Oh my gosh, your garden areas are so gorgeous. I just love the front & side yard. I hope you can capitalize on your back patio. That's such a great space!!! Once you start going out there often & put flowers & plants the spiders will move on. You might have to take a broom to tear down cob webs every now & then to show them who's boss...lol. Also, that window with a view of the fence could be a great space for a wall fountain or hanging flower baskets. I just love everything! You both did a great job!! Frank is adorable!

You should plant rosemary bushes (just add some sand to your soil first) outside your picket fences. They hold up really well in more draughty climes, are useful for cooking and keeping out pests from the rest of the garden, plus they have the cutest little light purple flowers when they bloom!
I like the way you have decorated your little house. Just wanted to say that the size of your house is pretty much what a lot of houses in the UK are like size wise. We live on a tiny island and our houses are some of the smallest in europe. I'm not complaining - we make the most of the space we have just as you do!
I cannot tell you how much I love what you guys have created. My fav has to be Frank though lol. I had 2 mini dachshunds (Frank and Beans) who have now passed on. They made it home -the rest was merely decor. Well done!

Very interesting. My first year of college was in neighboring Costa Mesa. I stayed with my realatives. Their home, like most others, was stucko. They had a fireplace because it does get cold there. In your hanging closet, I suggest removing the plastic wrapping. It is not recommended because fabrics need to breath. Thank your for this lovely tour. I do miss Newport beach. It was our destination for sun and sand. We walked the piers and swam at the Wedge on vacations there when we visited family in Costa Mesa. Quite a difference from my Midwest Illinois life.
Newport Beach is my favorite place in the world, as well as Balboa Island. Spent time their as teenager and it makes me happy thinking about it. You are blessed to live there. Cute house. Must have loving parents to help you.

That’s cute! As an OC native that grew up in the 70’s and 80’s. Most of our parents owned a second house either at the beach , Arrowhead, Mammoth, Palm Springs on top of their regular house. My parents had an Arrowhead house. Our Summers were spent hopping from place to place with friends. We also spent a couple of weeks up in Tahoe most Summers. Such fun memories.

Cut them pretty close to the bottom of the bloom and float them in water. Looks really nice with a few leaves floating alongside, in a wide, shallow bowl.

Newport Beach was my late husband’s and my favorite place to visit on our vacations and since the early 80s I have hung a Newport Beach framed poster in various spaces in our house. Your little dog is darling. My two favorite decorating touches were all the blue and white pottery and the outdoor chandelier. Also, your living room and kitchen are perfect. I had to laugh when you said you kept your French doors closed to keep out the spiders because I just killed a big spider in my bathroom. 🤣😩
