That spot must be out there a ways...trout swimming in a pool with the road in sight....we have to walk at least a mile before the paths end.... right where the chubs stop and the trout start lo.l
Slayer Mike....if you truly love fishing and are happy doing it then Do Not pick up a gold pan. I have top quality fishing gear summer/ winter, boat with high quality electronics, all of it. Knew every spawn and summer pattern, did tournaments, fished for money all winter. Then I picked up a gold pan and googled it.....haven't fished since 2016 and cannot look at a stream like I did when I fished. I do miss it but would rather pan lol !🍻 Choose wisely!

Next trip bring a 2x10 to put your bucket on keep that bucket centered on it above the water just in case water is high next time you get the opertunity to go bring a 4 foot walker and a saw
To adjust the height
Ps start at the deep end so you don't have to stretch that plank
And ya your gonna get wet

Hey Jason here’s an idea for you when you’re doing Culvert gold you take a 2 x 6 that’s about 3 foot long and said that inside the culvert and you can set your bucket right on top of it so that it’s out of the water or you can do a 2 x 10 then you don’t have to worry about your bucket tipping over nice video and A combination of different ways to do gold is also on a break from the regular Sluicing good job bud out for now

One trick for cleaning out culverts is bring a pair of 1x8’s with and block the upstream flow off ! Of course this only works with more than one culvert !!

Awesome job out there brother the third place look like a good place to take your high banker once you get all your test panning done and find a good location some of them spots weren't too bad though good enough for me lol but a lot of the areas that I get to work the square footage is numbered so it is what it is lol 😆

Dan heard runs his with the electric pump in a recirculating bin up on the banks and then bucket feeds it it's a shame that you guys ain't able to do the same cuz man you would pull out quite a bit with your numbers 🤘🇺🇸⛏️

I had an idea of taking 2 buckets and filling the bottom of one with lead shot then stacking in the second one so it's weighted. Idk if it would be better but I always gave to chase buckets when I'm buy myself working in the middle of creeks haha

Earn your subscription... sounds like you've been watching Dan Hurd's videos :P I've seen Dan do something you might want to try sometime.. he classified into his pan, panned it out until he had a small amount left in his pan and then classified more in on top of it and kept doing that over and over and over. I think your pan is big enough to pull that off. It's sort of like turning your pan into a rocker box sluice in a way.
I’ve done that!!!! It works ok,,, just makes ya nervous after 10 or so pans ….
My experience with fishing tells me that when you see trout that your not likely going to find clay as they are very intolerant of murky water . Great day out with your poochy !

Little tip on them culverts Jason just like putting a pan at the bottom of your Sluice to see if you are missing anything ! Make a natural catch basin just a IDEA

Watch out for those culverts some times oh henry bars have been known to float down them . 🤣🤣sometimes to you'll find a nugget in them if you bust them open

NEED TO CUT A 2X10 AND MAKE A WALL ON THE IN SIDE. THAT WILL MAKE IT 20 INCHES TALL. WHICH WILL DIRECT ALL THE WATER TO GO TO THE OTHER CULVERT. THEN SWITCH IT AND DO THE OTHER ONE. WAIT A FEW MONTHS THEN COME BACK AND DO IT AGAIN.
