I am so happy to see that bench in in front of the window not painted white. It is a beautiful piece as it is. Too many people today paint everything white instead of showing the beauty of natural wood. There will be a time in our lives when we won’t be able to have real wooden items in their natural state.
It’s not wood, someone painted it with a weird stain in some swirls and zig zag patterns. She may or may not paint it.
That’s too bad someone did that to this bench. There is no accounting for someone’s taste. Whatever your mom does I am sure it will look great.

I am insanely jealous of her stoneware/pottery bowl collections! And her crocks... I'm pretty jealous of YOUR new 5 gal crock, too!

This drying rack that you have behind the couch (time is 11:13) takes me back about 57 years when I was hanging cloth diapers on one like this in front of a gas heater after getting them out of the washer. In the winter, I couldn't hang them outside, or they would freeze! I have had to iron them dry so many times! Thanks for the memories.

Wow..wow..wow!!!! Your Mom's home is incredible. The water views are gorgeous. Her decor is beautiful. . The fireplace filled with logs and the patterned tiles on the mantle are perfect. . Love how she mixed in her green stoneware and bowls with the white stoneware in the kitchen. Everything was so well curated. OMG!!! Is the swan table really back!!!!!!! Yaaaaaaay!! I think its heft fits this space so much better than anything you have had here. It is a real anchor to the room. I actually took a picture to try and replicate this look in my home. The wood beams and framed windows are amazing in the living room. I imagine the light throughout the day is wonderful. The small desk and iron chair is so unique together. And I love that you don't force decor, leaving some empty shelves in the built ins shows such restraint and style. It would be way to busy with something filling every space. Negative space is so beautiful too. ANd who wouldn't want to do laundry in that gorgeous room. All the windows and views and your sweet treasures make it so cozy!!!
