Eunie IS based. Monolith more than delivered on her personality, and both the Japanese and English voice actors friggen nailed the performance. Absolutely best girl of the game.
There seriously needs to be a way more powerful “reduce enemy debuff resist” skill on one of the DLC heroes than Sappy-Sappy Drain (maybe to differentiate it from that skill, give this one an additional handicap effect like also increasing your own susceptibility to reactions or something)
THIS!!!! I was completely disappointed to find out that stacking all my blaze damage+ stuff on Seraph was completely useless because there's only like a 0.0000000001% chance to apply Blaze to bosses/uniques. And that's even with applying Resistance Down. RIP dot build. Going back to playing Riki in 1.
@@pockystyx4087 ether penetration and debuff resist are completely different things. Ether doesn't have a pen skill (there is an accessory for up to 30% though) because ether attacks can't be blocked, while physical can. We are complaining about the fact that it's nearly impossible to apply many debuffs which limits build options heavily and makes some things (blaze) impossible to apply, therefore completely useless.
Or, just patch it to where Unique Monsters can debuffed easier and then add some skills that pause debuffs timers, and decrease debuffs resistance. Bam, debuffs are as viable as buffs.
@@Akihito_Kanbara Oh; I know. I wasn't saying they were the same thing. I was just stating that Debuffs and Ether damage could use the same level of love that Buffs and Physical damage get.
Since you mention Noah is best with the guns technically, it made me realise Monolith missed a trick of giving Noah a Monado-esc skin for all his weapons as technically that is all it is for his sword.
Gray was one of the most insane heroes in my playthrough, which was on hard mode. Executioner basically guarantees Bravo rating in chain attacks; and getting him multiple times in one chain attack can build up insane damage multipliers. And it’s AoE, which just makes it even sillier
Hey Enel, love the guides so far. One thing I would kinda like to see is maybe talk about the Master Arts and Skills that the class offers as well and talk about their applications with other classes. While a lot of this info is obviously geared towards endgame, I imagine there's quite a few people still playing through the game and it would be helpful to know which classes might be better to prioritize levelling on certain characters playing through the story based off what they offer to specific builds.
@@EnelXC I'm still in early chapter 4 (having a 7-5 job will sap your free time from you like nothin else), fumbling through figuring out which classes are actually worth ranking up, I would l o v e to have a guide for reference, especially for how early i imagine I still am This game gives me the impression that it's similar to Bravely Default, where very few of the classes were any good as mains, but a TON of them had abilities that were necessary to make the best of the classes that are actually any good, so I've kinda been trying every class on every character as I go, but it's given me a lot of problems with overleveling
I like the accessory that increases your accuracy every time you miss (up to +50%). Sure, it's not a straight damage increase, but it helps with consistency and keeping the FMJ's bonus up.
You can run a flat 60% increase to accuracy during day/night time later that straight outclasses that accessory but it's a good accessory for earlier in the game.
@@EnelXC Huh, cool. Where do you get them, and can you get multiple in case you accidentally sell one? EDIT: Just checked through my accessory list, and it turns out I do at least have 1 each of the gold versions of Platinum Brooch and Sonic Sensor, so that's nice. No idea where I got 'em, but they're there.
I did notice during my play through that when the AI uses FMJ, they seem to have a big fear of going behind the enemy, even if they are equipped with just fatal barrage and not quickdraw. I suspect it has something to do with the the never miss passive but I’m not sure. It doesn’t matter a whole lot but it seems to only happen with this class
This is definitely one of the most fun classes in the game. I used FMJ quite a lot until mid game. As for ideas for the next class to cover, a Troubadour guide would be appreciated. I would love to see how an optimized one syncs well with Signifier.
This class seemed instantly amazing as soon as I got it, and I know for sure this is the one class my buddy is likely to go for when he plays because he has an obsession with dual gun wielding...and cloaked characters too as a matter of fact. Unrelated but it was a...fun experience, sneaking through lower maktha wildwoods with my lvl 42 party, making my way down to where the superboss is past the gate puzzle and grabbing the special item because they put a climbable wall there and I could tank exactly one hit, abusing the invincibility from landing on a climbable wall. Accessing late things early through dumb obsession ftw!
Same. Except I couldn't tank a hit, so I let the AI attack it and draw aggro while I ran for the vines. If I see shiny item, I want to get shiny item, level 105 superboss be damned!
When he said "i have been very lazy" when he was talking about the legendary thermo headgear i actually had a laugh. With all the work you have done for the community with these concise guides, lazy is hardly a word that befits you good sir. Keep up the good work!
You know they managed to balance this game good when they managed to make something of Elma’s linage be only pretty good rather than outright overpowered
Amazing guide as always. On a side note, i just realized yesterday how effective it is to share the skill that increases damage depending on the buffs active on the party between Eunie's and Taion's Ouroboros skill tree. His big rock attack went from 900k damage in my case to almost 3M every time in a chain attack finisher.
The single reason I've got Eunie being my DPS is this class. I used it, SO MUCH midgame on eunie and taion and it was INSANE seeing Taion casually have 201 tp at one point. it wasn't til I finally went back in early chapter 5- before getting to Cadensia- that I actually got incursor, but FMJ STILL remains one of my fav. classes to control. also Eunie with dual guns is epic. Eunie has the best interactions with the Heroes she has S ranks with
If we could get a guide for Lost Vanguard or Strategos next that would be great, as those are some of the few mixed classes in the game and it might be interesting to see how well they can be optimized
Finished the game 2 nights ago and unlocked all the classes. I love FMJ and even though I Ranked 20 this class with Noah, Mio, and Sena. I found myself having SENA run this class the most compared to the other two.
Of course Best Girl Eunie gets S-Rank aptitude for the sickest weapon. On an unrelated note, I love how Gray passive-aggressively suggests the party should eat through running canteen recon.
Was about to comment on the video that came out if you could do this class I’m really enjoying it a lot already maxed it out on two characters keep up the videos enel
I recall seeing an accessory that prevents blocking or evasion when canceling arts, which seemed perfect for player-controlled FMJs, unless it only ignores perfect evasion and doesn't help solve natural misses, which is quite possible since I haven't tested it.
Allow me to say something maybe controversial- Overall is great not because it's Ether or because it's a good ratio, and especially not because of the e. defense debuff- It's the fact that its animation is among the fastest in the game, and with a low cooldown, it makes it probably the fastest art for building up Agnus arts. now if only as you said, we have an ultimate Qigong for Ether...
I have to say kind sir that your guide for FMJ works like a charm. As i'm still early in the game (despite being overleveled intentionally) and i don't have the necessary skills, gems and accessories, i tried to mirror yours closely and it pays off. The damage that i'm dishing *whistles*
A guide to knowing what classes to upgrade first would be nice. Could be 2 videos: a Skill tier list and a Art/Master Art tier list. So we know what are the most useful arts and skills to unlock overall. I can tell by watching other videos that Thaumaturge is very good to get to level 5 and Ogre to level 10 for physical attackers for example. Or Tacticians to level 10 for ether attackers.
A true cheese setup I found for FMJ is to run as much crit rate as possible with eye for weak points for the 100% boost to crit rate and crit rate up accessories, frenzied combo since the recharge on that is based off hits rather than the art itself (meaning if all hits of demolition are crits you get to use it again immediately,) then pairing it with the accessory that gives +50% recharge speed as well as someone running Troubadour for the fast recharge field. Pairing all of that with master arts like wide slash and jackal claw and having quickdraw set as one of the class arts for full guaranteed evasion with fusion arts was really funny. I only classify it as cheese though because it basically means you stay in front of the enemy you’re fighting at all times and the damage is not that great, but it’s super funny watching enemies try to hit he and failing all the time. Love the guide though, keep up the great work! I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on lone exile next since it’s my personal favorite tank class
There's definitely some very funny setups like this in the game that just don't have killing power sadly. One of the really funny ones is multiple soulhacks with the skill that restores everyone to full hp when you die and you can kinda get an infinite loop going as long as you revive faster than the next character dies.
As the community is still figuring out so many things about this game, it might be nice to make another video at the end of all these individual guides to go over some of the corrections and changes that you would make to your previous builds. Stuff like Ultimate Qigong, or different Master Arts for instance. Or maybe just add a pinned comment. Furthermore, something of a tierlist of the strongest Skills in the game might be nice. There are a bunch of good damage boosting skills, but it's difficult to decide between Fighting Prowess, Critical Strike, Universal Annihilation, Eye for Weak Points, Dynamite Spirit, Ultimate Qigong, et cetera. So a tierlist ranking which skills are best for Attackers, Healers and Defenders would give a great general overview! Keep up the great work, Enel, I've been loving these guides
I had a lot of fun with martial artist with focus basically allowing me to stutter step like in xenoblade 2 (especially in the water since you stop moving immediately while swimming) so I'd like to see what you have to say about that class
Martial artist is probably my favorite attacker ngl. Love the design and the ultimate. Can hit stupid numbers I'm surprised it wasn't higher in Enel tier list.
I'll like a Troubadour Guide bc for some reason I find it a hard class to know how to setup good same with Yumsmith, and Martial Artist and Seraph bc I like to play them a lot; Incursor and Flash Fencer looks like a begginer friendly classes to explain too.
I was pretty happy using the accessory that boosts accuracy by 5% per miss, up to 50% total. FMJ fires so many shots so fast that it caps very quickly, basically ensuring no misses for the rest of the fight (perhaps barring exceptionally high level boss challenges that I haven't tried yet). That seems to synergize well with the passives.
I've stopped using FMJ for a while since I maxed everyone (lv10) with it, but using FMJ is still by far the most fun I've had in combat. Being able to unload a massive amount of damage and then Dead Set right as aggro switches is so satisfying. I also haven't been able to find any Attacker class that can rack up TP nearly as quickly in chain attacks, since each hit of an art appears to have a chance to generate a bonus TP independently, and FMJ has a lot of multi-hit arts. Even if it's not the strongest class, I'll definitely be running it again once I unlock the level cap!
Thanks for the video! As for the order of the next guides, why not do them in descending order from your tier list? People definitely will want your builds and see why you consider them to be the top classes! Personally hoping for Incursor, Seraph and Troubadour!
Hey Enel, here is a name idea for a that "studder-stepping" technique for higher-evasion enemies: "Quick-Attacks" As you're chaining the Quick dash move and auto-attacks together!
>Eunie's based, so I'm going to be stubborn and unoptimal. Based. Playing meta with a smidge of your favorite slightly unoptimal stuff is easily the most fun way to play.
This came out at the perfect time as I only got up to the point that I can unlock this last night. Edit: Eunie may be the worst choice for the class, but she's the correct choice :|
I LOVE this class. My endgame team has Taion running FMJ with the smash master art attached to demolition. I’ve been using him to remove ludicrous chunks from the unique monsters in the final dungeon, especially during chain attacks. So much fun!
Btw, I was playing around with FMJ and I found that Frenzied combo from martial artist + fatal barrage + mob fights = infinite art cancels & really fast talent art buildup
Love your guides! A vid discussing heroes would be interesting - I find some of their chain attack orders hard to understand. I just use Valdi/Fiona because they’re my faves lol Also looking forward to your troubadour and incursor guides. Incursor especially I’m not sure if I use right - sometime the damage seems just okay then randomly the numbers become huge
I didn't really have much use for Eunie in my party when I first started the game, but then Full Metal Jaguar happened. It's definitely one of my favorite classes between how much damage you rack up and how cool you look doing it.
@@EnelXC I wasn't sure how major they are, it's pretty hard to find this information online without being spoiled. I'm kinda shocked it'd be minor, but if it is then I guess I can just roll with whatever classes! Thanks for the clarity
Love the guides Enel, thanks for all your work. Would love to see an in-depth guide for Seraph. It's my favorite class, but I feel like I haven't been able to get the most out of it yet because of its gimmick. Along with that, have you been able to figure out how DOTs (Blaze, Bleed, etc) work exactly in this game?
New players: There is another, more useful build for Full Metal Jaguar that does carry extremely well into the late/post-game. Obviously the one in the video is still a really awesome build for the class, just like it was when it was made, but, as it turns out, FMJ is actually an excellent evasion tank when controlled by the player. You will need: “Eye for Weaknesses” skill from Incursor “Frenzied Combo” from Martial Artist “Protector’s Pride” from Guardian Commander The first increases crit rate, the second causes arts to recharge quickly on critical hits from the same art, and the last causes arts to recharge faster when defenders are not targeted. For arts, you want to make sure you have: Quickdraw on the Kevesi side (The rest can be whatever, although Dead Set probably isn’t necessary) and Jackal Claw (Martial Artist), Aerial Slash (Incursor) Ring ‘O Roses (Troubadour) on the Agnian side, with Ring ‘O Roses fusing with Quickdraw. Basically, Quickdraw, Aerial Slash, and Jackal Claw will guarantee evasion of all enemy attacks and arts while the art animation plays, and Ring ‘O Roses is a field art that causes arts to recharge faster. What you end up with is a character that, after a few moments of canceling and building up crit rate, will never run out of art charge and therefore will be 100% untouchable at all times while outputting a gazillion damage and keeping Aggro because they are supposed to be an attacker class. This works (and honestly really only makes sense) in the late/post-game, so you can keep gunslinging right on through the superbosses and Realm of Challenges while you wait for X to get a port to Switch/Switch 2. Elma awaits.
the bullet sympohony passive skill is stacking based on hits, so after using the fatal barrage, which have more than 10hits, you automatically stack the passive to near full 255%.(if no misses)
If you went all in on accuracy and evasion, removed defenders from the party, use a troubadour, and use the accessory that boosts recharge when non defenders are targeted, a player controlled FMJ would honestly probably be the best evasion tank
I don't expect a guide on it soon but a detailed guide on the 2nd post game class would be helpful. I'm not sure how the elements work and would love a guide!
It may fall off as an offensive class, but as a defensive class? Oh boy. Seriously, give it Protector's Pride, Frenzied Combo, Eye For Eye Weakness, Fraternal Badge, 2 evade Master Arts and Ring O Roses and even the final battle in Challenge Mode will be nothing. Yeah, I think it's safe to say this class makes a better dodge tank than the actual dodge tanks.
Eunie's attack strategy
Step 1: Hit 'em
Step 2: Hit 'em again
Step 3: Repeat until enemy is dead

I've stopped using FMJ for a while since I maxed everyone (lv10) with it, but using FMJ is still by far the most fun I've had in combat. Being able to unload a massive amount of damage and then Dead Set right as aggro switches is so satisfying. I also haven't been able to find any Attacker class that can rack up TP nearly as quickly in chain attacks, since each hit of an art appears to have a chance to generate a bonus TP independently, and FMJ has a lot of multi-hit arts. Even if it's not the strongest class, I'll definitely be running it again once I unlock the level cap!
Dude I just unlocked Gray like 2 hours ago wondering when you would get to FMJ in your class guides. Keep up the great work Enel.
"Anyway, Eunie is based, so I will be stubborn and un-optimal".
Enel respect up.
The legendary thermo headgear drops from besieger sheritt, by the way.
Would like to see some whole team setups that work well together. Also great work Enel, thank you for your works!
Thanks for the video! As for the order of the next guides, why not do them in descending order from your tier list? People definitely will want your builds and see why you consider them to be the top classes!
Personally hoping for Incursor, Seraph and Troubadour!
Hey Enel, here is a name idea for a that "studder-stepping" technique for higher-evasion enemies: "Quick-Attacks"
As you're chaining the Quick dash move and auto-attacks together!
>Eunie's based, so I'm going to be stubborn and unoptimal.
Based. Playing meta with a smidge of your favorite slightly unoptimal stuff is easily the most fun way to play.
"Akshually, Noah has the highest att-"
Shshshshsh shaddup. Eunie's the boss, the boss with guns, yus
This came out at the perfect time as I only got up to the point that I can unlock this last night.
Edit: Eunie may be the worst choice for the class, but she's the correct choice :|
I'd look forward to a Lone Exiler guide. It's by far my favorite tank class
the legendary version of thermo headgear comes from the keves mech unique monster on the urayan trail pass
Thank you so much. I've had two copies and have been meaning to go get more since I got to postgame
I think Gray has a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X in his house.
Enel: Eunie is based-
Taion: Based on what?
Imagine Sharla using guns like these instead of that overheating Rifle. There I said it.
Bold statement
So..sharla, but she doesn't utterly suck??
Don't worry, she will find a way to overheat the guns as well
@@david_8916 oof
Love your guides! A vid discussing heroes would be interesting - I find some of their chain attack orders hard to understand. I just use Valdi/Fiona because they’re my faves lol
Also looking forward to your troubadour and incursor guides. Incursor especially I’m not sure if I use right - sometime the damage seems just okay then randomly the numbers become huge
I would want to see the Incursor class guide next
19:15 probably the most damage I’ve seen in one place. Holy shit!
good work, Eunie is sparking based indeed
Giving Eunie guns is fun and all but you know what's even more fun? Turning her into Dunban (Lone Exile guide when)
Very insightful guide, thank you !
As for guides, I wonder what's the best setup possible for War Medic
“Don’t stray from your path. That’s what I’m here for.”
Another great guid hopefully you do flash fencer next
Hello Greay From Xenoblade 3
Hello Reaper from Overwatch
I didn't really have much use for Eunie in my party when I first started the game, but then Full Metal Jaguar happened. It's definitely one of my favorite classes between how much damage you rack up and how cool you look doing it.
bullet symphony is such a sick skill. really cool concept for a class
You mentioned that Eunie has the lowest base attack, if you could I would love a video about what each of the 6 excels at based on their best stats!
I mean the stat differences are mostly pretty minor tbh lol
YES! Or even just a post summarizing it quickly. Their S classes are so all over the place it's hard to tell at a glance.
@@EnelXC I wasn't sure how major they are, it's pretty hard to find this information online without being spoiled. I'm kinda shocked it'd be minor, but if it is then I guess I can just roll with whatever classes! Thanks for the clarity
Eunie with a Gun. Truly a Based Icon.
You gotta love the mans consistency, last episode he mispronounces qigong, this time barrage at around 7:00 (just a joke btw ly enel)
You will need:
“Eye for Weaknesses” skill from Incursor
“Frenzied Combo” from Martial Artist
“Protector’s Pride” from Guardian Commander
The first increases crit rate, the second causes arts to recharge quickly on critical hits from the same art, and the last causes arts to recharge faster when defenders are not targeted.
For arts, you want to make sure you have:
Quickdraw on the Kevesi side
(The rest can be whatever, although Dead Set probably isn’t necessary)
and
Jackal Claw (Martial Artist),
Aerial Slash (Incursor)
Ring ‘O Roses (Troubadour) on the Agnian side, with Ring ‘O Roses fusing with Quickdraw.
I like this class, I love multi hit attacks and so this delivers pretty well.
The winds blow hard in December
Would love a video on martial artist. Definitely the most fun class to me, and would love to see some of the really powerful strategies on it
the bullet sympohony passive skill is stacking based on hits, so after using the fatal barrage, which have more than 10hits, you automatically stack the passive to near full 255%.(if no misses)
If you went all in on accuracy and evasion, removed defenders from the party, use a troubadour, and use the accessory that boosts recharge when non defenders are targeted, a player controlled FMJ would honestly probably be the best evasion tank
This class is awesome. Eunie is awesome. I don't care if it is not optimal play.
The spanish description of bullet symphony is wrong and it says it boosts crit rate by 20 % succesfull attack
Awesome stuff! Can’t wait to play this class maxed out. Random question but what is the fire icon that are on these unique enemies held the bars?
It is the point where they enter the enrage state. If you lower their health to that point they become enraged and change their attacks and/or AI.
it probably wouldn't have been as good without overdrive but man I kinda wish they gave us ghostwalker again
I swear im always getting lol ptsd when watching these guides
I love this class just for the Xenoblade X callback
Ah yes my favorite anime, Fullmetal Jaguar Brotherhood
