as a long time Bastard fan sad about how dead the manga is I love that it's come back in some regard. I hated this anime the first time I watched through it. but I think it grew on me, I rewatched it and loved it

Man the nostalgic Blinded fans are so annoying it’s hilarious. If your only arguments are ItS NoT GoOD aS CoMpArEd to The OrIginal! Season 1 is not even over. We’re getting a second cour later this year. This was perfect to reel new fans in like me. Also for the weirdos who say Netflix ruined the anime they had absolutely 0 influence over creating or producing the reboot. All they have is streaming rights.
As someone whos watched the original and read all of the manga I legit enjoy this one better since it actually follows the manga and doesn't skip anything. Like the thing with the old version that I can see people liking more is the fact its less ecchi(yet the manga is really ECCHI) cause it pretty much skips over em and since things were skipped we just get more action. And the fact the old school 90's animation was great (I ain't gonna lie it was dope lmaoo) but even so the newer version feels more like the manga which to me was already a plus and the fact the ost rocks to.

Also, in some instances famous musicians just are wholesale there, like King Diamond is in the anime as a vampire named Count Di-Amon.

No, Netflix did not animate this. Liden Films did this series, Warner Brothers produced it, and Netflix bought the streaming rights. This is how most of their anime "originals" are. They just buy the rights to be the sole streaming platform of the anime, and have no large say in the production of the anime itself.

I have to watch this in Japanes which kinda hurts because the original OVA DS's english voice actor was sooo perfect. This English actor hurts my eyes, my ears, my soul. F Netflix for downgrading the animation quality and f*#@ing up the voice of the best character out of ANYTHING ANYWHERE.
Ironic you would say that cuz the manga for Bastard!! inspired one of MK's competitors Guilty Gear, as directly stated by Daisuke in an interview. He said he was reading Bastard!! while in college and it gave him the idea for Guilty Gear.
