I really like that you showcased that as good as the Sawtooth mat is, it's not for larger gold. Caught right up in the VDR mat below. Really interesting to see. Also, gold floating. Most people show the teeny gold floating, but there was absolutely decent flakes floating around. People trying this out for the first time should have learned a lot today!

I am about ready to test run my setup for the beach and the flour gold we have here in southern Michigan. Like you, I watched Freddy Dodge and took his idea of giving gold different types of places to fall out in. The top is 1/8" punch plate with a spray bar. Then to a 3 stack gold cube with Sawtooth Mat, then into a 11.5" sluice with the gold cube VDR mat, then narrowed down to about 9" to go over mini Dream mat then over miner moss and small expanded. I will use the end miner moss to gauge loses and adjust the system. Yes I have to much time on my hands but this starting setup will help me define what matting works best.
Would love to hook up with ya Todd, I'm also lower mich. Jackson , have lots of equipment just itching to be beat up and abused. 😅😂. Thinking of going north this weekend.

In Iowa Friday they underestimated the high temperature by 20 degrees, then we got the biggest batch of hail I've ever seen covering my lawn like snow, and the temperature "plunged" to 68, still higher than they predicted.
I don't believe i've ever seen you so excited. Glad you didn't get any of that "Nador Juice". Won't be long and we'll be seeing you back on your beach.

500 bucks not worth the time , 1500 maybe would initiate someone to build something similar . But then you have to watch for patents and legalities not to mention hiring someone to make the sluice . I'm out . Jayson maybe you could pitch this on The Shark Den and gets some rich millionaire to give you a couple bucks 😁

Oh ya... I've seen the April rewards and once again awesome... the 3" cleanup sluice has the aluminum rails underneath it... my 6" model has those on it... but my 3" did not come with those... was it supposed to have those on it, or did you add those to your 3"... I messaged infinity about this and never got a answer... I got the rails to do it but I was inquiring as to the type of adhesive that they use so I can add them... but no response...
@Flour gold Wizards oh I just got mine back in August... didn't have any rails and just bends over what ever I place it on and messes up the water flow... I guess they missed that part during manufacturing it... . i have been resorting to placing it inside the 6" model for the support... what adhesive did you use?

Hey Wiz I’m heading for Nome for the summer. Beach flour gold. Keene has recommended expanded metal riffles with moss below instead of mats of any sort. Sluice is 24” x 6 feet. I plan on making extension of 6 feet in field with mats . What would be your recommendation for the extension.? Or continue with expanded metal like regular mining operations as Keene recommends for flat flour gold?
Those type mats would probably be fine up there, they don’t have the same type black sand we have . Miners moss and riffles at the beach here would clog up in 5 minutes!
Jason, what would you think would be the ideal metal screen hole size for your beach box there? I think I got some stiff material that has holes smaller than an 1/8 inch you can try if you'd like.
Great testing video. I recently customized a 8×24" mini banker to clean up cons. I like gutter screen and expanded raised metal over ribbed carpet.. i don't need to classify and very little makes it to the bottom at 800gph.. it's cheap too lol😅
