    This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
    The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
    We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
    Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

      Ego identifies itself or the thinker as separate form its thoughts. Therefore taking no responsibility for its destructive nature

      There is no separation between the ego and you. You are the ego, such as you are the tree and society. Your honest observation of what the ego is makes the ego disappear and makes the human act.

      Gianpaulo Francesco Yes. He was. A truly loving and caring human being. Sadly, all these years later and humans have not gone through the radical transformstion he envisioned. The division, conflict, suffering and sorrow continues. Still slaves and not free. JK tried to free us. He did his best. I'll have to quote Aldous Huxley on this " humans will begin to love their own slavery". Although he was part of the elite power structure, he was correct. We are too far gone for radical change. Our society will have to degrade to the point that it collapes.

      Bari Ruberg true but all is not lost. Change begins with oneself and just one can impact the lives of many around them.

    • @meghan42
      @meghan42 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Francesco .. yes, he was a beautiful human being. And Bari ... we cannot wait for 'humans' to go through radical transformation, because it's not about 'humans'. It is not even about society. Krishnamurti has examined the idea of society and it's interesting to read. "Society" (whatever that is) may be degrading but we don't have to. We ARE society.

    • @musicminded64
      @musicminded64 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      perhaps i do see how you mean, Bari Ruberg, about having "society" to degrade to the point that it collapses..., if looking at seemingly those many "people" nowadays who must believe and think they are leaders... such as "here and there" in academic education and politics..., companies... etc. etc., that in those "influential positions" there are those who seem not at all to understand nor ever truly question the nature of human being.... and seem to not feel themselves humanity..... I agree that, because of this, sometimes it is very hard to keep the courage. Glad videos of Jiddu Krishnamurti are here to learn for ourselves in togetherness..., not living in enmity like sometimes seem to do all those supposed "others" who seem to not even recognise they are living in conflict... and cause and maintain division, are in denial of love and seem to even promote "the dark" etc. etc.., taking their ignorance for granted..., think they are so important 'at the cost of all and everything' else... Glad Krishnamurti is feeling like a gentle good wise friend and glad the timeless content of his dialogues etc. are available through the videos, giving clarity and hope in these (according to me) 'dark times'.... but these 'dark times' we must face, not run away, not become anything inwardly...., knowing on detachment without being ever isolated... etc. etc. , looking at the root of thought.... etc. etc. And always include love. *

      musicminded64 The one thing that I have struggled with in regards to K's teachings is that inwardly one can resolve all internal conflicts but not outwardly. Outwardly the division still continues so inwardly the individual cannot ever be completely free because we are all connected. As K says we are in this together. So I am glad K' teaching are still available and there are still those like you, me and others who commented that still care about humanity can pass this information on to others. As I remember K once saying we have to scream this message from the mountain top if we truly care. Although, it makes me happy that I am not the only one that listened to K's message. Complete and total FREEDOM what is there out there that is more important than this? Unfortunately we will never hear any of the leaders or politicians talk about this they are to motivated by money. It will take a radical transformation of consciousness one mind/brain at a time at least a change in enough minds to reach the tipping point :) Thanks for the reply.

    To measure his height, one has to sink to one's own depth. The question is, are we willing to let go of this rope of Ego? Your fall will catch the flight, and gravity will keep you afloat.

    Knowledge has no place in relationship..Compassion for one another comes to be when we see the implications of having an image about oneself and one another. If there is an image in relationship then there actually is no relationship. There is only a relationship between images which are not factual. Responsibility implies the negation of knowledge in relationship being our ideas, opinions, beliefs, an so on. Only then can we meet each other with deliberation.

    I wonder if the questioner meant something else.
    Maybe he meant what our goal in life has to be.
    Are we obligated to find out how to be a better person which will not create suffering for our fellow man and the world.
    Is that our responsibility?
    I understand intellectually that the observer is the observed. But my understanding dues not transform into living without division.
    I am still conflicted.

      Maybe you can remember as a child you were pure perception - did not really care about logic and thinkinking - living in the moment - just observing? Can we get back to this as adults? By dismantling our false thoughts?
