Hi 8Bit, Thank you very much on taking my request for a Neo-Geo upload onto your channel. You have an awesome Neo Geo Arcade Stick pro and glad it's to your liking. Excellent choice of having Magician Lord has the soundtrack in the video. I posted this up on The Official NEO-GEO Thread for others to take notice on your upload that you shared. The members and guest will certainly enjoy on what you have to say on the forums at AtariAge bro. Thank you for sharing this and keep up the good work for sure. 8^) Anthony..
You're welcome 8Bit. A pleasure doing so and glad you're familiar with AtariAge. Would you be thinking of doing more Neo-Geo uploads in the future? Maybe a possibile video of the Neo-Geo ports that were on the Game Boy by Takara? Those were well made by the developer. Anthony..
Oh wow! That's great to know 8bit. Would you be interested on doing a future upload regarding the Neo Geo Pocket Color? Would be interesting to listen in on what you have to say about it. 8^) Anthony..
Well I used to have an Neo Geo Pocket and then I got rid of it and I greatly regret it. So I recently got a Japanese version. It is such an amazing system and I don't think it gets the attention it deserves
And all the more reasons to help make a dedicated video towards it to keep the unit fresh into gamers mind on how awesome it is for them to own one for their collection. 8^) Seeing that your Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro video is doing good with view counts...I feel a dedicated Neo Geo Pocket Color upload would do just as well bro. 8^) Anthony..
Well personally I don't hack my emulator consoles. I keep them stock but I have a retropie which is basically one big hack. After doing a couple of minutes of Google research, I was able to find out that there is a hack available for this called the "hylostick pro v1.3". I have not installed it, I have not run it, and I don't know where to find it. But if you want to research such things, that is what a couple minutes of Google searches uncovered. Personally, I'd rather use this as an external controller for my retropie. That way I can also use it for non-neogeo arcade games.
@@8bitjoystick shit , this Adapter is very expensive here in europe . I will resell this shit ofbarcade Stick and continue on emulators with my other arcade Controller wo is compatible on alot of Systems without this shit Adapters.
Yeah that's why my big complaints about it. Especially since the popularity of the PlayStation 4 and the fact that they've updated it a couple times via firmware.
Pretty cool video. I would only add that probably the *best way* to play Neo Geo is in a real MVS Arcade (followed next by playing on AES with a Sony PVM). I got a question: which DAC or converter did you use to connect the Stick Pro on the Toshiba CRT tv?
I got a little "Amazon Basics" hdmi to AV converter that only sent me back $6 because it was used. "Best" is subjective and I think it includes value. Well, if you look at the cost of an AES or even a consolized MVS and how much cartridges would cost for 40 games I don't think it would cover the convenience of having a dedicated mini console that is made by SNK. Of course you can also use this as an external controller for other systems like a retropie. I don't have the space to go down the MVS or AES cartridge collecting rabbit hole quite yet. And I can't morally justified the financial cost of Neo Geo cartridges. But for a follow-up video, I'll have to make a spreadsheet of how much it would cost to buy each of these games on eBay. Personally, I'm not a fan of Sony flat tubes. I prefer the look of a JVC D-series because it's got a big old bubble tube and it actually feels more like an arcade Then the flat Sony stuff.
Good to see you again 8bit.

@@Charlie-Cat. Thank you. Atari age is quite literally one of the oldest and most well-respected forums on retro games on the internet
Excellent. Looking forward on seeing and sharing it for others to enjoy 8bit. Thank you as always bro. 8^)

I will let you know when I get to it.

Well I also have a Neo Geo pocket color and some games and a flash drive for it
nice liking the joystick.
Thank you. It's a joystick, it's a console, it's both

Is there a way to mod this thing to add more Neo Geo games

Is there a way to conect this on ps4 without that adaptor ?
Nope. The PS4 and PS5 will not see the stick. It is a shame.

Do you get any added input lag with the hdmi to composite converter? Is it downscaling to 480i or 240p?
@@wink721 None that I noticed. It was way easier to go from HDMI to RCA AV than the other way around.
