You just need to record on a large area and move the tape at high speeds and you’ll get something leagues better than a standard compact cassette. In fact, old recordings often sound better IMO, because they still have the dynamic range that is often lost due to the loudness war.

George wasn't even alive to hear this version of his song... I'm sure he'd love it... The way his voice blends with all those strings... Whenever I hear the ending of his vocals I feel like he's singing his last words and he's leaving his body while the melody keeps on going as he rests his soul in peace... YES! Tonal modulation combined with very complex barber shop harmony made the Beatles sound very different. Listen to the making of the vocals for Paperback Writer to really understand their feat. They really pulled this trick off many times. Sounds simple on the records. Who thought it took all day to get it down on tape. Layers after layers
Question:Why do older fans of the Beatles look down on younger or newer fans as if they don't actually like them?Your age has nothing to do with if you like the Beatles or not.Maybe leave them alone they are just enjoying the music.Who cares if they have been die hard fans since day one of not.
I've never encountered that but anybody looking down their nose at younger fans must be hung up on something other than the music. The music stands on its own. Maybe the older fans who do it are trying to give themselves a false stature to make themselves feel better. Maybe they are being possessive of the music which is ridiculous because once music is in the air it takes on a life of its own for any and all to experience and identify with. I love the Beatles. If I run into what you're talking about I'll do my best to keep it out of my heart and let them keep it in theirs. I have no use for that kind of thing. Take care.
Thank you ;u; everyone questions why I love the Beatles and some say I'm too young to even like the Beatles. They expect me to like stuff like 1D and get surprised when I don't really enjoy 1D
As a former orchestra band member and someone who loves rock songs, I love orchestra versions like this. The strings hit differently and give more natural emotions to songs.
Pose this is not an orchestral version, but a recording done by George Harrison on his own (voice and guitar), to which Georges Martin (their long time producer) added and recorded a string arrangement...
I can’t believe The Beatles were able to make so many great songs from scratch, there will never be another band like the Beatles, they are the greatest music artists who have ever lived.
Without hesitation, my favorite Beatle is Paul McCartney. However, I find that in lists of all time favorite Beatles songs, George Harrison's songs, even though not as numerous, are consistently at the top of the list. Between While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Here Comes the Sun, McCartney and Lennon follow behind. As I said, I favor McCartney, but I gladly yield to Harrison on some of his songs. I even like Within You and Without You.

I’ve been a Beatles fan since I was 11 years old and heard them on my transistor radio in 1964. I’ve always loved this song but this is the best version I’ve ever heard. George’s voice is so clear and pure on this.
I see why some would say The Beatles isn't their cup of tea, their favorite band to listen to, but to actually HATE these guys? That might actually be impossible. I feel like everyone in their own way respects The Beatles, whether it's listening to them frequently or simply acknowledging their achievements and moving on. Or I'm completely wrong, I dunno, I'm just another comment of 8000+ LOL
The people I've met who "hate" The Beatles are the same people who hate almost everything that became popular or mainstream. AKA: "Edgelords" They're not people who truly appreciate music, and usually only "like " one genre or even just a couple songs.
su do if one says they hate the Beatles, they are either extremely immature in their knowledge of music, or they are ignorant of their catalogue of songs. As a songwriter/musician, I am simply amazed by how varied the composition of their songs are. These guys started in their teens and continued to write amazing, intricate songs, and the members that are still here are STILL writing music! Paul McCartney is for sure one of my heroes that inspires me to write. The whole point is to make songs that evoke emotion and a sense that we as human beings can relate to each other on the most basic levels. I am a human being ;)
I like the Beatles at lot, and as a guy who isn't really a musician, the best way I can describe their music is that it's very "flavorful", I hope that makes sense lol

It's, "I don't know why nobody told you how to unfold your love". They're all too busy walking about in a trance with their heads bent over their mobile phones and bumping into people in the streets, rather than look where they're going. Or, as my History Teacher once stated after marking my dissertation, You've got your focus straight ahead and you can't see what's happening on the periphery. That's why no-one knows how to unfold their love.

I used to feel Clapton's licks and solo in the original release of this song epitomized the weeping within this song... but come to realize from this arrangement how much more is there - the minor tonic chord progression along with George's haunting solemn vocal are where the real true sadness lay ... felt tears. I've always been of opinion a song stands on it's own if you may strip it down to bare acoustic - this it does, and George's genius still shines forth.

Your fingers must hurt.
Finally TheBeatlesVEVO uploaded a George Harrison song. I am waiting for "Here comes the sun". George was such a genius.

That would be great

Sadly, there is no music video for Here Comes the Sun :(

"I Me Mine"
"My Sweet Lord"
"All Things Must Pass"
“If I Needed Someone”
“For You Blue”
“I Need You”

“Think For Yourself”
“You Like Me To Much”
“All Those Years Ago”
“Isn’t It A Pity”
“Run Off The Mill”
“It Don’t Come Easy”
“What Is Life”

"Don't Bother Me"
George is amazing! He didn’t think much of don’t bother me but I love it! What is life is SO underrated too!
He didn't actually write 'Got My Mind Set on You', Harrison's Versions' are covers. The original version was written by Rudy Clark.
I would give some credit also to "This Guitar can't keep from crying", "Isn't it a pity", "Beware of Darkness", "I'd have you anytime", "Wah Wah", "What is life", "For you blue"

George wasn't even alive to hear this version of his song... I'm sure he'd love it... The way his voice blends with all those strings... Whenever I hear the ending of his vocals I feel like he's singing his last words and he's leaving his body while the melody keeps on going as he rests his soul in peace... It just couldn't get any better than that...

"I'm sitting here, doing nothing but ageing...." What a line! What a deep thought! What an emotional rollercoaster ride this song takes us on!
Oh, how about the mundaneness yet absolute greatness of the line, "I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping"? And then right after, "while my guitar gently weeps". Such a perfect description of what we all see, yet the helplessness we all feel about it. It is indescribable how amazing those lyrics are.

YES! Tonal modulation combined with very complex barber shop harmony made the Beatles sound very different. Listen to the making of the vocals for Paperback Writer to really understand their feat.

I can't hold it anymore... I am gonna break into tears.... please excuse me....
I look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps
[Verse 2]
I don't know why nobody told you
How to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you
[Verse 3]
I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps
[Verse 4]
I don't know how you were diverted
You were perverted too
I don't know how
You were inverted
No one alerted you
[Verse 5]
I look from the wings at the play you are staging
While my guitar gently weeps
As I’m sitting here, doing nothing but aging
Still my my guitar gently weeps.
I looked for it's lyrics everywhere, but they weren't as accurate as this one. Thanks my friend :)
This version is really intense, touches the untrodden depths of my spirit. Makes me cry every single time i listen to it. What a sad loss, may you rest in peace George. Well done to you Cirque du soleil! Congratulations to you for creating this artwork!
Thank you George for your wonderful music and lyrics that you share with all of us and the generations to come. Heavenly music. Wow.
You should have seen the choreography before they redid it. It was otherworldly in the emotion set forth.
J
J A when I listen to it I get a similar feeling as when I listen to brain damage or great gig in the sky.
I really wish John and Paul had given George more songs on albums, and assisted him like they did each other. Three great songwriters, Three guys who could sing lead.. That is KILLER

One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Time passes, The Beatles resist.Their songs won't ever get old for me.
Andreea Vesman true boo, while people are listening to edm here I am repeating The Beatles albums
So true! The Beatles are evergreen -- as fresh today as they were half a century ago.
In my opinion after listening to The Beatles for years, George Harrison is the best of the four.
Yeah, he's my favorite too
Definitely the best of 4.
Absolutely. I think the thing that shows the most in his favor, besides his amazing music, was his kindness, humanity, and spirituality. He had mountains of all of it.
He is my favorite too
I second that with a third through millionth.
The ones who hate dont really know them probably and never heard one of their songs fully
The people I've met who "hate" The Beatles are the same people who hate almost everything that became popular or mainstream.
AKA: "Edgelords"
They're not people who truly appreciate music, and usually only "like " one genre or even just a couple songs.
su do if one says they hate the Beatles, they are either extremely immature in their knowledge of music, or they are ignorant of their catalogue of songs.
They hate the pretentious people that come with the music.

(Note: The last chorus of this version of the song is different from the original, with the original just repeating the first chorus)

Ziga192837's best videos yes, first actual lyrics ! Thanks
The song. The arrangement. The animation. The choreography. This is simply pure beauty. A peak in arts. Thank you.
I just watched this live performed by Cirque du Soleil and literally cannot stop thinking about it. Truly haunting. Beautiful. Everything I needed. Nobody told me I'd need to bring tissues to a Cirque du Soleil show because I literally could NOT stop crying at certain points, this number being one of them.
"I don't know why nobody told me how to unfold your love". God, is that a lyrical line or what??
It's, "I don't know why nobody told you how to unfold your love". They're all too busy walking about in a trance with their heads bent over their mobile phones and bumping into people in the streets, rather than look where they're going. Or, as my History Teacher once stated after marking my dissertation, You've got your focus straight ahead and you can't see what's happening on the periphery. That's why no-one knows how to unfold their love.
No?
@@ladsleaks9344 Yes!
"I look at the floor and see it needs sweeping" isn't though.
@@AussieTVMusic It is if You keep a Dirty House! Or if you're like someone I heard recently complain to someone else, that their host had the audacity to expect them to wash the dirty plate they had eaten off of while staying at their home, and the advice given was just drop the plate on the floor and smash it, No Plate, No Problem. I wouldn't want these slobs visiting me or eating out of my house, only slobs don't clean up after themselves.:-(
I could listen to this version for hours and forever love it's beauty. Such a magical and comforting song from the lyrics to the instrumental composition.
Aubrey Jessop what is the original version of the song?
Yagiz Unluerler The original does not have the strings orchestra, that was added I believe in the 2000s. While My Guitar Gently Weeps was recorded on guitars and I believe piano and drums.
I‘m a fan of so many great musicians. But now I’m realising : The Beatles are the beginning of all.
Made, like baking a cake.
Wdym i dont understand these comments help i came here bc of my grandmpa singing this
Well yeahhh
They would tell you differently….a little research on them and they’d tell you who they copied and or were inspired by and who they admired…
@@jstixx yeah but so much music that followed was based on the Beatles. And it’s the only group you can create from one single song a whole genre.
There are a couple official versions of this song and I love all of them. The song is so beautiful that it doesn't matter which one you listen to, sir Harrison really made a masterpiece

Ibnul Rifat that qas abeautiful solo song of quiet george harrison the 3ed beatles as they may call him but there is skmething good for him his unique voice quality that john and pail recognized to give him more solo singing songs like indivjdjal singing of john and pajl jn theor many cincerts he has the potentjal like them so the resentment was there for him inside and ccannot blame him and being goodlooking too like them
ok

Someone tried telling me that the Beatles were overrated, and I countered their argument with this song. Truly a masterpiece
Dude, you only needed to prove them wrong, not to murder them!
Anyone who says they’re overrated doesn’t know anything about their catalogue of music.
I tell that the Beatles are overrated!! Oops! Am I dreaming?
If someone said that it's because that person didn't listen to them, or listened only the first album. What an ignorant person
How could they do that?! *Gasp*
It's my favourite Beatles song, "While my guitar gently weeps" , I like this dance and drawing performance. Forever.
All these year later this still resonates as one of George’s best songs. He was highly underrated and must of felt like a third wheel a lot of the time. But only a fool would think the Beatles could be the Beatles with any member not there. It took four geniuses to make the magic happen
The beatles were a super genius band, without compare. But in all honestly they would still be number 1 without harrisons songs.
Absolument d'accord. Les 4 sont fabuleux et tous sont aussi indispensables. Il ne fallait plus que Ringo à la fin pour que le plomb se change en or.
@@reneelkaim8651 yes. Ringo was close to leaving the band because he felt like the third wheel and wasn’t appreciated by the other three.
@@kickbox310 They would still be number 1 with only harrison's songs as well
R.I.P George Harrison this is my favorite song 😭

Hi Michael you’re also crying over George I see
The 'QUIET BEATLE' knocks it OUT OF THE PARK with this GREAT MASTERPIECE! It's no surprise that the Beatles are The BEATLES when you consider that George Harrison could, and would have been the #1 guy in any other band, but in the Beatles he is (often) considered #3. Long live the music of the GREATEST BAND EVER! Fab-4 / 4-Ever! 😀Yeah! 😃Yeah! 😄Yeah! 😁Yeah!!

You left out some fkin lyrics!!! Not the first time I've seen this. You probably would have had 1000 likes if you got it right the first time lol
Shut your ridiculous, ignorant, pretentious brain off, you waste of life.
Tom Mack don't listen to him
A good song arranged, performed and interpreted well always shines, no matter how complex or simple.
+CooManTunes Wow, man that's pretty harsh toward someone giving an opinion.

I love how gently George sings this. The word images are so beautiful.
George Harrison was the greatest gift for this planet!
No, all of the Beatles were.
Anyone know what the name of the mucical technique they do with the violin at 1:34 it's completely mesmerising.
Matt Sheppard might be a glissando? I don't know :)
Ghost DanceParty holy shit that's it thank you!
It's an arpeggio. Technically an arpeggiated glissando, but an arpeggio nonetheless.
Well I'm an 8th grade average violin player and I call it the slippy slide technique where you take your left hand and slide it like crazy on the finger bored to get a cool sound
Sounds like they're just doing a slide down. With the bow, you can just keep moving it while you do whatever with your left hand and you get a continuous sound.

This is such a beautiful melody. It’s amazing how many awe inspiring songs you hear that the Beatles brought to the world. I play steel guitar and dobro and I recently heard Jerry Douglas play this song. My jaw was on the floor and my eyes were moist with tears. When I got home I looked the song up and I was speechless to find out this was yet another Beatles song.
This band is still touching lives and influencing music today.
Nice.
