    Jason Day is going to be a star golf analyst whenever he decides to retire. He could even have his own sports show. He is extremely charismatic, and his intuition when speaking to people e.g. asking questions is excellent.

      Thought the same thing. His ability to understand what the player is trying to do then articulate it is amazing. Plus he just seems so inquisitive that he really wants to understand everything. Really solid

      It’s a luxury only for the pros to be sure but most avid, serious golfers with low handicap should replace at least once per season. New wedges are worth the couple hundred bucks per season.

      Yep. Mine are 15+ years old and I think it is time to get new ones now. Although I had a practice yesterday chipping 20 shots Lob, Sand, PW each from 40, 30, 20 yards out and 92% we on the green, but all still seems to be 15 ft-20ft short of the hole. Was pretty consistent, but I have 0 back spin.

      @@cpcxgsr im pretty sure meetings hundreds of thousands of fans every single tournament for 20+ years straight was worn down his patience, hes still human 😭 i remember while trying to get an autograph from tiger he looked at the massive onslaught and just took a deep breath and sighed. he’s clearly tired after a long day of golf and would much like to go home

      @@cpcxgsr most likely you don't play golf and if you do, then you are not a competitive player. The amount of tension, nerves and focus a player applies during a game is so immense, that 95% of the time they're in a zone throughout the tournament, the ones that can afford to react to fans are either in lead by a mile or know that they will not make the cut even if they tried hard. And to call someone a "dbag" without even knowing them personally says allot about your character

      This is widely known about Tiger. He's not the most approachable person. That's a fact.

But knowing Tiger he never does anything for free. Just like when he plays on the European Tour. He collects huge appearance fees to just to show up. If not, he's not going to be there. He's also not there to win. He's there to collect a pay check.

    I watch this video periodically. I love how Jason (himself obviously an incredibly talented golfer) just picks their brains the entire time, and Tiger and Rory pick his brain too... and then Rory starts talking about improving his chipping and short game, and Tiger nods along treating him like a peer. I never get tired of this video.

    The amount of knowledge that's being shared in this video is absolutely priceless, but what really makes it so valuable is how freely and natural the conversation was moving. Obviously Jason Day is largely to thank for that. He's so engaged, truly curious, sounds about as "geeked" as most viewers are, and really just speaks in a way that everyone can relate to, almost as if he hasn't been a 15-year tour pro and Number 1 in the world at one point. Just absolute gold.

      Exactly...its easy to say "oh just take it back here and hit a draw with more hook spin cover it more with your body and compress the inside of the ball"...while that may be true, I would step up with all that in mind and just stick the leading edge 3 inches behind the ball into the turf , then think "this shit doesn't work"

    These TaylorMade videos are awesome but this one is the best. When I learned how to hit "draws" with wedges and learning how to vary the axis of rotation of the ball for certain shots and learn that hitting draws helps utilize bounce better and gives better margin of error it was a major game changer. This video is where it started.

    I love listening to Jason’s questions to Tiger and the responses. They’re really thoughtful and specific so Tigers responses are really interesting.
    I’d love to watch a longer video with Jason and Tiger (and maybe Collin) doing things like these. Tiger has so much to say and Jason asks the questions to get it from him.

    Its funny with tiger saying "I can't do that I have to feel it in my hands"...jesus man, imagine what sort of muscle memory those hands have and how much he can trust his hands...just crazy..."I don't visualize a spot I just look at the hole and trust my hands"...rory and Jason (both incredible world class players) just boggled

    I learned more about my own game with this video. Dragging the handle on chip shots is my biggest greenside problem. Heading to range to work on letting hands release through on short chips.

      Depends what level you are at, for amateurs holding the club off is the safest method. Releasing the hands like the pro's will lead to chunks and thins unless you practice a lot.

      Try practicing your chips shots with your right hand if right handed it teaches you to release and use the bounce, release the club but your hands must pas your leading leg👍🏻

      @@John_Wood_ Agreed, as long as people understand that "holding off the club" does not mean "dragging the handle through impact with your arms." You can keep your arm structure so long as you keep rotating through the shot a la Jason Day.

    I have several Australian friends and I find them to all be very conversational.

    Such great content. Prob best I’ve ever seen and heard. A lot of it more applicable to the higher caliber golfer. Very refreshing to hear things said out loud by the best in the game. I digest so much more from listening to conversation than being told via direct instruction

    Its laughable when people say Phil Has the greatest short game of all time. Tiger has executed harder short game shots under pressure more often then Phil

      Hank Haney (Tiger's ex coach) actually notes in his book how average Tiger's short game was. He said it was average for the tour, or even a little poor. He said he would always put too much spin on the easier shots. The more difficult shots he was amazing with the spin, but the easier shots not so much

      Jason Day is going to be a star golf analyst whenever he decides to retire. He could even have his own sports show. He is extremely charismatic, and his intuition when speaking to people e.g. asking questions is excellent. agreed!

      That is how I chip and putt. At the hole, I have never picked a spot and when I try I do that just like Tiger I leave it short.

    These videos are amazing. I love watching the best of the best intently taking notes from the best ever. Even though those guys are big names who can keep up with tiger. The “Big brother” “little brother” energy with tiger and Rory is awesome. I taught my little brother everything I knew and it didn’t take long for him to be kicking my ass in everything haha

    I am so jealous of these guys. I wish I could start life over and from 2 years old play golf and only golf. Golf. Golf. To me they all seem like such laid back guys that live for the sport. As a bonus they play the most gorgeous courses in the world every weekend. What a life.

    Very cool hearing Tiger voice a lot of the same images of the view of the green read is an overall thing the same way I do myself. And that comment about being short every time if picking a spot to chip to is very relatable. Cool stuff. 😎

    Tiger reminding me of when I was a little kid watching a vhs I recorded learning how to chip like he did. Thanks for making me confident enough to be "handsy" and reminding me it's fine if you're feel and touch can keep up.
