    I'm Turkish and i study master's degree in France. My fiance, who host me at his home throughout my studies, is a French citizen and we want to get married in August. I am currently in Italy due to Erasmus mobility so it makes difficult something. I have to be present in order to present the documents to the municipality with my fiance. Also, the process looks very long, it takes 1 month for the documents to be processed and an appointment could only be made after 1 month. The situation seems very complicated. Please help i need your suggestions. By the way thank you for the video and you gained a new subscriber!

      Yes the process is long I can't say otherwise... Thankfully Italy is quitte close to France my husband needed to fly from Bosnia for every appointment 😏
      I would advise you to contact turkish ambassady to get some advice from them. Also if you need any info ask me sometimes ambassades can be very stupid and wrong you. We went through the all process we are still fixing some things there are a LOT papers to do so if you need do not hesitate to ask me. I don't know if you are planning to live in France after this but the process is also SOMETHING 😅 so know you have someone that can help you if you need anything 😊

      Salut Justine, thank you very much for your reply. You are such a sincere and kind person.😊I had such a busy time that I couldn't reply to your comment 😪
      Well, I returned to France 2 weeks ago from Italy and we finally managed to complete the marriage file. However, there is a serious problem and I need your urgent advice on this matter. My fiancé had prepared an "Attestation d'hébergement" for me stating that he would host me at his home between 25 August 2023 and 30 September 2024, and thus I received a visa. When I arrived in France, I stayed at my fiancé's house for 1 month. However, since it was so far from university, so I moved to the university dormitory on October 1 2023. Then, due to the mandatory Erasmus mobility in my program, I left the dormitory on February 1, 2024 and stayed with my fiance's home for a while and then went to Italy at the end of February. Of course, I officialy stayed in a house here and after Erasmus ended, I returned to France to my fiancé's house on July 6th.
      When we went to present the file to the Mairie, we did not show the "Attestation d'hébergement" document written by my fiancé, but the document stating that I would initially stay in the university dormitory between October 1st and August 31st. However, I wrote my fiancé's home address in the "Attestation sur l'honneur" document. ((I couldn't write the address where I stayed in the dormitory here because I officially left)) It was written that the file was completed, my fiancé said that the file was now accepted and there would be no problem. Because if we stated that I left the dormitory in February and went to Italy, we would be requested additional documents and the process would be longer. (Actually i had my all documents but I regret following my fiancée's ridiculous advice.) 😑
      However, I know that they will investigate it later and realize the situation. What would you recommend me to do? I have the file yet and it has not been delivered to them. Is there any problem if I deliver the file this way? Will they review it again later? Or would there be any harm in adding additional documents myself before hand delivery? My situation seems complicated and I apologize in advance for having to write for so long. I would be grateful if you could help me please. Thank you. 🙏

      It dépends at what moment you're talking.. Interprète during wedding just have to be someone that is not familly. Interprète/Translator for documents have to be someone recognized by french law, and will need to stamp documents at notar.

    • @justinistanbul
      @justinistanbul  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @dayanahugel3712 you need to be there to give the "dossier", the file, they need to meet you, to see you to accept to marry you or not. For this you need to have a translator with you if you don't speak french fluently because they will need to ask you both questions in order to determine if it's a genuine commitment... you don't have to stay once you gave the file with all the documents but you need to be there to bring it to the city all. I hope it is clear... 😊
