Long live the retired HST 125,s. Love the noise and diesel fumes that linger in the air. As iconic as the Spitfire, saw one of them fly over Leas Rd Warlingham yesterday 27.8.22. Great Vid Richard.
I was lucky to ride on these beautiful hsts I went on the gner with the vp185 valenta engines then I went on the national express hsts then eastcoast hsts grand central hsts IV done cross country hsts twice and iv done virgin east coast aswell
At 4.54 the signal is red. I was in Maidenhead station before and the announcer would say will passengers on platform 4 stand clear through train approaching I'd say to myself what is she on about them boom this train would come out of nowhere the speed they come at. You wouldn't want any toddlers on the platform. But in Maidenhead they put all the through trains through the furthest quietest platform for safety reasons I presume
Hi, fantastic video. I am doing a video on my Dean Park channel of the MK3 coach and Hornby's new model of it. Would I be able to use some of your footage in that video, I would give you full credit of course. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers. Dave
How true 😂 I'm here for the same reasons. It sounds like such an incredible train for its time but in NSW was not executed properly. I get the gradients and but even on flat sections the investments in the tracks just weren't made. Very different conditions but shame. Awesome video
@@ArchieHWVideography same..when I was I kid my older sister worked at a train station and the horn would scare me and then seeing them rip past was amazing..became my favourite locomotive
Anyone else remember how HATED these locos were when they first came out ? Me and my Dad used to turn our backs when one went past ! All we wanted to see were Deltics, and other REAL locos, not these 'bland corporate' HSTs !
There is purely something so exciting, and special watching a HST fly past at 125mph. Truly a British Icon, that will never be forgotten. Great Video!
As a Frenchie I got super duper lucky to be able to ride those sexy British trains twice in two weeks 🥰
Superb Video! There is something very therapeutic about watching HST trains at speed!
I spent more time looking at the locations than I did looking at the HST's. Might have to watch it again.
Locations are noted in the description Alan
I don't care how cool people think they are but everyone secretly loves a HST at speed flying through a station. I miss the Paxman Valentas.
dammm I'm going to miss these trains
Absolutely beautiful to watch! HSR! I salute you!

0:49 This sounds so good through headphones.
Amazing video. Hard to imagine that these used to be in GNER Livery. With this Livery they were so transformed into a nice sleek modernised Train
What a tribute to these iconic trains!
Fantastic camber at Retford,I had to make sure refreshment trolley wasn’t to highly stacked or someone could get a complimentary packet of crisps ,
My goodness! Even after 45 years this workhorse can still pack a punch!
cheers for this my favourite loco! SUPERB!!
Always loved the HST'S
Great video love to see the class 43's, sad to see they have been withdrawn from LNER
wot saw one at kings x
7:01 nice to hear some VP185 action amongst all the MTU!
I love how the drivers honked at you 😂
Watch my EMR red HST, that was an amazing horn from it
@@BobaShakeMallow bit annoyed it went out of focus but here's the link th-cam.com/video/psUipshbbbg/w-d-xo.html
Our loss is Mexico's gain !
My best train in Trainsim world. Thanks for these videos
새마을호 PP가 떠오르네요.
한국의 새마을호 PP동차는 디자인이 뭔가 암트렉 객차랑 class 125랑 TGV 합친 느낌인듯 합니다.
The East Coast Mainline is not the same without the HSTs

6:15 what station is that?
At least the flying banana is still alive.
and xc hst and gwr hst, and sr hst and Ls midland pullman hst
México, september 2023.
Do you know anywhere where these are still running?
These will now be running on the Midland mainline so Derby Nottingham area with the same livery #RedHST
Grand central and lner are now operated by emr
Places like Luton and Bedford
I still have them past Cheltenham spa
@@otterlyamazing2605 I've seen a few of them on railtours and test trains on the West Coast Mainline recently.

Schöne Aufnahmen.
Is Class 43 currently working or not please?
Some lines still have them however
GWR, XC, Network rail and ScotRail all have them
Brilliant! Now we are squashed into uncomfortable Japanese junk!

Is it me or all the time I count the coaches on the HST I count to 9
I think you are counting the buffet car
@@themightyzanoss8409 so basically 9 coaches
The.LNErR sets did run 2 + 9.
希望台灣也有像這樣的火車。
0:52 Photobomed! Oh well at least it wasn’t a 91
Biggleswade is my favourite station don't ask
British engineering at it's very best. We are lucky in Scotland that we saved a few and refurbished them for London to Inverness routes with Scotrail.
The NSWGR XPT is a joke compared to these steeds!

Love the XPT but theses seem different and better even the seats look better.
R.I.P shame they couldn’t go their top speed of 148.5mph
Like one set did on The 1st of November 1987 down Stoke Bank.
To be fair they used to scare me when I was younger cause of how fast they went lol

Such a shame about the ugly paint job. Nothing beats the OG blue-yello and 80s brown for style and sophistication
