lore just dropped 🥶🥶🥶
HEY!! There’s also this game called “Tiny Dino World” where it also had deinonychus and many more dinosaur species !!

Even if we don’t know what kind of raptor the primal raptor is it’s still a great addition. Great show btw
The disappointing thing about the Carnosaur series is how the book is a very fun read, but the movie strips most of the fun away
The interpretation of Deinonychus portrait
My favorite Deinonychus is the Primeval interpretation
One of my favorite is Life on our Planet Deinonychus. Also absolutely love the designs in Path of Titans.
Bro saw the PoT update
hell yea fav Dino gets 2 parts 🙏🙏
When I think Deinonychus I jump to Primeval.
Highly recommend Carnosaur, a really fun movie I personally love

My favorite Deinonychus is JP3/Primeval coats.

I wish you talk about Primal Rage.
dino riders came out in the 80's
7:50 IT SO CUTE!!!
PS: If you plan on watching Carnosaur, the 1993 film, just know it's pretty gory and gross. It's not for everyone.
Dino Riders first aired in 1988.
Love the colors of the carnosaur Deinonychus it's also a very decent movie put a very dark one too also the baby Deinonychus has feathers❤
What of Exoprimal
The Deinonychus from path of Titans looks ridiculous
There are at least 2 Carnosaur Movies and they are way too different from the Source Material. Basically someone came up with the Story, and liked the Title of the Book.

Guess whos back back again

What about the Venatosaurs?
dino-nye-kuhs, I still make the mistake of saying it that way.
Jurassic park nostalgic
Dude, you should definitely watch the carnosaur movies. They’re a classic. A bit cheesy but they do give you the heevi jeebies
What about fossil fighters?
Thank you for adding Path Of Titans! I got a heartache last video because it wasn’t there 😅
Also, did you know Path Of Titans deinonychus can double jump now?
First by the way
Damn 7 minutes
Na dinasour don't have feathers
They had hair, like humans. You cant prove me wrong
@@ADinoNerdXD na
