    This video is still relevant for anyone who can't really afford to buy new cars. I agree with putting the outback as #1.

    Thank you for the rundown, enjoyed it as I do most of the KBB reviews. However, I did not see a full-length video on the site. You admit that this is a very quick glance at these vehicles, so what was the reason for not making a, let's say, 30 min video? Again, great job, just curious why you didn't decide on a longer review.

    I need a review of chevy cruze 2016. As i might be buying in the coming year and i previously owned a 2013 chevy cruze and i really loved it. But since im getting married soon i need to know what cars should be on my shortlist for new married couples

    The problem I find with reviews and comparisons like this one is that features and gadgets are always high on the list. When it comes down to it, they are just machines and they need to be reliable everyday because no matter how many gadgets you have they won't help you when you break down and reliability is never high on the list when these comparisons and reviews are done.

    So is list for lower priced family vehicles? I guess it's pretty obvious, but will there be a list for more of the expensive family cars?

    • @MarimbaNation
      @MarimbaNation 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Once you get into the $50,000 and up range you're just buying what you like and your family adjusts around the purchase. You'll have people arguing a Tesla Model S is better than a minivan, but family friendly would not be in the top 2 reasons you actually considered it.

  • @sebastianvaldez4267

    In my opinion Toyota makes some of the best ALL-TIME use cars, compared to many other companys, the make the most reliable, family-friendly, off-roading(trucks and suvs) cars, for a great price. For example the toyota highlander is someting hard to beat. Most of the "luxurious and high tech" you find in many high priced cars are found in toyota

    In my opinion, the Nissan Rogue is better than the Pathfinder. Not only does the Rogue now have a 3rd row seat, is has excellent gas mileage, over 20 mpg in the city and i think 28 mpg on the highway, and this an all wheel drive Rogue.

  • @BTC909
    @BTC909 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Highlander 3rd row width / legroom great, headroom is laughable.
    Tahoe if you are spending that coin get a Suburban.
    Pathfinder is unreliable.
    Soul has weak (25 Combined) MPG. Cargo is limited unless you can drop a seat.
    The Sienna is the each choice over the Odyssey.

    • @robertkelly3041
      @robertkelly3041 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @robertkelly3041
      @robertkelly3041 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ivan Vojt They really need to get rid of the CVT or at least make it better.

    • @BTC909
      @BTC909 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rawr McRawr CVT's need fixed ratios. 7 ratios is ideal. Is it ideal for total efficiency no, but a traditional automatic with a torque converter is a fuel sucker. Having fixed ratios gets rid of the drone. I drove a 2006 Caliber, probably the worse CVT ever put into a production vehicle. With fixed ratios it's cheap to add the "paddle shifters" to draw in more buyers.

    Why not the Golf? The most award wining and talked about car in months... Also best seller in Europe and top pick for European families. How come an american family of 4 needs a Tahoe while Europeans are perfectly happy with a Golf?

    • @sophieeaton-lain8075
      @sophieeaton-lain8075 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vlad Saghin American roads are bigger- I live in Europe and our roads are tiny- so golfs fit better! If it wasn’t such a tight fit on the roads I’d totally spring for the big SUV’s- I agree I really like the golf as well should be talked about

    • @still34u
      @still34u 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I know .. I was thinking the same, for the price of a tahoe or new siena you could get a nice beamer, audi or VW ...which would blow that asian junk out of the water ... american cars I can't tell, since I've never had one

    • @sirnaziyeh
      @sirnaziyeh 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      still34u The germans have so-so fuel economy, and a BMW for the same price as a $50 grand tahoe, can't match the standard equipment list of the tahoe or sienna. Besides, the asians are more reliable, everyone knows that.

    • @robertkelly3041
      @robertkelly3041 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cayvon Nazih Good points, but some of those German cars (VW mostly) have those diesel engines. Those TDI Jettas will give you about 38 mpg combined (with the manual), and 150 HP. I completely agree with you on that Asian reliability though.

    Hmmmm the 2015 Corolla has more leg room and Trunk space for car seats and strollers. However the civic made the list and the Corolla didn’t? HMMM oh that’s just KBB showing favoritism as always 😂😂 this is why I never take anything KBB says seriously 😂

    • @MatthewTheCCMA
      @MatthewTheCCMA ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2015 Corolla had 13 cubic feel of trunk space while the 15 Civic had 12.5… nothing crazy but yet it’s still bigger. This comparison if for families right? The 2015 Corolla has 41 inches of rear leg space and the 2015 Civic has 36 inches. Why was the civic on this list? Yes it’s a good car but this is clearly biased.

    The Civic does NOT belong on this list. Not a bad car by any means, but not a family car. Hell, it's hardly good enough to cart around more than 1 friend. It makes a good commuter car, hence the name.
