Well explained! Thanks for that! However, I still don’t get an answer to the question of how I can ‘translate’ a video URL to TH-cam. I can select the image that is shown when I hover over the video, but I can’t select the play button to change the URL. The video now goes to a Dutch video, but of course, I want to display the English version as a translation. I have searched in strings and on the URL, but only the PNG that is on my website is found. I can’t change the URL anywhere.
Hi there! Thanks for your kind words and the question. It totally depends on how you put in the URL from TH-cam in the original language. Are you putting it inside of a block? Or just the url inside Gutenberg? There is a way to use shortcodes for these kind of specific problems…

It's amazing, thank you so much! But I have a small issue: I can translate all pages, include the shop page. But when I visit my site and try to see the shop page with the second language, it's totaly blank. Maybe it's because the woocomerce didn't know the second language shop page is a "product archive" page. Can you tell me how to fix it? I use elementor as my page builder.😢
@@WPressDoctor i used Hello Elementor Theme. Actually I found that maybe come from Woocommerce function. When I unassign my page as woocommerce shop-page, everything work well. So I did that and re-assign when I completed my translation 😂

Hoa I have been using this addon for a while but there are two things I don't like. 1 that you can't make pages with different language layouts. 2 when I update some text in the main language it automatically erases all the translations of that part. Would you recommend another plugin like polylang but faster?
Hi there! Thanks for the comment. I’m not quite sure what you mean about different language layouts per page. If you want to have a entire section/element/module in another language, that’s possible using shortcodes. 2) Every other plugin is a real mess compared with TranslatePress, so I would not recommend using it…. But you can always try, make sure to make a backup first 👍🏻
That in some cases you can't translate the same language and you have to create different contexts. Regarding the plugins I think they are all pretty bad and I hope wordpress will one day release the native multi languages. @@WPressDoctor

No translation plugins, no English or other secondary language. We can put static content in French, but how to translate WordPress core language like Add to cart, place order, etc.
Ah yes, I would then indeed put the WordPress core in French, than keep your user profile on English (so you still know what you are doing if you don't speak French). And then WooCommerce would also be in French. If some things are not translated, you indeed can use Loco translate to translate some of these things...

Yes you could, just pick and set the primary language you want, then the others will be the laguage of translation choice.

Hm dat kan het probleem niet zijn denk ik. Je hosting kan ook een cache hebben! Als je er niet uitkomt kan ik ook even met je meekijken, dan kun je me als gebruiker aanmaken als admin met het email adres the@wpressdoctor.com en dan log ik even voor je in, gratis uiteraard 😊.

Within translatepress you can let DeepL translate automatically… just follow the video where I show how to do this

This is a good plugin but you will have design issues with rtl languages
Hi there! Thanks for your comment. It’s true with RTL languages you have to add some CSS to your website to make it work properly. It’s always a challenge to fit RTL languages in a website that has been created with LTR… 🤷🏼♂️
