Bredli are the BEST! I love working with them so much. We work with a group of 23 doing scan sampling of their behavior in captivity and conduct training and enrichment trials. They are so active and their personalities really show the more you give them to do.
Bredl's are amazing, so calm, inquisitive and beautiful! . They are also unbelievably easy to care for. Like most carpets in general. For anybody wanting something a slight step up from the usual corns and royals, these guys have to be the perfect choice.
I want to add some to my collection snakes. They have a eastern diamondback rattlesnake frame and size and they eat basically same size prey . I hurd of the wild back in day ones was larger but now they max 8 feet or is that only in captivity ? Bring that they from Australia giving that alot prey items are they eating monkeys , weasels, minks, Lemur's which share same territory? In if so does that mean carpets are large enough to consider a person small dog as poodle or large adult house cat? And being that they seem to love eat birds in wild in even eat chicken,turkeys, in guessing that it can prolly even eat adult Large lizards like tegu, eguana??

What a gorgeous snake. It was fun seeing how active she was as you were holding her. Centralians are one of the python types I'm really interested in, so this was an especially interesting one.
Really falling in love with this species, I must admit. Your adorably fussy girl is a perfect example of why fear of snakes is such a silly misunderstanding. If she was a cat hissing that much, you'd have been clawed to hell already, but this massive, powerful creature so clearly never even considered lashing out in any way, she just wanted her "this is booooring!!" feelings known 😂

Love your videos. I have a Bredli and I notice she makes the same huffing and puffing noises. I was warned that they can make noise but is this made out of fear and meant as a warning?
I'm curious about the sexual size dimorphism in this species. I've read the male Bredli engage in pre-mating combat and have researched some field studies by Shine that indicate wild male specimens are the larger sex, much the same as the coastal group. Though this may change in captivity, I would think the size of male and female would be close to equal. Nice video! I subscribed.
As circumstance would have it that particular species happens to be the ideal starter snake for me for virtually every reason except size. I live in central Australia so I naturally get the cold winters and dry hot summers it’s adapted to. Ironically that species is the most affordable, more so than smaller species such as children’s pythons

Are tiger snakes and mangroove snakes larger than bull snakes and Brazilian rainbow boa?

Do any of ya large female get rabbits or are they fed strictly jumbos rats ? Can you breed them with gtp ?
Odd, it took my carpet 8 years to reach full growth with a larger spurt when she was 7

Wonderful snake - I love all morelias. But providing this big a temperature fluctuation could be tricky unless one has a separate room?

Greg Fyfe is a friend of mine and I was lucky enough to get animals from his first captive bred clutch in 1990.
