I think this is the soul magic thats referenced in MK11 and that explains how Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung are so powerful.

Tru, but you gotta remember midway games made the fuckery we all know as UMK3, Armageddon, deception and even shaolin monks. Netherrealm did good, taking the mantle but I do agree with this plothole
Only workaround that would’ve left some people bitching is to just take the powers out altogether, and have them come at the right time but then again, each chapter is a diff character. This is what happens with a game that has so many instalments and lore to follow.
I have to imagine is a different thing. Johnny has never had some sort of "buff" special move, so maybe hes talking about enveloping himself on the green glow and not chucking it or using it for kicks and punches, but a permanent thing sorrownding his body. It's still confusing, but its the best ive got right now. I just feel like "bad story writting" its too lazy an explanation, and we all know everyone in MK has some sort of power either naturally or acquired via technology (Like Sonya's pink power thing and Jax's ultra arms)
I love interactions between 1990's Johnny & 2010's Johnny. It really shows how far the character has come & changed without completely losing everything he was before.
its called character development... something hollywood seems to have forgotten, for the most part, in 2019.

So how can he fight then? He can see because of some spirit sht bcoz in mkx balanced or kenjustu his eyes are blue bcoz he can sense spirits so he can basically see

People are complaining about Johnny not knowing about his powers despite using them in gameplay as if gameplay/story segregation hasn’t been a thing for decades.
Meanwhile, not enough people are talking about Present!Johnny interacting with Past!Johnny.
So guess this means that canonically players shouldn’t use any of his moves that involve his energy in the 3 fights proceeding this one or for the entirety of his chapter in MK9.

Why some people in the comment section are bashing at how bad the graphics looks in mk10? It doesn't look that great because of the video only supports 720P the actual game support up to 1440p 60fps so if you have a true 4K TV if you have a FHD TV the game will output 1080p 60fps and the game looks amazing it's just the video quality that makes the graphics look bad😉👍

Merkderp Yolo the only game Takeda appears in is MKX which is this one. Whatever you heard Scorpion said probably took place in another character’s ending so that was an alternate timeline
