Dionne and Luther MY GOD!!! Dionne pulled that note from heaven during the climax. The power and authority in their voice. We will never see performances like this unless the standard for the industry changes we need to get back to promoting raw soulful and honest talent. The art of “SANGING” is only left in the church mainstream needs more vocalists.
Amazing description! Luther, being a man, is able to project a very loud and strong voice. Dionne decides she ain’t playing! She told Luther to sit down girlfriend!
Ms. Dionne and Luther slayed and snatched in this one duet every instrument, dress, skirt, suit, make-up, jewelry, wig, underwear, panty, girdle, bra, stockings, and socks that was in that whole damn building🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
From 3:57 to the end you guys nearly had an accapello, we wanted to watch everything like the audience. At 4:27 we forgot we're the backup singers, and at 4:43 we had completely signed out and given up 😂 ❤
Fat Luther knew he could sing! His voice is like nothing I've ever heard, so much depth, sensitivity, beauty, and skill. The tonal qualities are glorious, both the chest voice and the falsetto. Every note is a treat for the ears!
OH MY @ Dionne! She belted three F5's here (4:14 to 4:16) like clockwork. One thing about Dionne as a singer is that she loves feigning weakness and lingering in her contralto tessitura -- but never make the mistake of underestimating this woman. Dionne can belt high notes up to soprano chest register range. In fact, although she never had Whitney's power, resonance, and tonal roundness, Dionne actually had a wider belting range than her cousin -- and that's saying a lot because Whitney sure could belt.

Dionne put her soul into this rendition. Go Dionne!
Yes! This live performances is even better than the studio recording. Such passion on both sides. Vandross knew how produce for his women like an art.

Music in the past is the BEST compared today's music....Today's music is trash unlike music from the past
This performance gave me the chills. Real singers.
Dionne is singing with great passion
One of the finest duets in music history.

You could have left off his being overweight. His weight had no bearing on his ability to sing.
I agree about not putting in the fat comment. But exactly right on point with your kind comment..
You couldn't be one of our people to say something stupid like...we are the tribe of Juda...and he wasn't fat...he was family. ✊🏽
Love love this!! Best Duet evrr!! That Ms. Dionne, Ms. Dionne!!!!!!@@@@!!!!!!!!
I dunno know if this is the best or Diana / Lionel. Both just so, so great. th-cam.com/video/7Bwwo7ctG10/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RETROVISOR

Estos son cantantes natos.
my heart breaks when l hear this tune❤❤❤❤😂RIPxx
Two legends. Why does this remind me of “A Whole New World?” Maybe it’s the arrangement and breakthrough at the end. They both killed it!!
This came long before "A Whole New World"
@@dwftube I’m certainly aware of that.

Oh dear the ball cap was around even in the 80's....but on to the duet....this live clip has the passion the record just didn't seem to have....
I think the studio version passion just that when légends hit the stage they just give you even way more!!!!!!, lol.
The ballcap is still around...
Uauuuuuuuuuuuu!!! No wordssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocking!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more!
I am in this situation and this song is perfect how I feel
Isn’t it crazy how songs interpret your life/emotions?
Dionne anche se passano gli anni seisempre bellissima sei la regina della bella musica ❤️❤️❤️❤️💐♥️
Absolutely amazing!!!
Phenomenal
Queen 👸 👑
They are taking me to church!
Una grande diva!!!
Poehh, perfect

❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can clearly see the student vs teacher thing going on here.
Absolutely agree. Luther Vandross was a huge fan of Miss Dionne, and rightfully so.
Their blend is not quite as good as the blend she had with Johnny Mathis, but I’d hate to have to live on the difference‼️
上手いで!流石ディオンヌ&ルーサーですね(^_-)-☆

I don't know which guy from my past this is from! So I can't buy into it.
