- Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in an afterlife. However, at the end of the world, the dead will be resurrected and given the choice of living on earth or ceasing to exist. A small remnant will be called to Heaven.

If all the dead people are going to be given a choice. Why become a Jehovah's Witness? What is the point?
Because just like thr flood in Noahs time it came outta nowhere and destroyed all the ones that didnt follow God . So there will be another one similar (armagedon) that will happen like that. So we always need to be ready for that in a good stance with God

The day before my mother passed away, her phone battery had gone flat, and it switched off. I charged it, but when I turned it back on, I realized I didn’t know the PIN. My mother, who had never once used the long PIN in the eight years she owned the phone, suddenly provided it without hesitation. It was a moment that reassured me she was fully lucid.
Moments later, she began excitedly asking if we could see the “amazing curtains” she saw around her. Her eyes were bright with excitement. My mother had been a cloth designer all her life, and it struck me as odd because the hospital curtains were old, plain, and unimpressive. I told her, “Mother, what are you talking about? The curtains here are terrible.” But she insisted, “No, no, can’t you see them?” It dawned on me that what she was seeing wasn't earthly - she was walking through the temple of temples, heading towards the Holy of Holies.
The next morning, over the phone, I heard her say, “Jesus, take me. I am ready.” This was especially strange because my mother had been a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for over 45 years. She firmly believed that, upon death, people enter a state of unconsciousness and remain that way until the resurrection after Armageddon. Yet, in those final moments, she wasn’t calling out to Jehovah. She was calling out to Jesus. It became clear to me that she had realized something profound - the teachings she had followed her entire life were not true. She was experiencing a resurrection right then and there, in that moment, and going with Jesus.
A week earlier, she had been resuscitated, as if given time to disclose the truth she had discovered. During that week, a priest from another denomination visited her and asked if he could pray with her. Normally, she would have declined because, as a Jehovah’s Witness, she believed his prayers would not align with her faith. But to my surprise, she grabbed his arm and said, “Yes, brother, please pray.”
Throughout that week, she also gave me specific instructions. She told me that if I ever met any of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, I must remind them of 1 Corinthians, which emphasizes love. What she was saying, in essence, was that no matter how much you preach or how devoutly you follow doctrine, without love, it means nothing. She was particularly insistent on this because, although she had long been critical of my way of life, I had shown her love until the very end.
She also introduced my partner and a friend of mine to the doctors and nurses as her daughters. Although only I was her biological child, she explained that the others were also her daughters, referring to them as if they, too, had come from her womb. She did this not once, but twice, at two different hospitals. It became clear that she had reached a point of profound understanding - that love and connection mattered more than rigid doctrines or judgments.
In her final days, she repeatedly told me that she had been a “bad mother.” She was grappling with the realization that much of what she had believed and taught was mistaken. Her change of heart was complete, and she took every opportunity to disclose how the teachings she had followed were, in her view, deeply flawed.
But the story does not end there. After my mother passed away, I couldn’t summon the courage to collect her belongings from frail care, so my partner went in my place. When she returned home, I asked her for my mother’s Bible. She handed me a Bible, but it wasn’t the Jehovah’s Witness version I was expecting. Confused, I told her, “This isn’t my mom’s Bible.” My partner replied, “This is the one she asked me to pack for her when she went to frail care.”
It was a non-denominational Bible. I was stunned that she had chosen to take that Bible with her, as it was completely unlike her. Still bewildered, I asked my partner to bring me her Jehovah’s Witness Bible instead. When I opened it, I found a note on the very first page. In her handwriting, she had written: “Jehovah, clean your church (organization),” along with a Bible verse.
At that moment, it became clear - she had left that Bible behind intentionally. She had abandoned it at home, signaling that she no longer identified with it. Her choice to take a non-denominational Bible to frail care and the message she wrote in her old one were final acts of clarity, reflecting the transformation she had undergone in her last days.
Her journey was not just one of passing from this life to the next but of discovery, humility, and profound love. It was a transformation that left me in awe, giving me peace and a deeper understanding of her final moments.
Hell is in the bible so this means they don’t believe in the whole Bible?

I am not, but as a Christian I know that the Bible teaches, That there will be a new heaven and a new earth and during the millennium time we will live on earth again.

Jehovah witnesses have backed themselves in a corner by their own beliefs. Rom 1:22 professing themselves to be wise they became fools. John 5:25 I say onto you the hour is coming and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son and they that hear shall live. john 5:26 For the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the son to have life in himself. Phil 2: 6-8 Jesus being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God and took upon HIMSELF the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of a man. A lot of disjointed quotes taken out of context. I don't see how that contradicts their beliefs, or proves that anybody is "painted into a corner."
According to JWs teaching it seems that life after death is equal to everyone - you either go to heaven, or go to paradise earth or get destroyed altogether. If that is the case, then this teaching is trying to say that it doesn't matter how you live here now on earth because sin or not sin you still get to one of the three. This I think is a very dangerous lie from the Devil.

I am a Jehovah’s Witness and he did not clarify its not how you act doesn’t matter but if you have a good heart and commit yourself to “Jehovah”just means (God the father) through the salvation of “Jesus Christ our savior” (God the son of man) then you shall be saved. They do mention hell although the do not stress it enough as being a place for all the mislead souls by satan that will reside in hell until judgement day comes! This is for all the mislead Jehovah’s Witness for better understanding and for all the Christians who believe it is false. God will judge all according those who do not find Christ will be condemned!

I have been a JW for years, that's why I knew all this. But, I did always believe something that the Watchtower did not teach, and that I kept to myself. It's for that reason that I don't know if others came up with the same idea, but I would think there must be people who did, because in my opinion, the idea not a stretch AT ALL. But, I have never heard nor read that any other person at all has thought the same idea. Which is crazy, to me, the idea is far, far from hard to come up with, in my opinion. This is it: I thought that the new earth (and also the new heaven) will *be another planet,* I do not say "*AT* another planet," because I believed it would literaly "BE another planet", not "be *at* another planet". How I think about "the" bible now: "Which version?", one could ask, and I am not even talking about the 'The New World Translation' versus other bibles, but rather about those other bibles, in my opinion there is a 'best one' and in my opinion that is the 'bible of Ethiopia', which is nearly eight hundred years older than the 'King James Version bible' and contains 88 books compared to 66.
Cease to exist seems like a very easy way out. Where is the justice? All evil doers will be judged the same way whether they have robbed someone or killed and given the same punishment (cease to exist?). Wow!

Many concurring scriptures declare that all who die before the return of Christ are dead until his second coming, otherwise there would be no need for his second coming. The return of Christ called in Greek "parousia", has two parts. In the first part, he comes for his Church, the body of Christ. This is called the gathering together. At that time the ''dead in Christ'' will be raised incorruptible and the living believers will "put on immortality". The second part of the parousia is Christ's coming with his Church of the Body upon earth. During this period called apokalupsis (revelation, revealing, making manifest, unveiling), the resurrection of all believers (exclusive of the Body of Christ) and all unbelievers.
Jehovah's Witnesses interpretation of the bible makes more sense that how other Christians interpret it. They don't believe tgat sinners will be tormented in a lake fire after judgment. Makes sense! How can a loving God who is the essence of goodness & love will torment human beings who sinned. You just perish & don't exist is more of an all loving God's punishment. You have to study the bible with them to get the essence.

From what I heard (I am not JW but from videos I’ve even watching) those who do major and unforgivable sins don’t get a chance they just cease to exist automatically after death. I might be wrong but yeah.

Hell is unfair because you shouldn't be punished infinitely for sins you commited in a finite life. Like for example it would be unfair if an atheist gets murdered at the age of 20 and goes to hell forever while his murderer converts to christianity 50 years later at the age of 80 shortly before his death and goes to heaven, but this is essentialy what Mainstream Christianity does believe in.
Either you believe in annihilation, universal salvation or that hell isn't eternal. Eternal hell is clearly unjust.
The Bible does not teach there is a burning hell. That was invented by the Catholic church centuries after Jesus's time. Judaism (which Jesus believed and taught) says that all the dead sleep until resurrected, then are judged.

I’m a Jehovah Witness and and I think a lot of what they teach is under guided I feel that in the beginning the religion spoke the truth but a lot of the teachers are mislead in understanding. They actually teach the same as Christians the just have more information on the scriptures but don’t explain it well enough and he has obviously been mislead on the teachings trust me i study with both Jehovahs witnesses and Christians and both are true they just both don’t explain well enough and are mislead from each other

I met a JW yesterday on the our local dog beach and he shared his beliefs with me, they are the same beliefs as this dude speaking on here states. How Very scary for them when they meet Jesus. I tried sharing my beliefs but he kept interrupting, nice enough person though... Ps... When we parted ways I blessed him & he said nicely “I don’t need your blessings” I need Jehovahs.. i go, ok.. i take them back then He was happy about that LOL..

I kind of agree with some of their beliefs but i find it dumb that they are just okay with being on earth. You would think people who follow god or Jehovah would strive to be the best they could but instead what im getting from this is that you can do whatever you want right now whether it be good ir bad as long as you agree to god after the armageddon and then you will be saved. Well, being on earth is better than not being anywhere. And what would be wrong with living on a world where *everyone* is kind and helpful, in glowing health, never getting old or sick, all evil, destructive and ugly things gone, everyone living in beautiful homes, etc. Sounds good to me.

Besides their dogmas - I am pretty< sure, that even JW`s do have near death experiences - may be they´re not allowed to tell them in their meetings, right, but some of those members do have them for sure - like many other ppl. do have it - its another story wether they do openly talk about it.
No one goes to Heaven, they inherit the earth. Remember 1000 years like day to God, so you could be at Resurrection.

If you feel a distinct and definite heavenly calling toward the Heavely Hope, then you are counted among the 144,000 destined to rule with Christ as Kings and Priests of God; and this is a calling the vast majority of us cannot understand because we simply aren't called.
However, as for most of Jehovahs people, we are called be ressurected on earth because we have the Earthly Hope.

Accept Him as your Lord and Saviour today and believe that He died for your sins on the cross and rose from the dead and you will be saved. Confess and ask for forgiveness of your sins and you will be cleansed of all unrighteousness.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Repent from them and find your happiness and purpose through Jesus.

It's literally pointless to become a jw. According to their theology all of our loved ones will be in paradise. Rather a jw or not. If anyone who's living on earth at that time does something Jehovah doesn't like then they will be completely annihilated not excluding jws. If they are correct on this then we don't have to put all our energy into the organization & follow men. @@josegodinesjr6452 hold so if we are being deceived then why did god never mentioned this place in the Old Testament. Why aren’t Adam and Eve in the lake of fire. This Greek interpretation of hell was already there before Jesus’s death. Jesus has never taught about souls. Not even the disciples. I don’t think god will ever send people there if they die in their own sins. Rather he would just annihilate which is something that god would prefer. Our lord god will rather vanish people of their existence forever than torturing them. Because I used to be agnostic. Then I realize that god told me something about hell. He told me hell is not what I think it is which is the lake of fire and eternal to torment. He told me that he’s going to annihilate people and it never crossed his mind to torture people in their sins. The Catholic Church made this up to scare people and it’s wrong to even think that god will ever send people. He would just vanish them like he said he would in the Old Testament.

No they don’t I met a JW yesterday on the our local dog beach and he shared his beliefs with me, they are the same beliefs as this dude speaking on here states. How Very scary for them when they meet Jesus. I tried sharing my beliefs but he kept interrupting, nice enough person though... Ps... When we parted ways I blessed him & he said nicely “I don’t need your blessings” I need Jehovahs.. i go, ok.. i take them back then He was happy about that LOL..

I took back my blessing because he didn’t want me to bless him. He said he only needed Jehovah’s blessing. So I cheekily said, I take it back then and he smiled. Also we left on good terms and he gave me his sisters phone number. You sound like a very bitter man.
