LNER Intercity 125/HST Compilation 2019! Final Year on the ECML

Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. A couple of weeks ago (On December 15th, 2019 to be more specific) saw the last of the High Speed Train/ Intercity 125 or Class 43 fleet being retired from passenger operation on the East Coast Mainline after forty years of service. This had become one of the most iconic rail transport units of all the British Railway network and been going through different operating names from Intercity to GNER then National Express East Coast, East Coast and Virgin Trains East Coast before finally finishing up at LNER (London North Eastern Railway).
To pay tribute to this and assuming that many other trainspotters have done the same, here is my compilation to the HST’s on the ECML during their final year of service from various locations both stopping at stations and at speed. However, I also inserted some footage of the HST from 2018 at places I didn’t visit during 2019 such as Edinburgh and Darlington. These units certainly won’t be forgotten and will always be in our hearts. Hope you all enjoy this!
