- Hello and thank your for visiting ! My name is Diane, and this is my very first ASMR video, I hope you’ll like it. You’ll get to see a vintage letter writing in a cinematic/movie way, with paper sounds, writing with a nib feather pen, ink glass bottles and occasionally inaudible whispers.

Writing a letter, especially like this, takes time. You carefully translate your thoughts and feelings from your mind onto paper. In a day and age when you can send a text, a phone call or an email, taking the time to write a letter is a labor of love.

Most channels have a noticeable dip in quality when you go all the way back to their first videos, or even 1 year ago. Watching this first video of yours which is now 1 year old is amazing; right off the bat you had that hi fidelity production and attention to detail.

It's always fascinating to see someone's first steps in a new art form; so often, you can see the talent, and the potential, but also, where there is room for them to grow. What is so special about this first step is how mature your style already is...the steady hand with editing, knowing just where to place the camera, the sound quality (among so many things)...it's all there! Of course, you have grown TREMENDOUSLY as an artist and as a filmmaker since this, and it is such a privelege to be one of the lucky people who found your channel and got absolutely enchanted by your videos.

Just a feather and a scissor can make your handwriting better. No need for fancy fountain pens
how does it feel having the self control to not separate every single piece of that feather?
Thankfully I don't have to worry about that. I follow the ancient scribal tradition of stripping the barbs from each shaft before I cut the first nib.
No idea! I got a really nice quill for christmas and half the feathers are already seperated

I love your handwriting here! It's a little less connected than the cursive I learned in school. Not sure if that is stylistic or just the way you learned, but it's so interesting & satisfying to watch!
in Italy we learn as children to write in cursive like this!

strangly, I would have said nearly the same even today... XD
Because most those (youngin's) on TH-cam can't read cursive handwriting.
Well sadly I think writing or hand writing in non print type is a dying art format that sadly is not taught in school to this day, I recall the only time my school ever tryed teaching us cursive handwriting was in the first grade and after that nope, nothing but print hand writing.... quite sad because if they still taught this writing then we at least know how to sign a check or check book the wright way haha but in all sense it sad to see something once seen as common everyday skill is now seen as a thing of the past of only in the vintage noire films would you see this handwriting format.
Sigh oh well enjoy it while it last I say.

I'm a woodworker, my workshop is really fckn loud, i usually just listen to podcasts and music (if i'm gonna wear earplugs all the time, why not...) And ASMR usually triggers my anxiety due to the lack of noise pollution, but this one is cool
