This is actually considered a 2 wire or pin alternator, as you go by how many wires or pins are in the plastic plug housing only. U don't take into account the main charge output as a wire or pin due to the fact all alternators have to have this, so U only go by the pin amount in the plastic plug connector only. Hope this helps.
I disagree. If you were not to count the main output wire, then the famous GM "One Wire" alternator would be called "No Wire" alternator. You count them all.
Does anyone know how to match up alternator connector wire harness if the wire colors are different. The harness wires running from the alternator are black yellow and blue….then crimping or soldering 2 yellow wires and one orange.
Nice! Accurate! To the point clear communication! Good job! Your style is inspiring. MarkMannM2

No,, its not
Slideshow instructions are no good. Also they’re called ‘ring terminals’, not O-rings.

To be honest, I've looked at a few videos on this topic and yours is pretty confusing.... nice try, but...
Why everybody show a diagram and NOBODY can do it for real ?
3 pin wire harness for 2004 Ford ranger 3.0 gas engine
