I love my luci lights, especially the one that I can use for charging other things. They are so easy to pack and fit almost anywhere deflated. I think for walking at night I may prefer a headlamp though.
I would agree about the head lamp. With it on your head none of the light goes in your eye thus giving you more visibility. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I bought two Luci lights, but never thought about just pulling them apart instead of blowing them up. I placed them in my windshield with my windshield cover behind them and they charged pretty quickly I was doing a lot of running around so I didn't keep track of time. Since I'm trying to do everything with either USB or solar I found them to be very useful and good for the environment! Thanks for doing the tests I had no idea how long they would last since after 8 hours I turned them off!

we love our Luci light. when we back pack we put it on the back of our packs to charge.
