    Had my 3 inch lift on for approximately a year and had no complaints until I got the death wobble. Some guys on a Jeep forum advised geometry relocating brackets after I had banged my head against the wall trying to fix the problem. I know some will say worn parts was probably the cause but the Jeep is a 2021 Gladiator with no worn parts. Geo fixed my problem.

    I have the AEV 3 1/2" on my JKUR and love it. It rides just as good on road as it does off road.

      Right on! Really loving the setup thus far. Kinda wondering if we should have gone with the 3.5". Might consider an upgrade latter but we will see what happens this year I think :)

    After I installed these I bought a used jeep rubicon with a 2.5 lift kit it's got cam bolts in the front control arms after a 8k mile road trip I was a bit concerned with drivablity. It was darty and got squirrelly under hard braking my caster looks to be 4.5degrees after sadly I didn't measure before hand. But after a test drive and a few emergency brake conditions it seemed to handle a million times better. Not sure what lift it came with but it measured out to 2.5 inches. My lower control arms are now parallel to the frame. I'm much more confident in the handling. The back doesn't want to walk around the front and it's definitely more straight

    We had to add adjustable rear upper and lower control arms after we installed double Cardin drive shafts to eliminate drive shaft vibration. No issues with the 2.5” lift.

      Goodness, so far things seem to be working out really well. Loving how things ride now. Really didn't expect things to be much different honestly.

    Major difference between the geometry brackets and having them installed compared to not having them installed!!

    I just added the Metal Cloak Front and rear upper/lower control arms. After getting some advice from the guy who built my Jeep, who is an avid rock crawler, I decided to leave the GEO C brackets off to gain more ground clearance. The ride sucks is how I can best summarize it. Very jarring and drastic change then what I was used to. Today when I took it back to have them put back on he stated that he thinks it's all in my head. This coming from a guy that runs long arm suspension and 40s. I don't really care though, I know I can feel a big difference and I want my ride quality back. Although many say you loose 2.5 inches of ground clearance, that is not the case, its only about 1.5 inches due to the crossmember clearance. The AEV control arms are going back on!

      @BubbasgarageTv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow that's crazy and honestly that 1.5 inch can be dealt with you know.

    I already drag rocks on the factory control arm mount. That AEV bracket looks like it's quite a bit lower than the factory mount.

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed, if you drag now this will definitely drag. Granted it's not that much lower but it is lower.

  • @93SA10
    @93SA10 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So you can drop the upper and lower control arms while the full weight of the vehicle is on them. I know the instructions say it like that but I figure I better check first.

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One thing is for sure, I wouldn't attempt anything without adding a lot of support and backup support just to be safe ;) Sometimes those instructions can be very vague lol

    I just installed the 2.5 Dualsport XT on my 08 JK Rubicon. It is GREAT! In fact, it is so good, I'm considering not installing the Geometry Correction Brackets I bought with it. So when are you going to share your thoughts on the geo brackers? I'm waiting to hear from you before bothering with them. Thanks for the great videos!

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi sorry for the late reply. Would love to hear how things are going with your setup. Honestly, I am very pleased with this setup this far. I do still plan to make some changes to the kit but the ride is great the steering is still spot on. Did you end up installing them or are you still running with out them?

  • @DrinaDayz
    @DrinaDayz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Again, seems like a really great kit for the jeep, cool they so a Correction kit. Be interesting to know how it Drives, does it still need aligned after install

    did you use jack stands or anything to secure the jeep when you removed the control arms?

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nothing more than put the brakes on and use a ratchet strap really.

    What are your thoughts on also including steering stabilizer after adding 2.5” lift?

    • @BubbasgarageTv

      Great question, so far I have not needed or added one. Rides and drives great

    I have 33s and just bought the AEV 2 1/2 inch Dualsport XT suspension, do you need any extensions or anything for the sway bars, either front or back?

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, it came with some, with that said be sure to check out our last follow up review on this. I have some recommendations ;)

    Hey Bubba. What torque did you apply to the bracket itself (Not control arms). Thanks.

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. The documentation didn't really specify. With that said I did torque them down pretty good and after a couple of weeks I did go back and check everything to be safe.

  • @rickyweymers9209

    Do they go on the inside or outside of factory brackets?

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They wrap the outside of the factory mounting locations on the bottom. The video does provide a pretty good view of this. Hope this helps.

    By far the worst lift kit. Wooou is bad not good at all. The geometry is good. But the kit is no good I’d paid 2311 dollars and it was a waste of money

      what?

    • @BubbasgarageTv
      @BubbasgarageTv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great feedback. We have been running this kit for several years and on many trails and overlanding. It has treated us really well. To be honest, Im very pleased with how well the suspension takes our overland rig down a trail ;)
