    So bizarre that there are companies who use this to measure employability! It would be like saying “sorry, I can’t hire you because you’re a Sagittarius”

      Well, depends on the job, if you’re going to have to write cleanly for people to read it without any trouble then I’d understand that. Like a teacher or a doctor writing prescriptions (as we all know doctors are notorious for illegible handwriting)

    I’m always amazed at how many dogs are constantly getting jumped over by foxes. I imagine it’s because the dogs are lazy, and the foxes are quick.

      That's so cool! It's a very interesting field when it comes to matching writing samples and things like that -- it's just the personality interpretations that I have my doubts about :)

    • @germansnout
      @germansnout 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too. I use different writing at work than I do any other time. My work writing is neat block letters & my 'normal' every day writing is more stylized. I use a lot of flourish for lower case letters that have a tail - like y or j.

    I loved this! So some of mine (I do write cursive mostly, or a mix of print and cursive)
    Slant slightly to the right, small, closed “L” and “E”, middle T, just above I, kinda legible signature with Big caps and different handwriting than usual, open A, closed O, straight in the line, equal keening and spacing, open C, loop Y, medium pressure? Not sure
    Fun stuff

    Wow, I can't believe your friend didn't get a job because of a handwriting analysis. I found this very relaxing and it was fun to follow along (but so inaccurate haha) but it's stupid that it's used in professional settings.

    • @MauveASMR
      @MauveASMR  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right? The fact that it lost him the job blew me away as well! This was in a place where psychoanalysis is still prevalent and I often wonder if that served as some kind of cultural scaffold for this test and the value attributed to it, dunno

  • @billysledgehammer
    @billysledgehammer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wtf. Did the job revolve around people needing to read handwriting without the person being there to tell them what it says? It’s funny how little regulation there is around job interviews and what people can get away with finding out about you to see if you qualify or not.

  • @kioku119
    @kioku119 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Since handwriting analysis is debunked pseudoscience your friend probably dodged a bullet not getting that job if they judge people about arbitrary things like that. I guess the only exception being if someone is writing hand written letters to send out as part of their job or something you probably want them to be ledgable and neat but beyond that, that's just some weird judgemental power trip. It also has the potential to be ableist, given people with certain motor processing differences or who have muscle spasms or inconsistent tics like people with terrets or other cases could have hand writting that looks different from most people's.

    i’m left handed and i was forced to write with my words slanting to the right! i identify more with the left slant than the right, im an introvert.
    lol also i dot my I’s with hearts, have done since i was a kid and it takes more effort to not do it than it does to do it at this point
