Hi beautiful souls! Are you thinking of getting PACSed in the country of love? Let us know if you have any other advice or questions about the process below! We would also love to hear about your experience if you have PACSed! 🥐
I love it! So glad youtube brought us together (as cheesy as THAT sounds) haha. Im sure this video will help a lot of people because I think I searched for this for hours when I was getting married. Share it on the facebook groups too as the topic comes up ALL the time ;)
The Purple Palace girl I am so glad I met you too!! It’s really so wonderful that we were brought together by TH-cam! (Though cheesy, so true!) will share of course on platforms as PACSing and getting married here is a hard process to master ❤️
Hi, This video was so helpful I am a student in France and my boyfriend is french. We both live in Lyon and he's been so helpful throughout all my visa troubles. Having so many hoops to jump through for the visa, he has mentioned getting pacsed to me a few times. Your insight has been helpful and thanks for creating such great videos.
Jo Hayes so glad to help :) yes, such a difficult process, right?! French guys are always the best at helping you out through the process! So happy to have you in our TH-cam community ♥️
Ah, I just realized you are in the same park I was in last weekend. I had not been there when I saw you both in this setting in the videos before. Oh, and of course the information is incredible. And the connection between both of you on camera is amazing, you both seem very spiritual. Hope to see a lot more of these collaborations :)
Thank you. This is very informative! I’m surprised I haven’t found you on TH-cam yet. I don’t live in France, but my boyfriend is French and we are vegan, And I’m pretty sure I went to a vegan pick nick in the park you are in. I adore France and want to get married there, but since we don’t live there I’m not sure how to go ahead with it.
Aimer votre chaîne française mon cher, tres bon. Je ne suis pas marie ou PACSed. C'est la vie. Triste. Felicitationes sur votre mariage. J'habite a Los Angeles, originnaire pour Australie.
Oh no! It is working on the desktop version on my computer, but not on my mobile for some reason....I didn't take it down! Here is the link : bit.ly/2P35BUo could you try this? Hopefully it will work! The video's working fine on a computer! :)
Sounds more complicated than the United States...though you aver to the contrary. It was super easy with me and my wife. Very limited documentation. I'm a citizen. And she was a foreign national. We got hitched after my doctorate. And the worst part of it was using her immigration lawyer. Immigration lawyers are the lowest level lawyer...right there with ambulance chasers...and they usually are drawn from the most incompetent segment of the student population. He not only got key facts wrong. He was just generally insulting...because he's used to dealing with people with few language skills.
I see no benefit to being PACSed. Sounds like just shacking up... lol So why not just live together? What are the benefits? You get a visa and health care? And talking about the materialism of marriage> What is that? They both sound like an horrific ordeal in France with all the paperwork.
Hi Cacilia! Girl, you are right, the administrative efforts of getting PACSed are annoying and take a super long time. However, the benefits outweigh all of the crappy paperwork you have to do. Getting PACSed is just like getting married - meaning, you have all of the rights as a married couple (the state recognizes you, you have less taxes to pay, it's easier to get an apartment, it lets you stay on a long term visa in France) - except, you don't adopt the name of your husband and you don't do the whole marriage ceremony, white dress and so on. A PACS is much more oriented to help you stay in France and to facilitate and ease your French life :)
That makes sense then. Thank you. It sounds like a marriage, just not in a church. You say it is easy to get out of it. Why then do they make it as difficult as a marriage to get into?

I feel like its always like that in Paris where you miss someone by a few minutes! Thanks Carola!
awwww
The only "benefit" to being PACSed I can see us not having to divorce to separate.
Dating as such is an American thing in Europe also in France it is not done...you have a redevous so just a meet up to hang out together.
Hi Yasmina! Yes, this is a very American thing, I definitely agree with you!
you are right

In regards to having bills in both parties names? Do they check if they have been in both parties names for a year?
From purple palace
Can this be applied to gay couples?

Simple - it's French bureaucracy. It's even hard to open a bank account here or sign a lease. Just the French way of complicating things ;)
@@caciliawhy5195 pacs was meant to be an updated (inclusive and a bit more modern) version a wedding.
