    Just added the G430 LST in my bag and I absolutely love it. Feels solid, I love how I can know exactly where it is in my backswing. Was able to consistently carry it 280-290, with a 9 degree head I can get to launch pretty straight with a 300+ roll out pretty consistently...

    I went and got fitted for the G430 max. Great driver but not enough to switch from my G425 max. So I'm sticking to the 425 as of now. Great review though. Definitely a solid driver.

    I got fitted a couple weeks ago for the G430. The G430 sounded like the perfect driver for a mid handy cap golfer like myself. The only problem was of the 4 drivers I hit, I hit it the worst. The Ping had the widest group and the shortest distance, by a large margin. I hit the Cobra Aerojet Max and the Stealth 2+ almost identically. I ordered the TaylorMade. I have Ping irons and fully expected to buy the G430. I guess that is why we get fitted, cause what works well for someone else may not work well for you.

    I got fitted last week w the Ping G430, TM Stealth 2, Callaway Paradym and the Titleist TSR2. The Ping I felt I could really go after the ball really hard but it was just to short for me compared to the other two options. In the end, I ended up going with Titleist TSR2 w HZDARUS Smoke Black 6 shaft. I was getting the best ball speeds out of all the drivers and consistently in the short grass.

    Hi Gabe. I play the rogue st max ls 9 degree turned up to 10 because i like a baby draw. My swing speed is similar to yours. I have experimented with many shafts and they all make a difference in ball flight and carry. The autoflex was the longest, but it required a smooth swing every time. Couldn't control my tempo enough to be consistent. Then I went with the BGT brava in regular flex. This one is very good, about as long as the autoflex, and the left and right dispersion got better. Only thing is that I now like even lighter shafts. So when the new mitsubishi vanquish came out, I was able to get a super light shaft (49g) in stiff regular flex. Just played a full round with it today and I have to say it's probably one of the best shafts I have hit in a long time. If i wanted a draw, no problem. If I needed a fade, it was like on demand. For me, it was like point and shoot. Got the paradym head coming in a week or so and can't wait to see what it will do. From everything I've read and seen, should be a bit more forgiving than the LS.

    • @LetsPlayThru
      @LetsPlayThru  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like the perfect shaft for you. Lmk what you think of the Paradym head once you test.

  • @johnbennett1162
    @johnbennett1162 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You should test a regular and lighter shaft. You could probably get your head speed up with less work. You look like you are struggling to swing it. TXG has shown that lots of golfers can benefit from less stiff and lighter shafts like the autoflex.

    When the head of the largest fitting company in North America says his gamer for 2023 is the G430 max it certainly gets your attention. He gets ALL his clubs and shafts for free and has no specific equipment affiliation. That says a lot.

    Interest test. Considering that the Callaway produced a longest drive of 285 I’d give this testing on a few days trial on course and see with various swings on certain days of results vary. They can. The Ping was good but never got to 285 yards. But it did average higher… today. I like the Ping performance just those Turbulators are kinda like 1” moles on a new brides face. Hope some day they disappear but I’d like to see a head to head against standard Paradym, Mizuno 230 STX, and Stealth 2 standard and throw in Cobra Aerojet. See what happens. After a warmup, hit it in the center of the face and I got 210 yards. The store employee said from his experience, that I could add 18-20 on the golf course because of the balls in the driving booth. I’ll sign up for a driver fitting and try with other shafts.

  • @rjstj1
    @rjstj1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you think your swing speed might be too low for a stiff shaft? I'm just curious. The reason I ask, is I'm 55 and am swinging about 105-110 and actually hit a regular flex a little better than a stiff flex. I do tend to change shafts though throughout the year as I play more.

    • @LetsPlayThru
      @LetsPlayThru  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For me stiff works. But I don’t like to put folk’s swing speeds / shaft fits into a box. A golf swing’s mechanics are different for each individual. So if regular works for you, stick with that.

    • @keithpanco
      @keithpanco ปีที่แล้ว

      Flex is a factor of swing rhythm more than speed. An aggressive takeaway and transition is better with a heavier and stiffer shaft.
