      I've got a glass matte protector. It does a great job but you might find less friction than the Paperlike film. The one I have is Klearlook. I'm in the UK and it cost me £10.99. Hope this is helpful.

    Pro tip: just get the icarez screen protector. It’s the same thing. I’ve used both and tbh... paperlike is overrated and overpriced af. Icarez has served me well for around a year or so now, btw they’re both Matte screen protectors so they’ll scratch eventually if you constantly use them. I make weekly manga from my iPad and icarez has held up extremely well. This sounds like a sponsor lol... to keep it short icarez and paperlike are the same, just that icarez isn’t $40 oh and you get 2 screen protectors from icarez not just one. They’re both just matte Films so there’s little to no difference...

      Hi Yofu, thank you for your tip! my main question with other matte screen protector brands is on the apple pencil tip- how is your apple pencil tip holding up? do you see any wear on it while using icarez?
      The paperlike comes with 2 sheets so after i used the second sheet i am interested to try some other brands. Thank you for your suggestion! :)

Should I buy a paper-like screen to start with, but not from paperlike itself, but from eg alliexpress, and then switch to glass when I'm used to writing on the ipad, or should I use glass right away?

      apple pencil itself is designed to never scratch the screen, been using mine for over a year now with no scratch. However, small particles like debris or sand might get stuck on the pencil nib(if it's worn out) and scratch the screen. Hence it's encouraged to use a flip cover for your ipad to prevent particles getting on it while not using.

      @ashmi08 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! So, a lot of people, and like a lot buy a matte screen protector especially if they are using it to draw. In my personal opinion, I prefer a glass screen protector because it will not scratch your screen like the matte screen protector, and it will not nib your pencil tip down. A matte one is better for drawing and is more comfortable, but I also draw, and you will get used to the glass feel. Also, the matte one kind of makes the colors on your screen a little less bright, while the glass screen protector keeps the same exact color because it is glass. I hope this helped!!

    This has little or nothing to do with what you are reviewing, so ignore it!
    But, in case you don't ignore it: you have a most interesting grip on the pencil. I've never seen anyone use two fingers on top of the stylus. I tried it and it feels awkward to me. My second grade teacher used to rap my hands because I didn't hold the pencil correctly, but I'd bet she would have broken your fingers!!
    Despite that, your writing is very clear and easy to read --- far superior to mine!
    Strange observation, I'm sure. Well; back to the review, for which -- thanks!

    • @LLANATIME
      @LLANATIME  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No prob. Some other people have also commented on it. I do wish that someone corrected it when i was a kid because it does take more tight grip to hold the pencil like this and thus the hand gets tired faster. Going with paperlike scares me about wearing of pencil tip which means spending more money on tips ,and going with glass one makes me think about not having control while i draw and write because the main reason i got ipad is for note taking and digital art. What do i doooo?? :(((

    I ve been watching paperlike videos for my ipad and I realized Americans hold the pencil very different than us. I feel like you re holding the pencil so tight that it would make your hands sweaty.

      you are right! i wish i could hold pens differently because my hand gets tired fast! but i am so used to holding it like this 😭😭😭😭

      I think the pencil hold depends on each person. I personally write a bit more loosely lol, but it depends

      @@mikah1019 ofc it is not the same with everyone but I feel like first grade teachers don’t do much to improve holding pencil. Or they hold it like that too

    Is it okay to use bare screen for drawing? Or the pencil will scratch the bare screen? Thank you

    ANOTHER EXCELLENT VIDEO REVIEW/LOVE THE COMPARISON! THANK YOU! You certainly hold your pencil in a very interesting way/position. I, too, am an artist, and have never, ever seen anyone hold a stylus/pencil/Apple Pencil, this way. Do you also draw like this, and does it feel natural to you. Highly unusual hand positioning. But, hey, whatever works best for you/or anyone. JUST DRAW/CREATE/WRITE AWAY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL, HAVE FUN! (DO YOU HAVE A HAND DISABILITY OR IS THIS JUST HOW YOU NORMALLY DRAW/WRITE?) JUST CURIOUS/NOT CRITICAL, MAY EVEN TRY THIS HAND POSITIONING MYSELF!
    P.S.
    If you ever get a glass screen protector, I'd love to see a review from you on that! How good are glass protectors, have you ever tried one, does one also, get the same horrible end result after using those for months! (WEAR AND SCRATCHES, OF SUCH A SEVERE NATURE? YES/NO?)
    Sadly, this type of protector, really appears to defeat the whole attraction/reasons/purpose, of a retina screen, (which is image enhancement/crystal clarity), as it certainly distorts the underlying images. I know myself, that I can't even stand finger prints on any screen, I am looking at, never mind hundreds of thousands of scratches to look through/past, to see the real image/art. I, too, also, am awaiting an order of paper like screens, and now, I, am not sure it was a smart investment. Should I continue to use them, after owning Paperlike screens, I, shall look for the best and cheapest replacements. (AFTER ORDERING, (UNFORTUNATELY, SHOULD HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH ON THESE, THOROUGHLY, FIRST, I HAVE SEEN MANY REVIEWS, STATING THAT PAPERLIKE PRODUCTS ARE WAY OVER-PRICED, BY HALF OR MORE, REGARDING THEIR PRICES, FOR THEIR PRODUCTS! DON'T KNOW WHY I DIDN'T DO MORE RESEARCH, I'M A RESEARCH JUNKIE, BEFORE I EVER, BUY ANYTHING ELSE! LOW COST OF THIS ITEM, WHICH IS REALLY A HIGH COST IN COMPARISON TO OTHERS, THREW ME OFF OF MY REVIEWING GAME! FROM NOW ON, I THOROUGHLY RESEARCH EVERY OTHER ITEM I PURCHASE, RELATED TO IPADS/ETC. IT'LL BE NICE TO HAVE THESE, BUT I'M KICKING MYSELF, FOR PAYING SO MUCH, ACCORDING TO OTHER REVIEWS! PAPERLIKE, APPEARS TO BE GOUGING PEOPLE ON THESE, COMPARED TO OTHER BRANDS, WHICH MANY CLAIM, ARE JUST AS GOOD, OR BETTER, FOR LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE TAG, OF PAPERLIKE'S COMPANY! THIS SOMETIMES HAPPENS WHEN ONE IS NEW TO THE PURCHASE OF PRODUCT! THIS, WILL ALSO GO ON THE FIRST IPAD I, HAVE PURCHASED AND AM AT PRESENT, EAGERLY AWAITING THE DELIVERY OF! NEWBIE, LACK OF KNOWLEDGE! HAVE NEVER EVEN USED AN IPAD YET, BUT, BEEN WANTING ONE FOR A LONG TIME! HEY MAN, WE ALL LEARN AS WE GO! RIGHT! I'LL BE MUCH SMARTER/MORE INFORMED WHEN I BUY MY NEXT IPAD, LATER ON DOWN THE IPAD ROAD! LOL! AT LEAST I HOPE I'LL BE SMARTER! LOL!)

      I just naturally hold pens like this! It’s not the best way to hold in fact, because you put more pressure when writing and hands get tired faster. I tried to change to a ‘proper way’ but i am so used to holding it like this 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh well.
      After this protector, i am willing to try a matte glass protector! Maybe i will make a review once again later then :)

    Hello, I'm from Thailand, I used to use matte film. And I don't like the color drop. So I switched to glass film. Which is very slippery It makes me misaligned. So I decided that I would remove it. And do not use any film I think it should have the right slippery. Should I or should I not?
